My overall experience was excellent, the price was fair and the amount delivered was accurate. I was worried a little about whether the amount of wood would fill up the cubic feet assigned to the unit of measurement--a "cord." Many reports on the internet say that people always feel like they got a little less than they thought when it was stacked and measured at their home. That is why we see so many adds for "a wheel barrow full" and "truckloads" of firewood--they don't have to guarantee the amount sold. My delivery was accurate. It came with a few unsplit logs that were a little large for my stove, but I figured since the load was mounded on the truck I got those thrown in for free :) . I am writing this unsolicited review for the following reasons: The owner, Marcus Romero was upfront about the size of the delivery truck and when it came it was mounded over the top to insure that the total amount promised was accurate. Even though he has several "yards" outside of Albuquerque, his main market is in Albuquerque and so don't be discouraged by the Moutainair, NM address The group's MAIN business is logging--they take the parts of the trees less than about 24 inches in diameter and convert that into firewood, so it is not wasted. Every year they sell many hundreds of cords of wood--some of them go to the big name landscaping places in Albuquerque that also re-sell firewood. They have all type of wood at various prices. I chose the pine because we have a big stove and I didn't need the high heat capacity wood. It was a good deal at about $100 a cord. Woods with higher heat capacities will cost more. You can pick it up, have it delivered without stacking on site, and choose between split and unsplit. I would highly recommend split, since the trees these pieces come from can be up to 24 inches across! One comment on how big the pieces were. The rule of thumb that they use seems to be that a large man has to be able to pick up the piece of wood from end end with one hand--if he can't then it must be spit (or split again). This can result in pieces bigger than some of the highway vendors have in their small stacks on the roadside. There are small split pieces also, but the larger ones can get up to five or six inches across the widest "split" area--which is perfect for my wood stove.
