They did the work a lot sooner than I expected and at first I thought it was great but after a week and looking at the quality I'm extremely disappointed. The concrete patio extension looks terrible and is uneven and crumbling around the edges. I don't think they actually put any rock at all into the mixture, just the mortar itself. I never saw them put in any reinforcing metal even though I was told he was going to do that. The path they put in is the right color but doesn't have enough rock to dust in the mix and turns into a mud pile when it rains and the metal edging they put in wasn't put in deep enough and is a total trip hazard. (I've almost fallen twice) The mulch suggestion for a dog area sounded great but with the wind here it is scatters really badly. It's pretty much all over the place now after a couple of storms. Even the rock ground cover is not done right. It should have been compacted but it wasn't even smoothed out, so there are holes and bare patches when anyone walks on it. I'm lucky to someone really handy who is going to help me at least level the concrete area a bit so I can eventually tile it and has shown me how to pound in the metal path sides deep enough that they're level with the concrete at both ends of the pathway. I'm going to have to rent a compactor drum myself and compact the gravel and buy rock to add to the path so I have a decent surface to walk on. Basically nothing they did was done well at all. I would never hire them again for anything and I won't have them back because I don't think I trust them.
Description of Work: I bought a new house and needed to have the back landscaped because when it rains it turns into a clay pit. I hired this company because the guy offered what I thought were excellent suggestions and he had good references here and on Yelp.

I was happy with them because Chris offered some suggestions to make the yard work better for me. But the options are not probably the best for my needs. The gravel and mulch areas are great and the drip system seem to be working just fine but the mulch may not be a good choice for my dogs since they kick it all over the place after doing their business. Since they put in the stone/dust pathway it's been raining off and on and it's still really wet and muddy - it looks okay but the dogs made divots that I tried to smooth over and ended up with a muddy mess. As it's rained the path has smoothed out somewhat so I'm going to reserve judgement on that. I was fairly happy with the concrete at first but as it's dried it has started to look pretty awful. The rest of the yard is great but don't have them do your concrete if they can't get a big mixer into your property. My lot is fenced off so they had to do it by hand in small batches so it doesn't look like the rest of the concrete on the patio and in fact looks really rough and unfinished. I'm hoping I can keep it and just tile over it in the spring but there's quite a difference in height from my original patio to the edge of the additional concrete so I may have to hack it out and have it redone.
Description of Work: I wanted my back yard completely landscaped because it's a mud pile when it rains. They offered to put in gravel, some mulch areas for the dogs and to expand my patio with concrete.
