Description of Work: I have ( soon to be had) a service agreement with this company. I called because my ac unit was putting out 80 degree air. 3:30 on a Friday so I expected to spend some money for after hours. I was told they could not get anyone to me until Monday morning, but I could call back over the weekends if I had issues. Kind of thought that was why I called in the first place. It feels like they are just trying to charge more for a weekend call. I'm at the end of my first tear of a 3 year service contract with them and they will only refund %30 of what I paid.

Description of Work: I have had Western Mechanical set up my MasterCool cooler every spring and shut it down in the fall, for years. I have a service contract with them. They have always been efficient, courteous and responsive. When I have had any problem with my cooler I have not had a problem getting them to come out within a day or 2. I highly recommend them.

+ -1 moreThey were on time. The technician was professional and thorough. Our furnace filter was pretty new and of higher quality than the one he supplied so we opted to keep ours and not use his. He did not adjust the price at all. I think he should have credited the price of the filter we didn't use.
Description of Work: Multi-point inspection of AC unit. Recharge fluid and cleaned it out.

Description of Work: Had them come out for an estimate to add a gas line to the kitchen. Never received an estimate. Called them multiple times. No response.

+ -1 moreThe service technician wore clean uniform and was very professional. The company dispatcher called the following Tuesday to see if the air conditioner was working ok and if the service technician needed to replace the breaker. I told her that my husband had replaced the breaker and it was working just fine.
Description of Work: On Friday 7/1/11 the air conditoner would not stay on as it kept throwing the breaker. I called several companies that evening but only Western Electric called me back. At that time they thought it was probably a bad compressor. They arrived Saturday morning and after inspecting and cleaning the air conditioner told me the compressor was fine. The problem was that the air conditoner needed a 60 amp breaker and the electrician who installed it 4 years ago (when the house was built) used a 50 amp breaker. After replacing the breaker we have not had any further problems with the air conditioner. They could have easily sold me a new compressor and I would not have known the difference. I thought the price was a little high, but considering it was a holiday weekend and they were here nearly 2 hours it probably was not out of line with what other companies would have charged. I would use them again and, in fact, took out an annual maintenance contract with them, which means their rates will be less even during nights and weekends.
