Their prices are really fair and they are very punctual. They offer package deals which is nice if you want to sign up for their service for both spring and fall instead of finding another person for each season. It is also less expensive when you do it this way. When you call them a real person answers the phone and the arrive when they say they will. They finished the project quickly and accurately. I have already signed up with them for another year.

This company responds to calls immediately, and sends a workman out quickly. Their policy for non-emergencies is to give a time frame within the day of the service, then have the workman call prior to coming to the house. The plumber arrived mid-day, and fixed the garbage disposal first. The problem was a small screw that had fallen in and jammed it. He then did the autumn checkup on the furnace, and checkout the a/c too. Very polite, clean and efficient.

It went very well in that TLC arrived within an hour and had the repair completed within a couple of hours. They then carefully filled in the hole and left the yard looking pretty good. The two workmen were clean and professional and did a good job. My only complaint is that I was not offered an estimate beforehand and the billed price initially seemed pretty steep for a simple job like this. Also, I wonder why they needed to send two guys to do the job--it could have been easily handled by one. UPDATE: They called me and we discussed the bill. They lowered the price to something more reasonable. They were very pleasant about it, and I appreciated their concern.

Had a main drain back up and toilet overflow...on a Sunday of course. Called at noon. Plumber called back by 2:30. He originally said there were three people ahead of me and he'd be there around 5:00pm. When he found out that he was only a few block away, he said he'd come to my place next. So he was here within 5 minutes and had the drain cleaned out and the problem fixed within 20. Great service...fast...professional...and the right price!! I will definitely use them again.

Overall - very well. Price was fair, stuck to estimate, work was completed when they said it would be. There were a few problems with the work, but as soon as I called, someone came out and did the repair. This install required 2 follow up visits, but the repairs were completed within 24 hours of my phone call. I would recommend this company highly, but I would advise the buyer to check the work carefully immediately upon completion.

We provided the prior review of TLC (dated 07/31/09). TLC subsequently contacted us and asked to reschedule. This time the company, and technician Len Aragon, were everything we expected -- and more -- and provided the level of service we've generally come to expect of TLC. As it was a somewhat nebulous project (we needed some service work done, but also wanted some information to help us determine whether and when to replace a central A/C system), we were particularly pleased that Len explained, as he worked on the system, the sorts of symptoms which might indicate whether it would be repairable on require replacing. Everything was handled very professionally and thoroughly, and I credit TLC for reaching out and asking for the opportunity to keep a repeat customer.

I could not have been more satisfied. Water was coming up out of the meter manhole. After I found out that it was on the home side, not the city side, I called TLC. They said it would take about an hour to be there. Actually they arrived within 20 minutes. They gave an estimate of about $350. The actual cost came to about $300. The fellow knew his job, explained what he was doing and was very helpful.

They arrived quickly (within 24 hrs.) and did a thorough job of assessing our furnace needs. However I was unfamiliar with the brand of furnace they wanted to install (seemed cheap) and later saw that it had some equivocal reviews on the net. Also we had some concerns re: small amounts of asbestos, and my husband felt that their competitor addressed that issue more thoroughly.

Overall, the service they performed was excellent, but their response time left something to be desired. When I initially called to get an estimate, service on the phone was very swift and professional. They got a rep out to our house very quickly to do the estimate, and they answered all of my questions patiently. If I had decided to along with the standard brand/model of toilet that they install (American Standard), I 'm sure we'd have been finished with the entire process in 2-3 days. However, I instead decided to check around on the internet for toilet reviews first, and decided on a different make/model of toilet (Toto). When I called the office to ask for a new price quote for the Totos, it took over a week for the rep to get me a new quote, and then only after I'd called their office at least one or two more times. To be fair, the rep did call back once during that week, but it was only to say that he got the new request and would get back to me. I understand that this took place when the weather was just starting to warm up and they were innundated with requests for heater shutdowns/cooler startups, but it seems to me that a clerical worker could have done the necessary research for a price quote for a simple product change, instead of having to wait for the installer to do it. Finally, new price quote in hand, I called to schedule the installation. Unfortunately, on the appointment day, I got a call from the installer saying that when he got to the distributor, the distributor didn't have any tanks that matched the toilet (bowl) that I wanted. This was not the installer's fault because the distributor had told the installer that they were available, but it certainly was very annoying to have to take yet another delay. Finally, almost a week later, the toilets were finally installed. The installer was very apologetic about the extensive delays, and made sure to go to the distributor's warehouse the day beforehand to pick up the toilets, to ensure that we didn't run into any more problems the next morning. The installation itself was professional and tidy. I did make a request to have the gap between the toilet and the tile floor caulked, since it didn't look (to me) like that the installer was going to do that, but he was very agreeable about doing so, and did a nice clean job of it. We've been very happy with the new toilets. The installation is sound, and the toilets are stable and don't rock.

They only bid the job. No work done.

We had TLC out on two recent occasions, once for some plumbing work (replace a defective faucet, replace a leaky shut-off valve, a couple small odds & ends) and once for drain cleaning. We were very pleased with all of the work. Both the plumber and the drain tech were polite and knowledgeable and worked efficiently. Both offered helpful pointers. For example, the plumber traced a water hammer issue to the valving used for the sprinklers, and noted that "you could have us install new valves, and we'd be happy to do it, but a company that specializes in sprinkler systems would be cheaper."

An estimate was written the same day I called. Everything was explained in detail. TLC arrived on time for our appointment and did an excellent job of installing a hot water heater and removing our old one. They cleaned up the entire work area and even fixed an unrelated loose pipe for no extra charge. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone.

They had to get into the sewer line by digging up part of my newly landscaped yard. They did an excellent job fixing the line. They also put the rocks back into my yard. They cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. They were professional and went beyond what other companies have done in the past.

The folks at TLC RETURNED my call quickly, understood when I said that I needed a different kind of plumber-deeply experienced plumber, preferably with my brand of boiler and hot water heater. They noted that Carl was one of their best. When he could not come later that day as he was tied up on another urgent need for hot water, he CALLED and said that he would be there the next day. Imagine my surprise. He did come the next day, found the problem, defined the repair and called the order in. Unfortunately, the part was not immediately available. Carl fixed the system enough so that a hot shower could be had. RELIEF! And, when the part came in, he installed it correctly, walked all the way through the troubleshooting of it so that the technical details could be grasped. THANK YOU!

The equipment they provided did not stand up, older versions of hardware that leaked and were not operable after a time, and had to be replaced 2 years later by another contractor.

I called them and they told me they could have somebody in my house within an hour. I agreed and they showed up at my house about 40 minutes later. The person that did the work was very professional and very patient with us. He answered all of our questions and gave us an estimate of how long it would take him to do the work. We told him we had an appointment and needed to be out of the house in one and a half hours. He said he would have it ready in time. He did. He left everything clean and we have had no problems with his work.

Excellent service and communication throughout 4 and a half day project. All our best expectations were met. We did get one other somewhat lower estimate but that company did not accurately identify where the floor needed to be jackhammered and they would have jackhammered five foot to side of where the drain pipes actually were and planned to jackhammer halfway across the house even in places where drain lines were in excellent shape.

I called on a Thursday morning at 1030 am. They had a plumber at my house by 1100am. He was polite well mannered and professional. The project started with the recirculating system. The entire process was explained to me in full detail prior to starting the project. Upon completion I was walked through the entire process to include a instructional period on the proper operation of the device. He then moved on to the second project of fixing the outdoor faucet. Again he explained the job in detail and upon completion; again he explained the steps he had taken to correct issue. He removed all trash and debris created from the work, and was very well mannered. I will defiantly use there services again.

We originally thought that the slow drainage and back-ups in the sewer line just required a cleanout. They came out the same day we called and immediately diagnosed a broken line and pin-pointed the location - unfortunately, in the middle of my living room. They had a crew out first thing the following morning to begin jack hammering up the floor. The concrete slab at the point of the break ended up being 16 inches (!!!) thick at the point they were digging instead of the usual 3-4 inches (don't ask). When they discovered this, they called for reinforcements to help dig it out. When they finally broke through and dug out the broken line, they were concerned that there would not be enough pitch on the line to ensure proper drainage, so they made another hole in the floor about 10 ft away and dug it all out to get the proper angles. Originally, this was to be finished in one day, but the thickness of the concrete caused it to go into a second day. Because we have a blind dog who shares our living room, before they left for the day they covered the holes in the floor with plywood, rolled the carpet into place and carried all of the dirt that they had excavated out of the house and piled in the side yard. The dirt had to be carried out one bucket at a time down the front steps. Of course, the following morning after the repair was completed, all of that dirt had to be carried back into the house one bucket at a time. During the whole operation, they were friendly and helpful and cheerful. They did an excellent job and took care that our dogs would be safe.

Went fine, other than the new parts I had on hand could not be used, and he had to pick up ones that would, which added to the expense.

They were very prompt. My house had been struck by lighting, so it burned my electronic panel inside my furnace. They identified my problem quickly and were able to repair it.
