They worked with the insurance company because I had had a slow leak and had some mold. Jason worked with the insurance company to make sure it was done all at once so the new room would not get rained in while the roof was exposed. They even showed up 2 years later to do an inspection they told me they would do and i didn't even have to call. I was very very pleased!

Excellent. Lone Mountain is easy to work with, professional, prompt service. With added foam under the membrane we've greatly improved insulation and gained substantially lowered heating bills in the winter. We have had a couple of episodes of leakage on the earlier roofs associated with snow melt and with rain. Getting these repaired was totally simple and effective. Membrane roofs are more expensive than other types (e.g. built up), but are of far greater value and should pay off in terms of longevity, effectiveness and maintenance. I recommend Lone Mountain enthusiastically and would not look elsewhere.
Description of Work: Installed new membrane roof with foam insulation, replacing a built-up roof on a rental house we own in Santa Fe. We've had roofs replaced previously by Lone Mountain for our residence and another rental house in Los Ranchos, NM.

Everything went extremely well from the initial contact and estimate to the final inspection! I was visited 3 times before the job even started because Lone Mountain wanted to make sure that I was going to get exactly what I wanted. Whenever I had a question, I would either call or email and their response was always quick and to the point! The job started the exact day it was scheduled. The crews were very professional. They answered all my questions, worked very efficiently and were very meticulous about clean up. The foreman kept me updated several times a day! The job was done in 2 days and I couldn't be happier with the result! A few days later a separate inspection crew came to thoroughly check out the job that was done. Lone Mountain takes pride in a job well done!! I'm more than happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a new roof!
Description of Work: Lone Mountain removed my existing roof down to the tar. They bored test holes to check for rotten plywood, removed the old canales and replaced them with clad lined ones, put down 1/2 inch insulation, re-roofed using Fibertite 50 mil. membrane and installed a metal edging along the parapets.

Jason responded to my phone call request to estimate the cost of a new roof. He arrived when he said when he sai he would and even though it was raining he inspected the roof. afterward, he gave me an estimate. A small amount of discussion ensued and in very little time we came to an agreement on the cost. He told me when to expect the crew to arrive, which they did on the date expected. It took two days, during which we lived in the house with no problems. Little noise and disruption. Once done, they cleaned up the roof area and all around the house. Since the installation there have been no leaks. At one year Jason emailed me that they were coming out for the one-year inspection, which was performed quickly and no problems were detected. Very professional. I recommend them.
Description of Work: Installed a membrane roof over the original roof which leaked for the entire 8 years since the house was built.

Jason came out and gave an estimate for a flat residential re-roof. Out of 10 roofers I had come out to bid for the job, he was by far the most professional and informative. He sat down with me, explained the different technologies available, and provided different pricing options in the proposal. On a follow-up visit, we walked the roof again with the project manager that would manage the job during the actual work, and they, again, were both very professional and informative, answering every little question I had (a lot). I can tell these guys pay attention to detail with their work and back that up with a decent warranty and complimentary 10-yr inspection service. Ultimately, due to unavoidable circumstances (discovered termites), I had to put the roof project on hold. Nonetheless, Lone Mountain has earned my recommendation.

The staff at Lone Mountain exceeded my expectations! When part of my roof blew off, I called around and got several estimates. Only Lone Mountain followed through after giving me my estimate, contacting me again and asking if I had further questions or concerns. Once I gave them the ok, they arranged to come out just a few days later and do a temporary fix to get me by until they had a full crew available to replace the entire roof. When that day came they ended up having extra guys available (due to bad weather elsewhere) and sent out several crews to work together and started replacing the roof that very day rather than just patch it. When unexpected complications arose (many surprises were found under my visible slightly pitched roof, such as a complete tar and gravel flat layer) they kept me up to date, gave me options - and then the crew got to work, not complaining even once about the amount of extra work they had to do. I was very impressed by this! They completed the job on both the house and the barn in just a day and a half. 2 years later I haven't had any leaks or problems, and they came back to inspect the roof as promised.

After a lengthy research period of roofing contractors in the area I chose to go with Lone Mountain Roofing based on their track record and reviews from others. I can say I definitely made the right choice. They provided a quality product and installation. They have been professional and prompt in all interactions. Roof installation came with a bi-annual roof inspection which recently came up with no issues. I was impressed with the fact that I did not have to call and remind them they were proactive in contacting me to do the inspection.

We have a pro-ply roofing system installed by Lone Mountain. The roof has leaked more times than I can count, in numerous places. I would estimate that at least 5 out of the last 7 years we have had leaks. At times they have had to come out and fix leaks more than once in a single year. The roof was installed in 2005 so it is 9 years old. Finally, last year (2013) Lone Mountain admitted the roofing material was defective and said that they would not repair the roof further after the warranty period expired. They blamed the defects on the manufacturer and offered a discount if I were to have them replace the roof with a new one. Unfortunately after have leaks so many times and having to wait for sometimes WEEKS for them to come out and repair the leaks, I have no confidence in this company and am seeking to have the roof completely replaced even though it is only 9 years old and still under warranty. I have one further complaint, a HUGE complaint. When we had leaks (which was frequent) Lone Mountain would take a very long time to get a crew out to our home to fix the leaks. The last time they said they were so backed up (it was the rainy season) that they could not put me on their schedule (stating it would be difficult to know this far out if the appointment would need to be re-scheduled due to the time it takes to fix each roof they already had scheduled). I asked for an estimate of how long it would take to get someone out to fix the leaks. It was the rainy season and every rain resulted in leaks in both of my children's rooms. They said weeks, but could not be more specific. I asked to have them call me in the event of a cancellation, and my best recollection was that it was a about 10 days to 14 days before they actually came out. I asked why it was taking so long to get a repair person out and was told that there were a lot of people with leaks. I then asked if they were having major problems with their roofs failing causing them to be so backed up, and was told that they worked on a first-come-first-serve basis and would therefore take calls in order received rather than take care of their roofs under warranty first!!! I complained that wasn't fair, they should take care of their customers first, but was again told of the policy of first-come-first serve, new customers and warranty customers would all have to wait in line. So this company would take new (PAYING) customers who had leaks before servicing their own faulty roofs!!! That was really the last straw for me, I don't think they could have possibly been more unprofessional. I also note that in past years there was never a quick response to a leak. I always had to wait a long time to get my roof fixed. Since Lone Mountain was only responsible for repairs and not damage to my home (according to their warranty) their terribly slow service in performing repairs has resulted in my home leaking for days to weeks at times while I waited for a repair. Every contractor that has gone up (3 estimates so far) has noted soft spots on the roof and has indicated that repairs are likely but I will not know the extent of the damage until the Lone Mountain Roof comes off. Final comment: One of the contractors that has come out to estimate the cost of a roof replacement got off the roof and immediately commented to me after observing the terrible state my roof was in, "Lone Mountain Roof?" "Yes, unfortunately."

They were excellent, did a good job, cleaned up when finished each day and at the end of the job. The workers were very friendly and gladly answered any questions I had about what they were doing or what was going to happen. They were a little bit more expensive, but worth it. The other major company that does TP roofs, would not keep appointments or show up. Jason was great to work with and I would not hesitate to use Lone Mountain again.

.Since Lone Mt. replaced our tar and gravel roof with their PRO-PLY membrane system in 2007, we have had major leaks at least several times a year. Each time they came out they said they had fixed it and it would leak again. Josh recommended we replace some of the canales which we did at the cost of $3000.00 and it leaked again ( in the same place!). Then they said we had leaks in the stucco. We had several stucco people come out only to tell us the stucco was fine. One of our interior walls is so damages by leaks, it wall is buckling. In Nov. when Lone MT. last came out, one of their workers, who did not want to be identified to Lone Mt. told me the product they used was" defective" and they no longer use it any more. When I called Lone Mt about this information, Josh said " well I can't really say it was defective but lets just say we no longer use this product as we have had trouble with it". To admit the material was defective would mean they would have to replace it as stated in their warranty at no charge. Instead Josh offered to replace it and charge us what we originally paid for in 2007 ($21,535) plus another $8,000 to tear off the original and haul away debris. His current estimate to replace it in last Nov. 2013 was $45,512. This month I have three different roofing companies come and look at the roof. Two roofers have said they have they have other people call them for a total roof replacement who had roofs done by Lone Mt , one still under warranty like ours. In addition to the material, all three roofing contractors said the roof was not applied correctly. They showed us many places where caulking alone was used in instead of a patch and then sealing. They used 4" flashing instead of 6". etc. I wish Lone Mt. had told us earlier that the problem with my roof was the material . They were not forth coming even when they knew . As a result, I have water damage/stains throughout out my home. Because of their lack of integrity, and poor workmanship, I would NEVER recommend this company to any one!!

Description of Work: I requested an estimate from Lone Mt. Roofing for repair work. Someone came out, stood on the roof for awhile talking on the phone. He handed me a flier for Lone Mt. Roofing when he left. He didn't give me an estimate or discuss the repairs needed. He did collect a diagnostic fee of $81.49. When I called up this morning to complain, Johnny Sanchez told me I need a new roof, he could send someone out to give me an estimate. This doesn't sound like the beginning of a happy experience. Since I've already paid for my estimate I scheduled a time for them to come out.

Response from Lone Mountain Roofing- J3 Systems LLC
Our company policy is to bill for repair work diagnostic appointments. We try to be very clear from the start that if a customer is calling for repair work there is a diagnostic fee regardless of whether work is performed or not. If repair work can be performed, that diagnostic fee goes toward the repair fee. However, we do provide free re-roof estimates. In this particular situation, the repair technician got on the roof, observed that it was beyond repair, called his manager while on the roof to update and confirm the situation, then gave printed information about our new roof services. We will continue to strive for better communication right from the start to minimize the chance of misunderstandings like this.

Well, since this is New Mexico, we didn't get much rain. About 15 months later, during the monsoon season, the roof started leaking. I called Lone Mountain. The same guy that managed my job came out and said the roof looked sound and he thought it was a fluke stating that the wind was blowing so hard that the water must have come in sideways through the eaves. Not knowing any different, I was satisfied. Next monsoon season, more of the same. Again more excuses. This went on for 3 monsoon seasons total. Every time I called Lone Mountain, I was referred back to the same guy, even by the boss. I had Darly from roofs by Daryl out to do an inspection. While he and his assistant were on the roof, they kept laughing. When he came down he said he had never seen anything like it. Among other things, he said that Lone Mountain had not laid down felt underlayment, wrapped pipes or observed lay lines. The list went on and on. I had to replace the roof! Lone Mountain never responded. I would NEVER use them for anything again. If you do, BEWARE!
Description of Work: I had a pitched slate shingle roof which was damaged in a hail storm. My neighbor, recommended Lone Mountain, as they had just replaced her flat roof (which within 3 years leaked like a sieve). Because my shingles had asbestos, they required special handling for removal. Lone Mountain said no problem. They came in on schedule, took the asbestos, and laid a new roof.

As preparation for installation of a solar project, we wanted a "lifetime" seamless roof. When I called Lone Mountain for an estimate, Jason called me back, promptly made and kept an appointment for an estimate and discussion. We obtained estimates from three different companies. During the contracting process, he kept me updated via email with any changes we requested and promptly responded to any questions we had. When they won the bid, they immediately began the process of scheduling the work. The roof was installed in one day with a rating of "excellent" by the solar project inspector who needed to make sure that the roof was ready for the project. I felt like Lone Mountain was responsive and professional. The work crew was clean and unobtrusive. The decisions made for esthetic as well as functionality were very good. We are very pleased with the performance and look.
Description of Work: Installation of a seamless, white roof. The roofing company evaluated the condition of the current roof, looked for any problem areas, coordinated with engineers to ensure that specific requirements would be met. Since the old roof was under 8 years of age, the new roof was applied over the existing one. Special 'form fitting' collars were used around any vent pipes and an extra layer of roofing fabric was laid under AC units. Two colors of roofing 'fabric' were used since we are able to look out onto several lower roof sections.

I thought the bid was absolutely catastrophic for a flat roof and it makes me very concerned about their company. I can't imagine why anyone would make a quote like that and only do a partial flat roof, it's just beyond belief. I would never, never recommend them. I felt like we were being scammed and ripped off. None of their whole bid made any sense whatsoever. They did respond back but there was no way to compare their quote to any other quotes because it was like comparing apples and oranges the way they did things.

It was a very positive experience because of the way they communicated and the way they did their job. They cleaned up and they had an excellent product compared with other roofers around here. They communicated electronically by email. They didn't act like other contractors. They were prompt. They come back every year for free to check to see if everything is alright. Their product is the best around and their people were outstanding. Their price was higher than other types of roof but it lasts twice as long and it cools the house. The price was good for what we got.

Work done is very good and should last many years. Neighbors who used this company or same system very satisfied and told me it is long-lasting. Only problem with the actual work was that I was told the roof would not be visible at all and actually the edge of it is visible but only if you look for it. The crew that did the actual work was good. Problem came with the communication with the project manager assigned to me and with the office. The project manager was supposed to be in touch with me and was not. I had to keep on top of the progress and initiate contact from my side all the time. The office person took three times to get the payment receipts correct. Very uncomfortable dealing with her. I needed particular receipts as I was going through the State Historic Preservation Committee and this was all explained ahead of time. I chose this company over a close competitor simply because this one takes credit cards and the other one did not. Expensive roofing job but it makes a big difference in the summer because of the insulation and reflective quality. Other problem was that until I got in touch with the company no one came for the final inspection. I had a little trouble with the final approval of the Historic Preservation Committee because the roof is visible and they had approved the job with the understanding it would not be at all visible. Someone then came to inspect it and found out that the parapets on my house are not very deep so that with the insulation thickness that was the only way the roof could be completed -- by having it show a little at the edge. In the end, the Committee approved it but others with a house like mine and shallow parapets may not get approval. I do recommend this type of roofing for flat roofs -- the vinyl membrane type with insulation.
Description of Work: Complete new roofing using vinyl membrane system with chosen insulation beneath. Sealed at seams and around canales. Before the actual roofing job, someone came to patch one part of the roof that had been damaged by a recent very heavy rain.

This past summer a large leak around the swamp cooler surfaced causing extensive damage to his ceiling inside the house (keep in mind, they inspected and approved everything on the roof prior to warranty transfer) and the company stated that he needed to replace the swamp cooler as it was rusted and causing the leak, not the roof. He replaced the cooler including all the duct work and asked them to come back out to repair the roof around the new cooler. They came out, patched the roof (which we were under the assumption would be considered warranty) and a week later he received a bill for $330.00. When he called and spoke to the owner of the company, he was told that it was NOT covered by the warranty and he needed to pay the bill. He was further threatened that if he did not pay the bill that the company would consider the contract and warranty voided. So he agreed to go half way with the company explaining that he felt it should have been covered under the warranty or it they should have stipulated the exception when THEY inspected the roof for the warranty transfer. He also told them that he was never given an estimate for repairs nor had any knowledge that this was going to be billable and was completely caught off guard when he received the bill in the mail. They finally reached an agreement on the charge as my son did not want to lose the warranty (for what it was worth). We could not believe that they would conduct themselves in such an unprofessional manner as to the way they talked and treated him during the phone conversations. If he has problems in the future with his roof, he pretty much feels like "these guys aren't about to honor their contract" and is even apprehensive about having to contact them for any reason. So around November of this year we noticed there was still a small leak around the cooler and we contacted them to come take a look as we explained we had hired a contractor to fix the damaged ceiling but needed to be sure that there would be not more chance of a leak. When the guy came out he was immediately confrontational. We explained that there was no need for confrontation and explained to him about the small leak we notice on the ceiling and just wanted to get it fixed and not have further damage. He found a small (tiny) leak near the cooler and fixed it. He then told us that it was probably made when the swamp cooler was closed down. He told us to take care and NOT set things on the roof that can cause holes. That's assuming how it happened. We told him that we appreciated the advice and would certainly pay more attention to such things in the future. He left after making several more minor fixes (just in case) and we tipped him $20 dollars for his work (assuming once again "warranty"). About 2 weeks later my son received a $25.00 bill in the mail. He paid it and we now are keeping our fingers crossed that we will never have to deal with this company again for fear of retaliation.
Description of Work: Warranty work to flat roof they installed on residence. The home was purchased 3 years ago and included in the purchase was the transfer of the roof warranty. The roofing company conducted their own inspection of the roof and then initiated a contract to transfer the warranty to my son charging him $275.00 for the transfer.

I was not very happy with them. I think that the roofers are too lousy around here. Everyone here has a flat roof and flat roof is notoriously bad especially around the canale. They came back to fix it. I have a ten years warranty that will be expiring next year as I had it done in the year 2002. It was a major leak but they did not accept any responsibility for it. They just fixed the leak and the roof. There was one person called Mr. Louis who was very good unlike some of the other people. He was the one that actually put the roof on and I finally insisted on him coming back. There were various cracks in the membrane that he fixed and that should have been fixed by the previous person that came a week before.
Description of Work: I used the services of Lone Mountain Contracting Incorporated in January 2011 to fix my roof that was leaking in the canale.
