Description of Work: My townhouse has a flat roof that had been replaced by conventional tar-based material but continued to leak and cost money to repair. The situation was very worrisome and I dreaded rain. Based on recommendations I contacted Lone Mountain and although I could only secure an installation date about 4 months away, I contracted with them. After about 2 months they unexpectedly found a slot and did the installation in the winter months. Everything looked OK until I tried to use my swamp cooler which had been moved during the installation; there were several leaks to the water supply. I then contacted Jason Utash who immediately arranged for a technician to make the necessary repairs. Thank you, Jason! There have been no other problems with roof leaks and I recommend Lone Mountain for their professionalism and quality service.

Description of Work: I had Loan Mountain Roofing replace my flat roof with a PVC membrane roof. The workers showed up on time and were very hard working and efficient. They even fixed the broken float on my rooftop mounted swamp cooler, which was above and beyond the call of duty. After they completed the job there was a problem caused by rainwater leaking through a crack in the parapet (not their fault) but they came back and caulked it the next day. This company is a bit expensive, but they offer a good warranty- 15 years on materials and 10 years on labor- in addition to a complimentary biennial roof inspection and maintenance program- so to me it was worth it. I highly recommend Lone Mountain Roofing.

Description of Work: Lone Mountain removed tar and gravel and applied a membrane to my 1,300 sq. ft. flat roof about a year ago. Polite, respectful, and capable workmen arrived early on the day they were due and left everything broom clean after they finished. Almost a year later I noticed a few Chinese elm seeds (flat and round ones) had blown in from a skylight. All it took was my phone inquiry. Within 3 days familiar faces climbed up their ladder, tip-toed around my new solar panels, resealed the errant skylight and--thanks to a 10-year warranty--charged me nothing. | |It's one thing to lay a roof. It's quite another to be in the business long enough to keep a promise.

As I noted in another review, Lone Mountain came after we'd received no satisfaction from our original roofing contractor. They were very thorough about exploring possible solutions to an existing leak problem, and stuck to the schedule I'd requested in working around some other contracting we were having done at the same time. The crew worked an incredibly long day (on a Saturday) to keep on schedule. While I'm always reluctant to claim victory on a roofing problem until a year passes with no leaks, I'm very satisfied thus far.
Description of Work: Removed pavers and substrate on two balconies -- resurfaced balconies and an adjoining roof area with their poly shield roofing material -- stacked the pavers neatly, as we'd requested, so they could be reused elsewhere.

They ruined our ceiling and some of our walls and our roof leaks more than it did before they did the work. After a lot of argument and persistence on my part, they are now repairing it, but it is still not fixed. Every time it rains we have yet another leak. They have said that they will repair the walls and the ceiling, but there is no point in doing that until the roof stops leaking. This has been going on for the past 18 months. They patch it, it rains and we have leaks again. They have been out here between 12 and 15 times. The last time they came out was 2 months ago. We have not had a big rain yet so I don't know if it's fixed or not. They don't charge us. They are now being very cooperative, but it took a lot of work on my part to get that to happen. Now they are being responsive, but I hesitate to say that because we haven't got to the point where the roof is not leaking as yet. They say they are going to repair the ceiling and walls, but I have no idea if that will be another fight. Only some of their crew is outstanding. Initially they told me that it was my fault that the roof was leaking and gave different reasons for it, but they are not doing that now, so that way it's improved. The roof is still leaking. I would not hire the company again.
Description of Work: Lone Mountain Contracting is still trying to repair what they did when they came out to replace our roof.

The initial installation went well, however, we had persistent leaks in our canales as well as other areas of the roof. Every few years we'd get a leak, and they'd send someone out to fix it. Every time it was fixed, we'd get a different reason why it was leaking. After the 10-year warranty expired, we continued to get leaks, and the first time we called, we paid about $150 for repairs that lasted about a year. The most recent time we had a leak, it was days before anyone could come over, and they did no repairs. Instead, we got a proposal to either get a new roof or pay approximately $900 for repairs, plus a bill for $170 for inspecting the roof (about 15 minutes of work). The scope of the repairs did not even mention the leaking canales or even the area of the roof where the biggest leaks were occurring.
Description of Work: They installed a membrane roof on our 2000 sq foot house.

Our roof was 22 years old and in need in replacement. However, a few years back due to collapsed ducts, we had moved our heating/ac/ductwork onto the roof. We obtained several bids, mostly from those who used tar and gravel. In each case we would have had to pay (separately) for a crane to raise the furnace and some duct work--an expensive endeavor. A neighbor referred us to Lone Mountain. By using a membrane system, none of this was necessary. We were impressed with this very professional company right from the start. Everyone we have dealt with has been terrific - their estimator, the crews, the office staff. It was a pleasure doing business with them. And, the roof is beautiful!

We had an old foam roof that had a persistent leak in one area. Although Lone Mountain showed up on time and did the work they said they would do, we now have a partially ruined electrical system (for which they knocked $300 off the bill), holes punched through our beautiful tongue and groove ceiling, and new leaks every time it rains. They are sticking to their warranty and repairing the roof but they are not responsive. It takes many phone calls to get them back out here to address the problems.
Description of Work: Lone Mountain put a new membrane roof over our 3600 sq. ft. roof. This entailed removing gravel and repairing some areas.

LMC had good information on various roofing options that they provide. The installation went well. The only annoyance was that the heavy rolls of vinyl were dumped hard on the roof and shook the whole house a couple of times. The company came back after a month and only charged $150 to flash and seal up newly installed skylights. There have been no leaks in the two years since the installation.
Description of Work: LMC installed a single-ply PVC-vinyl white membrane on my 1600 sq ft flat roof house. This roof is covered by a 10-year warranty (materials & labor).

They only took one day and cleaned up everything. They were prompt and very professional throughout the entire process. They used a tough vinyl membrane with foam insulation underneath it, and heat-sealed all the joints.
Description of Work: Ten years ago, they put a new roof on my flat-roofed house. It was tricky because the canals weren't installed correctly in the first place, so we did have a few minor leaks over the years; however every time I called, they sent someone over right away --even on Christmas Eve-- to fix it. But we've had no major leaks and expect it to last another 10 years, in contrast to our previous tar and gravel roof which started leaking badly after 3 years. Plus it's white so it reflects sun and keeps the house cooler in summer. They do cost more, but it lasts almost forever.
