+ -1 moreSee above. Ended miserably. I now have to pay another roofer to redo my entire roof. The Sunigas are smug and rude. The business is owned by a woman, her husband and his brother are the ones going out for estimates and inspections. The brother called me an idiot-said it is a perfect roof-and the husband was more interested in trying to buy an antique table I have that is not for sale. Very placating and condescending bunch. I am a single woman. Maybe they would not pull this stuff on a man.
Description of Work: My builder (Robert Najera-who I would also NEVER recommend) hired Suniga as a subcontractor to build the roof on my home during its construction. Suniga admitted to not conforming to the manufacturer's specifications in constructing the roof. It blistered and cracked on the flat portion. The tiled portion was not constructed properly-there is no grout between the tiles. I started having leaks 10 months after moving into my new home from both the flat and tiled portions. They refused to fix it, I had to sue them, and instead of stepping up, they threatened bankruptcy and walked away.

+ -1 moreThis appears to be a family business, with very good division of labor. Mrs. Suniga handled the customer contact and paperwork, Mr. Suniga supervised the effective and cheerful work crew. When they ran into structural problems underneath the old roof, work stopped long enough for Mr. Suniga to fully inform us of our options. The job did then cost quite a bit more, but we felt it was well worth the time and money. This appears to be a very honest and competent business. Also pleasant and straight-forward to deal with.
Description of Work: Complete new roof, including tear-off of old roof, repair and replace of decking and supporting structure where needed. Continuous ridge pole venting system.
