Mr. Clough has demonstrated a highly unprofessional attitude and demeanor when rendering services. When we contact him and explain the problems we are having, he is quick to cast blame upon our employees and accuses them of being solely responsible for whatever issue we are encountering. Our employees are very conscientious when it comes to day-to-day use of our computing system and although there may be some instances when employees perform a function that results in a problem with the computer; however, this is the exception and not the norm. When Mr. Clough arrives to work on an issue, his "fix" either does not fix the issue at all, or it causes additional problems which he neglects to address. He alleges that he has extensive experience in the Information Technology field; however, his actions typically indicate otherwise. We recently elected to call an IT services company from El Paso, TX to do a review of our network system due to the ongoing issues that Mr. Clough has failed to fix in an adequate manner. After doing an analysis of our network, the external IT services company identified a multitude of issues with the network. Many of these issues Mr. Clough alleges were fixed by him, but they were not. In addition, the external company identified SEVERAL security issues on our network, including the presence of viruses and malware on several computers and our server, which houses confidential data. We were informed by the external company that they do not believe Mr. Clough has adequate knowledge as it pertains to IT systems. Our network has been highly vulnerable for quite some time according to the external company. Moreover, Mr. Clough has provided NO written documentation on how our network is set up; as a result, the external company has had to do a "bottom-up" review of the network to figure out how Mr. Clough has the system set up. In terms of professionalism, Mr. Clough is highly disorganized, unfriendly, and our employees have complained repeatedly about Mr. Clough's personal hygiene. They state that they frequently have to clean any area where he sits for any length of time. I believe that if someone cannot maintain adequate personal hygiene, that is an indication that said person is not in any way a true professional. In summary, I would NOT recommend Mr. Clough or his company (he is the only employee in his company to our knowledge) to anyone who wishes to receive expert IT services. It is my opinion, and the opinion of my co-workers, supervisors and the external IT services company that this man is a fraud who does not have an adequate understanding of IT systems. I would advise anyone thinking of using his services to LOOK ELSEWHERE. His "services" are in no way worth the hassle.
Description of Work: Rex Clough, the owner of Harmony Computing, has performed technical support services to a company I worked for as well as rendered technical support for my home computing devices. Mr. Clough is responsible for the overall network operations for our company.
