They came in with a jackhammer but they did a wonderful job. They were really careful and they provide everything; they had someone patch the wall up and put the carpeting back down. The price was good.

Technician diagnosed pump failure immediately. Said well was inadequate and pump improperly installed. Recommended either re-digging or total well replacement. Estimated work without well replacement at 5-6, 000$. Pump operated satisfactorily, but noisily. Charged $600 for cleaning out well and technician's time. Found out from pump supplier that pump was properly installed Neighbor's grinder pump failed. A-1 Sewer and Drain only charged $2,700 for well cleaning and pump replacement. Am using A-1 as pump subsequently failed.

I was house-sitting for a friend who had to work that day. She had made an appointment for the service, and was told that TLC would arrive between 1 and 3 PM, and that they would call my cell phone when they were on the way. I arrived at the house at 1 PM, and waited until 3 with no word from anyone. I called TLC at 3 PM, and the receptionist informed me that I was still on the list, but that they had a lot of calls for plumbing and heating, and were running late. She gave me no estimate of arrival time. I let my friend know what was happening, and she called the company and was given the same run-around by the receptionist, who was curt and impatient with her. She called back and asked to speak with the Service Manager, and left a message for him. He called her back promptly at 3:15 PM, said he would "make it right", and that he would send someone out as soon as possible. I got a call at 4:15 PM from the plumber, who said he was on the way. He finally arrived at 4:52 PM, and did not finish the work until 7:30 PM. My friend had to cancel her evening plans to stay home with the plumber. The quality of work performed was good, and the plumber behaved professionally and did the job efficiently. If the company had given us an estimate of when the job would be done, or offered to reschedule, there would have been no problem. Their lack of consideration for my time and my friend's, and failure to notify us of their time delay caused a large amount of frustration for both me and my friend. The company should have been proactive and offered to reschedule or offer a revised arrival time, and given us a choice. Based on recommendations from others, my friend says she would give TLC one more chance to service her home.

They were quick when they were here, they were responsive when we called and we got an appointment right away. They did really good work while they were here. They seemed to know what they were doing.

The dry wall had already been removed and two of the three windows installed. I was in a hurry to complete the job and have my kitchen put back together. They were available to do the work right away. They called first and showed up on time. The service man was very nice and explained everything that he was doing during the process. He even replaced all the dry wall and cleaned up as if he was never there. I am very pleased with how fast and nice the work turned out.

Len is his name and he is a licensed electrician. They have multiple employees but he is very good. Now when we use them for plumbing or heating, we specifically ask for him because he is competent, knowledgeable and explains things. We've used him before.

It didn't work. They came back out 10 days later, the guy that came out said that the first people did it wrong. I called them back three days later, and they were very rude and testy with me. They said that if it was something different, they would have to charge for that. They came back out and said that it was the thermostat that was causing the problem. They put the thermostat in the hallway, which doesn't accurately measure the temperature of the house. I paid $300 for what should only cost about $90.

It went very well. We have a tricky one and they got the job done. I signed up for a contract that will take care of both fall and spring for $180.00

Everything went fine. The technician showed up on time, had all of the necessary equipment on the truck, did the repair, and cleaned up. He was very professional and competent. And unlike the last time with TLC, I did not have to pay for two techs and wait for them to get parts, so the cost was more in line with what I was expecting.

Last summer I had an emergency. The line to my lawn irrigation had gotten separated and was running full time. I was out of town in Sacramento, and our interaction happened remotely. They did a good job. They were calling me while they were doing the job, and we discussed where the leak was and where the shut off was. The water bill came to $400, so I was real happy that they came and did the job. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

Our garbage disposal failed (leaking). We discovered it by accident early on Sept 15. Water everywhere under the sink! I contacted TLC plumbing at about 8:00 a.m. Tom, the serviceman, arrived by 9:00 a.m., and by 10:00 he had installed a new disposal for us. I was impressed with his promptness, and professionalism. I will add that this past spring, we discovered a serious leak from our in-ground water softener intake pipe. It was late in the afternoon. I contacted TLC. Jason was at our home in less than one-hour, and repaired the leak, even staying after dark to finish the job. I was impressed with TLC's service. That's why I called them back for the garbage disposal issue. I was not disappointed.

They came out when they said they would when I called them. He once had to fix the connector of my hot water recirculation system where it connects to my cold water line. He did that work well. The second time when he came he didn?t have a toilet flapper on his truck for some reason. It was getting to be rush hour. It took him well over an hour to get that because he took the freeway when he could?ve done it under 15 minutes by taking another route. He was unwilling to take my suggestion. He charged me for all that time and it turned out to be an extraordinary trip for just a flapper. They seemed to be very poor. I felt it was grossly unfair. Totally it was two hours of work, one of which was spent driving back and forth. Most of them charge $80 or $90 an hour. I thought that was expensive for just fixing a flapper. I decided not to use them and went with another company. They are professional and a fine company. They are highly skilled and very, very good. However, they are highly priced. I know that they are really able, and I even have friends who recommend them highly and really like them a lot. They are a real supporter of community activities in town. I appreciate that so much about them. They support our baseball and college athletic teams. I am sure they have a fund for all kinds of charitable work. They are established in our community. They bought out the company that does my water conditioner.

I thought they were professional. They got the job done and walked me through my options for the various heating units I had available and the different prices. They talked to me about the rebates related to them and which ones had rebates and which ones didn?t. Overall, I was satisfied with the work they did. They voluntarily had the city come out to inspect their work and they said they would come back and repair any issues the city found related to it for free. They were good on their word. The inspector didn't like the way the water heater sat on the floor so they came back out and built a stand to make the inspector happy. They charged me for materials but not labor which I thought was more than far. I was very happy with that!

DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON They bring in unskilled, teenagers for the seasonal turnovers. They do not do a good job. They do not offer any new technologies, such as small on demand water heaters.

I wish we'd called them first. We had a great plumber who was respectful and good at his job. Then we had the guy with the video camera who showed us that the pipe is actually tilted the wrong direction slightly, which is a problem when something wrong goes down the pipe. Thngs were backing up and leaking through the floor. It's not perfect now, because we need to remodel our bathrooms and we think the 30-something year old shower is leaking from rusty pipes. But other than that, all is well.

They are very good. They are expensive but are prompt and efficient. If you bargain then it?s like looking for trouble. It was worth paying them that money. They were very knowledgeable people. I have used them again and I would use their services in the future too.

I mentioned that this work was done to prepare my father's house for sale. Dad had mild dementia at the time and was there during both of Ralph's visits. Ralph treated Dad with patience and respect, and his kindness meant a lot to both of us.

They came. They fixed it. They left.

I had a minor problem and they took care of it for me. The service was free. They called me and they understood that I was unhappy with their service they had once provided. Once when they came out to do a plumbing job, it so happened that they didn?t have the parts. The plumber went back to the office to get it and I was charged for the time he was gone. So, they offered me a free service. They did the work within a week. They were punctual. I have a water filter system and it was loose. The man, who installed it, never came around. My family tried to do the work and they didn?t know how to go about it. So, I called this company and they fixed it for me. I don?t have any complaints with them. They do very good work, even though they are a little expensive. I will use them again in the future.

The man they sent was professional, and prompt. I would choose to use their services for future plumbing needs.

Done in about 40 minutes. I was charged the minimum 1 hour rate. Well done, cleaned up afterwards.

The day before the service, a TLC employee (Bodie?) came out. He found the leak and said that he had a pretty good idea of the problem, though he didn't dig up the leak. Apparently this issue is common. He stated that the repair would cost $600-$800 and he would come back the next day to make the repair. The next day, he was busy at another job, so another tech (Leland) came out. He dug up the line and reviewed the issues with me. The repair was made and work seemed to be well done. Unfortunately, when the tech calculated the bill, it came to $1,200. Significantly more than I was quoted the day before ($600-$800). This did not include repairing the sidewalk that was cut during the repair, which would have added another $600. When I told him that this was significantly more than what I was told the day before, the tech stated that the other tech did not include all of the work and materials that were needed. When I told him that we had discussed the exact same work and materials he had nothing to say. Though the work was good and both techs were hard working. This was not a pleasant experience and felt like a "bait and switch" ploy.

After waiting a week a service technician Larry (Lorenzo Garcia) came out to investigate the problem with a refrigerated air conditioner. Larry told my tenant that there was not enough power to run the unit and also told him that the electrical wires outside were Illegal. An electrician came out and said there was plenty of power, the problem was with the power lines and the wiring we had was NOT illegal. This cost me $100. The power company showed up promptly and fixed the transformer. I decided to give TLC another chance so I called the manager and requested a reliable technician. I spoke with Terry James who told me to call her back after the power company had finished. I called several times; each time I was told Terry was in her office but no one would get up and check, they kept transferring me to her phone. Our tenant waited at home all afternoon for someone to show up. The following morning Terry called and explained that she had an appointment and had to leave early the previous afternoon. That's is when I decided to sign up at Angie's list and look for a reputable company.

Quick response to initial phone call. First available appointment about a week after calling. Tech arrived on time, worked quickly. Float was not adjusted correctly however, and so I had to go on the roof a few days later and adjust it because it had dried out. Pretty expensive for swamp cooler start up, I usually do it myself, but there was a break in the line and the connections were too tight for me to fix it myself.

The technician quickly located a leaky value in our radiant heating system. He replaced the value and had our system operating at peak efficiency.
