It went well, though not without glitches. Al came back and fixed all the problems, though, and in every way, served us in a professional way. The gas heater is working very well, saving us about $25-$35 per month. It's frequently the case, that contractors are hired, and complete the job with some things unfinished, or needing additional adjustment which might not be obvious at first. The true test of a good contractor is how well they handle these problems. Al did a wonderful job of communicating, responding, and completing the needed work.

They dropped the ball on some inspections. We had some warnings by the county because they did not complete the inspections. We are trying to avoid using them in the future. We are looking around for other companies but I do not know if we will find anyone we like any better.

Al was punctual, courteous, and professional. He was a little absent-minded on the proposals, among other things bidding a larger furnace than the other contractors who looked at the house thought was necessary. He was, however, very responsive and open to working to get his bid adjusted so it was competitive. The actual work went off without a hitch, until afterwards I discovered he hadn't done a major part of the job--the back part of the house hadn't been tied in with the original ductwork! Somehow, in all my scrubbing of his bids, I hadn't noticed that this part of the job had been left off. It could have been ugly, since there was nothing in writing to support my assertion that this work had been part of the job all along. However, Al agreed to run the additonal ductwork and install three new registers for cost of materials. Within a week, he had the job completed. A couple of the registers required holes to be cut in tile, and his guys did a flawless job. What I've learned from this experience is that you can pay a lot more for the same thing, and you might also be able to pay a little less, but it definitely pays to go with someone with integrity, because no matter how hard you try, there's a good chance you're going to overlook something unless you do this stuff for a living--which if you did you wouldn't be looking to hire someone else.

The work was performed aspromised and the crew was very professional. We were very pleased since this was the middle of winter and we needed to have our furnace working! Very pleased with their services.

Our furnace decided to stop working during a record breaking cold snap and Pearl Mechanics was able to fit us in among the hundreds of others experiencing problems. The technician was knowledgeable, polite and professional. He showed my husband what was wrong and then quickly fixed it.. The price was good and we haven't had any problems with our furnace since he came out but if we do, we're going to be calling Pearl Mechanics again. They do quite a bit when it comes to furnaces and air conditioners and every part of dealing with them was nothing but professional.

They were excellent in all ways. Their price, customer service and promptness were all good.

We had some subsequent problems and part of it was communication issues. We had to have some re-inspection done. The price seemed fair. They responded to our issues and worked with us to resolve the problems that we had.

Al and his son did a great job replacing my furnace, and an excellent price too. Pearl Mechanical is a small, family operated business and they care about their work. I will contact them for all my future HVAC needs.

Called a week in advance to schedule simple A/C check-up/start-up service for summer. Needed them to come on Thursday or Friday. They chose Friday between 3:00-5:00 p.m. and said technician would call for directions when on route. Around 4:15 p.m. had not heard from him so called and left message. No return call so I called back at 5:00 p.m. Technician said he received my message but was still on another job and could not come today. Rescheduled for Saturday around 2:00 p.m. (Technician had another morning job first) My phone rang @ 8:43 a.m. Saturday morning. Same technician said he was expecting morning job to take longer than anticipated and that he wanted me to know that up front. Recommended I call another company for work. Appreciated his honesty but was not happy that was told this at this late time. Got impression that my job was too small or a bother for them. He did offer an option to send someone else for the job. I chose this company based on Angie's List, a small company hoping for great service. Guess I chose the wrong company.

This company was outstanding. Prompt, professional and very cordial. I was having a new heater installed in a property I rent out, though I live out of state. They were very informative over the phone, explaining the nature of the problem and my alternatives. I never felt a "hard sell". I felt they genuinely wanted to build a long term relationship with me. Pearl, yes an actual person, was terrific. In fact after I had paid, she called me to explain there was a billing error in my favor (!) and promptly refunded my money. I will definitely use them again.

From the date that we chose this company, installation was scheduled for a few days later. Mr. Trujillo and his son arrived on time and finished on time. They cleaned up after they were done. We were extremely impressed with the professionalism of this company.

They didn't keep their appointment and they never called me back.

They were on time, professional, courteous, cost competitive and efficient. End to end, they did a superior job!

These folks were great! Pearl responded immediately and scheduled installation. She called when workmen were running late. Mat, who is part-owner of this family business was professional and quickly installed the swamp cooler. The price was reasonable, and the work was done to my satisfaction--and then some! And, to top it all off, the final bill was $2 LESS than what I was quoted. If you need a swamp cooler, these are the folks to call.

I just moved here from Louisiana and have never heard of "swamp coolers" before. It was obvious that something needed to be done with the water line needed to be done since winter was coming. I randomly found this company from the phone book. They were great. They promptly returned my call, and was at my house the same day. He showed me how to do the setup and take down my cooler for next season, which was nice. Very honest, reliable. He did a small job in a great way for me. I will definitely call him back for larger jobs in the future.
