Vic's Tile Designs

Well into laying the tile it was discovered the cartons of tile that was delivered from Lowe's were not all the same size. Because we had not discovered this before starting the project, Vic had to make adjustments to individual tiles.

Vic came by the same day I called him and gave me an estimate after taking some measurements and interviewing me with questions about what I was looking for. I heard about him from a response to a post on Nextdoor, looking for recommendations of tile guys. In my case, I wanted to replace the carpet that the home builder installed in the master bathroom (i.e. you step out of the shower onto carpet). The layout of my master bathroom is such that there were some challenges to deal with: I have an open arch leading into the master bathroom, so I wanted to retain the master bedroom carpet up to the arch leading into the bathroom area. Off the bathroom were two doors, one for a small room housing the toilet and one for the master closet. Lots of odd angles to deal with. The room with the toilet was already tiled, and the master closet had carpet which I wanted to keep. Vic provided a reasonable estimate and his timeline fit my needs, so we agreed on the start date. He said it would take two days, and it would. I provided the materials, which I got from the local big box hardware store. His son-in-law performed all the labor, and did a great job. The first day he removed all the carpet and prepared everything for tile. He started laying tile towards the end of the day. On the second day, he showed up a bit late but he had a valid excuse so I can't knock him much for that. He spent the entire day finishing the last area of tile. He even came up with an awesome design for underneath the archway, to transition between carpet and tile. It was an intricately-shaped design that I really liked. Overall, I would highly recommend Vic and his team.

We just bought a home in Tijeras and need to do some remodeling or updating. The hardest part has been finding the right people for the job. When I called Vic he arranged to come out the next day,measured and gave me an immediate price estimate. Another installer took a week to come out and measure and we still have'nt heard back from them. I got a fair price from Vic, he was consistent and punctual,but most important he did a wonderful job. My floors look beautiful, Vic provided his expertise and knowledge and helped me choose a beautiful porcelain tile that was not too expensive and looks great! I recommend him to anyone needing a licensed,bonded contractor who is pleasant,fair, and knows his stuff.

For the two-day job, owner and helper arrived when scheduled and worked steadily to complete tiling in one day, grouting the second day. They were courteous and careful of surfaces, and they cleaned up scrupulously when the job was complete.
