We had the good fortune of having Lone Mountain Roofing (J3 Systems, LLC) recommended to us last year by a long-time family friend who had turned to them to roof two of his houses over the years. Based on his strong recommendation, we contacted the company, and could not have been more pleased with the outcome. The entire process ? from the estimate through the installation to the final inspection ? exceeded expectations. Jason Utash, who was the first person from Lone Mountain we met, and Justin Birrell, who ultimately oversaw the installation, were fantastic. They enthusiastically answered all of our questions, recommended additional roofing companies we might contact if we didn?t go with them, and happily met with other contractors we were working with to discuss how other additions and improvements we were making to our house could best compliment the new roof and vice versa. We think our new roof is fantastic ? it?s certainly energy efficient ? can?t say enough good things about Jason, Justin, and the crew, and would unreservedly recommend Lone Mountain Roofing and J3 Systems, LLC to anyone.

This was an absolute text book experience. From the first estimator's visit, to the quote, to the scheduling, to the professional craftsmanship, to the follow up services, my expectations were exceeded. Everyone showed up on time at every step of the process with a good attitude. The crew was courteous, helpful, patient in answering all of my questions, and cleaned up after each day of work. I have recommended Lone Mountain Roofing to my friends and they are equally as satisfied.

They were professional and punctual. Unlike some of the other trades we have dealt with through this process they did what they committed to and did it in a timely manner. In addition, my husband discovered a hole in the roof (made accidentally by another trade) and contacted Lone Mountain to fix it. We forgot about it and he was recently on the roof and discovered the hole was repaired and Lone Mountain hadn't even told us they sent some folks by to do the repair. It was a delightful surprise!

Lone Mountain roofing provided an excellent roof installation on home. I see a lot of roofs in my line of work and their installation was one of the best I have seen. I did a lot of research before settling on the type of roof they installed. Lone Mountain was extremely helpful in answering all of the questions I had. They were extremely courteous and easy to work with. Their staff was prompt and very professional. They left our property very clean. They were also very prompt when I called to ask them to come out to take care of a quick detail. I would not hesitate to recommend both the company and the product to anyone who asks. Thank you for the great work!

Lone Star Roofing About three years ago I realized I needed to ?bite the bullet? and get a new roof. This is of course an expensive proposition. Being very conservative fiscally, I had at least a half-a-dozen roofing companies give me an estimate. Of all the companies that I spoke with I had a very good feeling when I talked to Jason of Lone Star Roofing. He assured me that they had a number of references for the jobs they had done previously . He also encouraged me to look at some online videos of the process. He also told me that he welcomed me to check out the job, as the procedure went along on my roof. The quote he gave me came in around the middle of the pack. Considering the treatment I received from other companies, Lonestar Roofing seemed happy to do the job rather than just being complacent about wanting my business like the others. After the decision was made, they worked on my roof in a quick and timely manner. My neighbor had a new roof and the company left a mess when they were done. This was not the case with Lonestar. They completed the job in a very timely manner and they cleaned up my property impeccably. I even had them do some special things, as my roof is a bit different. They handled it to my satisfaction. I have a very unusual roof on my home. There was a small problem but they handled it very quickly and explained in detailed the work they performed. Actually the problem was no fault of the roofing company but they fixed it anyway. I'm not sure another company would be so thorough. It's been 3 years now and I have not had a single problem with my unique flat roof. Although they have a very good warranty I have had no need for any of their services since they completed the job. Overall Lone Star Roofing was very professional and easy to work with. I have recommended Lonestar to my friends who have a special Roofing situation based on my experience. Frankly I would recommend Lone Star Roofing for any roofing need.

This roof has performed well, looks good, there have been no alterations to it, nor other issues in the past 8 years. Josh, one of the owners of Lone Mountain, came, I thought, to provide an estimate for the drain and evaluate the alleged seam issue as I requested. He immediately told me that the maker of the roof material was no longer in business and that the warrantee now only covered labor and I would need to pay any material costs now. He skirted the issue of the small seam area, and instead, threatened me that he would not provide me with a warrantee transfer to the new owner, which was NOT my reason for calling him there, unless I paid him $300-400 to caulk the perimeter. Caulking, which has nothing to do with membrane seams, is not under warrantee and is an owner maintenance issue which we had already performed earlier this year AND the inspector had not noted this as an issue. Josh gave me to understand, however, he would not document that the seam was fine unless I allowed him to caulk the perimeter for this sum. He stated he would have the estimate for the roof drain and a report possibly Friday but more likely on Tuesday when he was back (after labor day). I contacted him Tuesday morning only to have him change his story. He now demanded that I pay $350 more for a complete roof inspection, in addition to the $300-400 for the unnecessary caulk job. Per their Warranty paperwork, a transfer of Warranty also costs $250. So, it seems his intention was to soak me for $1000 to transfer the warranty, which in any case he stated to me he would transfer to the new buyer for only a year although I have two years left on my warranty. When I tried to explain that all I wanted was his opinion that the seam was not an issue- or a repair, and an estimate for a drain, he became angry at me and told me that I should have called Lone Mountain to inspect the roof before putting my house on the market. This a is roof they advertised as a lifetime forever roof, by the way which has performed and which looks - fine.. My only concern was a tiny rather questionably raised edge on a very small portion of seam, which is still under warrantee, for God;s sake, which I can easily have "repaired" at a fraction of his cost by someone else. These seams are heat sealed and are not rocket science and require no fancy special equipment or procedures-if it even needs to be done, which he will not put in writing it does not unless I give him ALOT of money, Avoid this company because if you have even the slightest interest in putting on one of their very expensive "forever" roofs, there is no customer service after they have your money and they do not honor their warrantees, even for the tiniest issue that would have cost them little, but is now holding up a home sale. They will just yell at you for not being a sucker.
Description of Work: I am selling my home and a home inspection thought my roof was sound but noted a small area of seam on the membrane roof that he felt had been improperly installed and was peeling back 1/8th of an inch. He also said I also would need to get an estimate for a drain over the porch area. The repair of membrane seam is still under warranty. All I wanted from Lone Mountain was adrain estimate and either a seam repair or a statement that the seam did not need to be repaired.

I highly recommend Lone Mountain Roofing. They were professional, very responsive and helpful with all of my concerns. As a single Mom, an investment this big can be daunting. When we needed a new roof this year, we went with Lone Mountain because they had done excellent work on a roof replacement for my parents seven years ago. Although we got quotes from several roofers, Lone Mountain was the best for the price and the quality of product (I also appreciate the 20-year material warranty and 10-year labor warranty). The quote they provided was broken out and provided a menu of options, such as different thicknesses of insulation and membrane, so we could select the combination that best fit our needs and budget. With the installation, I really appreciated how cautious they were about the weather -- when the scheduled date arrived and the forecast called for rain, they postponed several days until the skies cleared. Then they brought a double-sized team and got everything done more quickly than originally anticipated. They also did a great job of coordinating with our solar panel installers so that the frames for the panels were put on after the old roof was torn off, and the new roof went on around them, avoiding any new penetrations. So far, the roof has held up very well through several heavy rains -- no more leaks!

I am getting to that magic age of 65 so I thought I would treat myself to a roof (pcp membrane) that would be one and done for the rest of my life. I have managed property for many years and generally get estimates and investigate people working for me. I did not do that this time. People I trusted (good people) recommended Lone Mountain and so I signed a generic contract without other bids. The roof was started on June 25, 2014, after several delays and a change in the grade of the pcp material the day before. More expensive but the only membrane recommended to be used on asphalt roofs and all they had in stock if I wanted to get started. The roof was done quickly but the conduit to the front light was sitting in water and the slant to the roof overwhelmed the new gutters and the roof now has new pooling water places evident when the big rains last summer started in July. The skylights also had not been done because they were of a nonstandard size....true, but when they were finally replaced three weeks later it was done by them building out a standard frame and putting in standard skylights. The beginning of the rains could have been much worse for me as the membrane temporarily put over the skylights was not tacked down very good and I had to manually hold the membrane up for several days before the company got back to me and admitted that yes the membrane was not tacked down correctly for the rain we were having. I have already had to have an electrician fix the conduit and the swamp cooler. I am not sure that this expensive membrane roof will hold as so many other things were done wrong. I would recommend not using this company and be very careful with the contract that you sign should you decide to go with them.

I called Lone Mountain Roofing/J3 Systems and they scheduled me with an appointment with Jason Utash. Jason was on time and was very professional. He measured the roof, and discussed options and left samples with me. The following day, I received an emailed estimate which was both comprehensive and competitive. They spelled out all the variables and associated costs. After talking to a couple of other companies and reviewing all their reviews, I chose LMR/T3S. They sent a crew out to patch/cover or minimize the leak until they could do the tear off/reroof. Because of weather issues they kept me informed by phone and email as to the scheduled start date. Justin, their crew foreman was super easy to talk to, explained everything they were doing and finished the job even earlier than I expected. This new roof is beautiful. They worked with some big challenges like low clerestory windows and huge low spots and now it has slope and is much more solid to walk on. All in all, a very positive experience. They did a great job (and were careful to clean up after they were done). I will use them again and would recommend them to friends.

It was a large job that finally needed to be done, had someone maintaining it for several years but couldn't put it off any longer. I wasn't looking forward to the experience, but this company made it a very efficient and even pleasant experience. The gentleman who worked up my proposal was very efficient, personable, and answered all my questions in a timely manner, plus he gave me several options in case I wanted to upgrade, one of which I did eventually decide on because I felt it fit my particular circumstances a bit better than the basic installation. The gentleman who was actually in charge of the physical roofing checked in onsite each day plus he came out before the job was started and discussed everything with me and explained to me how it would all proceed. The roofing crew were very hard working, punctual, and cheerful. They got the job done in a very timely manner. The gentleman who had done my proposal did come by a few days later to look over the work and a separate inspection is to be done shortly by someone not involved with the job. While I have not had the roof long enough to see how it actually holds up, it is warrantied and I did go online and check out the particular system I choose and felt it was the right one for my particular roof. not inexpensive but I have a large roof and knew about what to expect price wise. I did choose an upgrade and I feel like I got a really good system for my money and a maintenance program is included in the price of the roof.

Our 15+ year old tar and gravel roof and 25+ year old shingles were in need of replacement. After doing some research on what type of new roof we wanted and based on the work the same company had done for my neighbor, we gave Lone Mountain a call. Justin came to give an estimate and explain what options were available. What I really liked was that all of the options were menu-style, so we could really customize what we wanted in terms of the membrane material, sloping, mounting style of the membrane to the stucco, and the extent of removal of the old roof (strip off completely versus remove just the gravel). This was extremely helpful in letting us optimize and customize what we wanted in terms of aesthetics, performance and price. I asked a lot of questions and did a lot of research on my own on the membrane options, and never felt that I was being upsold on any part of the job. For the flat part, we wound up going with a 20 year warranty PVC membrane, tapering on the flat roof to assist runoff, and just the basic removal of the old tar and gravel roof. There were a few additional expenses and surprises (swamp cooler had to be raised to accommodate the sloping, a non-code "homeowner special" electrical conduit/cable installed by the previous owner that ran over the roof had to be removed, etc.), but minor glitches are expected and I was kept in the loop and given options on how I wanted it handled every step of the way. The pitched part of the roof was done in one day, and the rest of the work on the flat part took another two and a half days. The foreman and crew were prompt, courteous, professional and efficient. Lone Mountain has a standing crew that does the membrane installation, and it shows. The quality of the membrane seams and the seal of the membrane to the stucco is very nice and the finish is neat. For all the foam that was used for the sloping, you could hardly tell afterwards that any cutting was done on-site because the cleanup was so thorough. These guys are professionals and the attention to detail shows. We've been through one summer and monsoon season with the new roof, and I am extremely pleased. The membrane reflects the sun and the house is cooler on summer days, and with the slope to the flat roof when it rains I don't have a wading pool over the garage anymore. I highly recommend this company.

Josh, Justin and the installation crew were awesome. They showed up when they said they would, were prepared, had a very positive work ethic, provided answers to questions, were customer service oriented and kept me informed of the progress. This was actually the 2nd time I utilized them with this being a total roof replacement. The product they use is phenomenal. The crew did a great clean-up when the project was completed. Overall, I was very pleased with the entire project from meeting for the estimate, to having the work done. They were responsive to me and my questions and provided no only an excellent installed product but a very high level of customer service. I would highly recommend alone Mountain Roofing.
