It's nice hearing all these positive reviews. Unfortunately ours was not good. We used them back at the beginning of September to move us from Santa Fe to Rio Rancho. Everything at the beginning was great. They picked up and loaded all our boxes and furniture on time. They were two young men that showed up. We took to them fast and were laughing and poking fun the whole day. When we got to our new house they started unloading. As they were unloading I noticed that they broke the wheel off my craftsman tool box. The kid got his hand held and took a picture and filled out information. I signed it and they kept unpacking. Come to find out that it was for a item that was already broken and the company was not at fault. I wasn't told that therefore I didn't read the fine print. That was my fault however it was misleading. We bought the boys lunch and they finished up. A few days later as we were trying to unpack we noticed things were damaged. Turns out they broke our 75" TV. Damaged our dinning room table that was just refinished with multiple bad scratches and a major gouge on the surface. We reached out to the company to make a claim. We are the end of November and nobody calls us back or has settled our claim for us. Mind you we paid $1800 for their services but they did more in damage. The TV alone was $2200.00 and the refinish was about the same. We have been ghosted and they refuse to call us or work with us on our claim. I would not recommend using them for this major fact. They seem to be great if they don't break your stuff! Good luck getting a claim done. Me and the wifey had to go buy a new TV the day it was discovered it was broke adding to the stress and cost of moving!

The move itself was fine except that the crew chief elected to park heavy vehicles on the driveway. Now a previously untracked driveway has numerous deep cracks in it. When the crew was confronted they denied all responsibility. They also tried to shift the blame to me. I am very disappointed and would like this franchise to do the right thing. I have also lodged a complaint with corporate headquarters but don't expect much satisfaction.
Description of Work: I had my 4 bedroom house moved from Albuquerque to Placitas.

I was not at all pleased. I was charged for twice as many hours as they worked. Two expensive items were broken. I called several times and was told the manager would call me back, but he never did. Each time I called, I was told he was busy. I was lied to about long I had to report the broken items. They allowed the time to lapse, then told me it was too late to complain and manager would not be calling me.

The movers called about about two hours before the scheduled time to see if they could begin work early. We were packed and ready, so this was great news. When they arrived, the two movers said they thought the job had been significantly underestimated, and that was a bit disturbing. But they worked so quickly, efficiently, and carefully that the move ended up taking only about 15% more time than the estimate. I was very impressed by Manny and Jordan, who were friendly and easy to work with. They were extremely competent and professional, and very careful with our furniture and belongings. Nothing was broken, dinged, lost or damaged--that's a first in all the times we have moved. We would enthusiastically recommend Two Men and a Truck to anyone looking for good movers.
Description of Work: The office staff estimated the cost of the move based on my description of the number of rooms and the type of furniture. They called a couple of days before the move to confirm the date and time.

This is the first move we've ever done (and we've done six moves with various companies) that NOTHING was broken, scratched, dented, or otherwise miss-handled. The move took 45% less time than estimated, and our bill reflected that. We were pleased with the entire process of planning and executing the move. We would not hesitate to contact Two Men and A Truck should we move again.
Description of Work: Two Men and A Truck visited our home before the move, and prepared an estimate base on what we had to move. The movers showed up within 10 minutes of the appointment time, and loaded their truck quickly, yet taking the time to prepare all household items correctly.

Cheerful, knowledgeable, helpful lady staffed the phone when we called. We received electronic confirmation of the services and price and the specific date for the service. We had to adjust the dates when the flooring contractor needed to start work sooner than planned, and this change was handled quickly and cheerfully. The guys that came out for the actual move were here on time; worked quickly, carefully and cheerfully, and left the house and furniture in good shape. Will recommend them for any type of move here in Albuquerque.
Description of Work: Moved our furniture out of the living/dining and master bedrooms so that wood flooring could be installed. Then moved everything back when the flooring job was complete.

We paid them a $50 deposit just to schedule a move with them. No where in the paperwork does it say that it was non-refundable. The only thing the paperwork says is cancel before 48 hours. We called a couple of times to cancel since we were not closed on our new house yet, and we were well before the 48 hour time line. When I called asking for a refund on the deposit, I was told that was not policy and had to speak to a manager. The manager became VERY rude with me saying that a deposit means no refunds and hung up on me. I told him I was going to report it to Angie's list and Facebook and he said do what I want, he does not care.

They came early, but called to say they finished a prior job early and they coud start when I was ready. They were professional, friendly very efficient. The furniture was large and very heavy, everything was wrapped in blanket, not one wall or doorway was nicked or marked.. They worked hard and quickly.

Horrendous experience. In a nutshell, they destroyed priceless original artwork and refused to reimburse us. They overcharged us by more than twice their original estimate for our move and they made our move the most unpleasant and stressful customer service experience we've ever had. More to come...

We did perform this move 1 year ago. Unfortunately the customer did not inform the office staff when scheduling and also did not inform the movers on the move day that the item needed special care. The movers must take all the household items outside of the home in order to move them. As a result when moving the picture it was exposed to the sun. The picture inside the frame was ruined upon exposure to the sun. The frame and glass were not damaged. When the customer called to report the damage we informed the customer that we are not responsible or liable for the picture inside of a frame. The frame and glass were still intact and not damaged or scratched and if the picture inside the frame needed special care the customer is responsible for informing our staff that the item needed special care to ensure the picture is not exposed to the sun. Since they did not inform the office or movers that the item could not be exposed to the sun and it needed to have special care in order to be moved outside we are not be responsible for damages to an item caused by the sun. We do not cover damages due to an act of god. As to the cost of the move- we do everything we can to stay within the total estimated cost of a move. Since this move happened over a year ago, we cannot pull the information as we have converted to a new computer system and sent all of our job sheets from 2013 to storage. We would be happy to discuss any issues they have to see if there is anything more we can do to resolve the problem. But from our point of view we performed the move as efficiently as possible and did move all the items in the home. The customer did state that he was happy with the service at the time the move was performed and was happy that the movers completed the move in one day as requested.

They did a really good job, and they showed up on time. I am always a little leery of moving companies. I called them before the appointment date to make sure we were still on schedule, and we were. They did the work pretty quickly and they weren't even here for 4 hours, and they emptied 3 rooms of furniture. One was a water bed so that was a big deal. They came back 2 days later and did the same thing. They were really good. They didn't bang up any of my furniture. Movers are expensive because it wasn't just one guy, it was a crew. I have so much junk in my master bedroom closet that the shelf collapsed so I am going to have the shelves replaced, and I have to move everything out of there. When I move everything back in there, I would have to have them come again and switch my bedroom furniture. My front bedroom which is like an office with 2 desks in it, and the smallest bedroom is the one with the queen-sized bed in it so I want to switch them around. I am calling them sometime this year.
Description of Work: I put down new carpeting in November of 2012 so I had the furniture moved out of my house and into the garage for a couple of days by Two Men and A Truck, and then had to have them moved back in 2 days later.

This business is the biggest joke in Albuquerque, The movers were SO unprofessional with their cussing in every single sentence. Every single box that was clearly marked fragile was loaded on a hand truck either upside down or sideways. They damaged my entertainment center and a glass framed piece of art. When I called them to have a furniture repair guy come over- they kept forgetting to have him call me for 3.5 weeks. I literally called them about every other day and they kept pushing me off. I finally got the call from the repair guy when I left a message that I was about to make my Angie's List review. After the repair guy showed up, he sent them an invoice to send me a refund check. After not receiving a check for 3 weeks, I called them to see what was going on. Carol said that the invoice was at the bottom of their paperwork and will get right on it. After not receiving the check for another week, I called and asked them what address they sent it to and they sent it to an address that doesn't exist. They refused to reissue another check and it took 2 weeks for the post office to return it to them and then they suggested I just pick it up. This whole process almost took 3 months. Absolutely ridiculous.

We did perform the move and received the damage report in the office the next day. We immediately sent damage report to our repair vendor. Unfortunately we can not anticipate how long it will take for the repair vendor to contact the customer. Upon investigation when we found out about the delay in her repair appointment- we found out that our repair vendor had some health issues and was not able to reply to this customer as efficiently as we would like. We strive to provide our customers with the best possible service, and when anyone feels that it fails to meet expectations, it’s important for us to know. We’re sincerely apologize that this customer received service that prompted a complaint, and we regret any inconvenience or frustration that the experience has caused. To ensure that our staff conducts itself in a manner that reflects the high regard that we have for our customers we do everything we can to ensure our staff is trained and professional. We have reached out to [member name removed] again to confirm that she did receive the check for $35 to replace the small damaged item. Upon reaching out to her [member name removed] stated that there was nothing more we needed to do to rectify the situation since her furniture is repaired and she has received the check for compensation as promised. We have done all we can do remedy the situation. As such we have closed her file. If she feels there is anything more we can do we will be happy to consider it.

From our point of view, we were completely upfront with the estimate for packing and moving. [remove member name] claim that we overcharged and charged him incorrectly is false. We did estimate and charge correctly. Our hourly rate is based on the cubic weight of the items we are moving and how long it takes to move those items.[remove member name] misunderstood and thought that the original estimate included the added cost of an additional unload portion of his move. He also misunderstood the charge for overnight storage. We did disclose per email that the cost of overnight storage would be $100 per truck/ per night. Our estimates for long distance moves are based on the cubic weight and how long it will take to move that amount of weight. [remove member name]was aware that his new home might not be ready on his move day and did inquire by email what the additional cost might be. We did disclose the additional cost of overnight storage at $100 per night per truck and the additional cost of unloading on a separate day in case it might be necessary, but since he was not sure if the house would be ready we did not include it on the estimate. [remove member name] needed overnight storage for 3 nights because his new home was not ready on his move day. [remove member name]could not reschedule his move because he had to be out of his old home to allow the new home owners to move in. We were forced to move his belongings to our warehouse and store them for 3 nights -as such we had to unload 2 trucks into our warehouse, store the items for 3 nights perform the 2nd unload of his belongings in his new home. Since we did not originally calculate the additional cost of 3 nights of storage and an additional loading and unloading on the 3rd day on the estimate it was an additional cost not listed on the original estimate. [remove member name] did not want to pay for additional cost of 3 nights of overnight storage or the unload portion of his move. We did try to accommodate [remove member name]given the changing circumstances. We did not charge him for the time it took for our movers to unload his belonging into our warehouse or the time for reloading the items when he was ready for the delivery, we also gave him 2 additional movers to perform the unloading at his new home for free just to try to be accommodating , but unfortunately [remove member name] was not satisfied. We feel we went above and beyond to accommodate him given the last minute change of circumstances on his part by no fault of our company. The inconvenience of holding Mr. Stills belongings on our trucks for the 1st night until he was sure it was going to take 3 days for the house to be ready and in our warehouse for an additional 2 days cost our company a significant amount that we did not pass on the customer. It is certainly unfortunate that [remove member name]impression of our company has been marred by this misunderstanding, but from our companies point of view we did not overcharge him.

The moving team was excellent, but dealing with the management/adminsitration over a damaged piece was a huge disappointment. The moving team dropped a round wooden table, resulting in damage. The movers took possession of the table and took it back to their shop where they said someone would be in touch with me over what to do about the damage. After one month and numerous calls - more than 5- to the company and no response, they finally called my husband to inform him by voicemail that the table would be repaired. I find it highly unusual not to consult with the owner about a repair or to keep them informed of what the preferred course of action is (pay the claim v. repair). Without Two Men and a Truck ever contacting us, the person they had repair the table dropped it off at our home. Essentially, from the time the move was finished and the claim was filed, we had no contact with Two Men and a Truck until a repaired table showed up on our doorstep months later. It is too bad the back end management is so poor because overall the actual move scheduling was easy and the moving team was efficient and professional.
Description of Work: We used Two men and A Truck for an across town move. They did not do any packing of items, we only requested that they move the larger furniture pieces.

We welcome the feedback from this customer and will update our customer contact policy to accommodate the changes requested. In the future we will contact the customer ourselves with all updates as to a damage repairs rather than rely on our repair vendor to stay in touch with updates and delivery requests. Our movers are instructed to create a record of the damaged item with a written damage report and to ensure the damaged item is delivered to the proper repair vendor for evaluation and to prepare a proper estimate for repair. The movers did perform the move correctly, recorded the damage with a report, and delivered the damaged piece to the proper repair vendor for an estimate of repair. Once the repair vendor has reviewed the damage they send us a report with an estimate for the cost of repair. If the damage can be repaired we do perform the repair rather than replacement if possible. If the damaged piece can not be repaired we call the customer to inform them of the issue and are willing to discuss replacement or reimbursement. In this customers case the piece was easily repaired. Once the repair was complete they did receive a call to schedule delivery, but the call was made from our repair vendor- as he had custody of the furniture and was responsible for delivery of the repaired piece. We apologize for the delay in communication and will be sure this incident does not happen again. Thank you for the feedback and suggestions. We do encourage our customers to offer any feedback and we are willing to discuss any concerns they might have in the future.

They were having a bad day(truck breakdown, previous job taking longer than scheduled) but kept us informed. Then sent 5 guys on overtime instead of 2 guys, but only charged for 2. They were still in a great mood and were done in 45 minutes. They noticed from my husbands ID that he had just had a birthday and even sang happy birthday to him!

Estimator came, he seemed professional and sincere. Said he would be following up with price quote in a few days but he did not. Called the company the following week and spoke to someone else who said he would email me the estimate, which he did later that day. The documents he sent were difficult to make sense of, so I called company again. This time a third person explained the details of the estimate, and she said that it would take two men one afternoon and cost about $800. Since we had already had a few other estimates which came in well over $2,000 with two days to pack and move, and we had moved a year earlier from Santa Fe to Albuquerque for over $3,000; this price and time frame seemed ridiculous. She could not guarantee the price as a maximum price, but assured me their movers were excellent and would be able to get the job done that quickly. It was too good to be true and so we did not use them. Glad I was because our move ended up using 6 people to pack and move, over two VERY long days, and cost about $3,500. I can't imagine what would have happened with Two Men and a Truck holding our stuff for ransom for more money!

We did send two estimates, one for Packing (they requested an estimate for packing the kitchen and living room only)for a total estimated cost with the boxes and packing supplies for $ 430.31- this allowed for 2-3 hours of packing with 3 packers. The 2nd estimate was for moving- the moving estimate was estimated with 3 movers and 2 trucks for a total of 7-8 hours of moving time. The total cost of the move day $1,097.20- this estimate would allow for 1 day of moving 1 day of packing for a total estimated cost of $1,527.51. Our movers/packers are professionally trained, experienced, and efficient. We are confident that our moving estimate was accurate as to what was requested during the onsite estimate. We cannot account for the movers that they choose, it is unfortunate that the moving company they choose could not perform the moving/packing as efficiently as we would have. We do honor our commitments to our customers and offer estimates as accurately as possible.

Alan, a Two Men and a Truck Representative came out to our house and was very professional. He emailed the estimates to me that evening like he promised. My wife and I also discussed with Alan that we wanted his guys to pack our kitchen and book-shelves and to supply the kitchen packs and a few lamp boxes. Allen apparently did not communicate with his guys, because when they arrived to load our Penske truck and trailer, they had zero kitchen packs and lamp boxes. They were also confused when we discussed them packing our kitchen and book-shelves. We blew it off and had them start loading our Penske truck while my wife and sister packed the kitchen and book-shelves. They ended up calling out another guy for some additional help, so there was a total of 4 guys loading. I watched them load the first half of the Penske truck and was satisfied at the results. Feeling fairly comfortable with what I was seeing, I resumed packing up some odds and ends. The surprise came when we had the Penske truck and trailer unloaded. We hired a moving company in San Antonio, TX to unload. When the 3 guys started to unload the U-Haul trailer, we all noticed how sloppy the trailer was packed. Items were just more or less thrown inside without properly being wrapped with plastic, blankets, or packed in boxes (in which I supplied plenty). I took plenty of pictures to document. When we started to unload the Penske truck, the back half of the Penske truck was almost as bad as the trailer. The kicker was Two Men and a Truck installed the HE washer machine bucket stabilizer bolts hand tight and the bucket ended up offset. I was able to reset the bucket and it seems to be OK. I called Alan the day of the unload to explain what I had uncovered and was told to email him the details and some pictures in which I did. Will be anxiously waiting for a response and to find out their level of professionalism in handling this matter. Will keep you posted on what happens.

Terrible. All they did was complain about having another job after mine (they came at 3:30). Nothing got wrapped. Furniture was damaged. Wouldn't respond about the damaged furniture until I got Angie's List involved. Then had a furniture refinisher come out. Would never use them again.

Awesome service from beginning to end. Since I couldn't schedule on a weekday due to being booked up already, they scheduled on a Saturday & still gave me the weekday rate. I was very appreciative of their willingness to work with the customer. Eric & George W. were friendly, professional & had positive attitudes. Everything was broken down, protected with plastic wrap & reassembled as requested without any damage. I highly recommend & will continue to use in the future.

I have used this same company several times before and everything always went smoothly. There was an issue with arriving within the two (2) hour slot for pick-up. Waited at the pick-up site for two hours and then had to wait another hour before the truck arrived. But the job was completed by TJ and Doug who were very friendly, polite and professional. I will continue to use them again in the future.
