Our radiant heat system boiler was making strange whistling noises in the middle of the night. I called the company that we had been using to service the system for the last 4 years and their recommendation was to replace the boiler as it was 15 years old. Being an expensive proposition I wanted to get a second estimate/opinion. Based on Angies List and other recommendations I called TLC. When Nick from TLC arrived and I told him what the boiler was doing he almost immediately diagnosed the problem as a link of flex line on the gas line that was not the proper size. He demonstrated to me how it was creating the whistling noise. He also recommended replacing the Expansion Tank as it was full of water and no longer functional. I discussed with him the need to replace the boiler and he indicated that the boiler was in good shape and really only in the mid life of its range. He also said that the internal on/off boiler settings were not correct. The settings were causing the boiler to cycle on and off in short durations which was h****** the system. He corrected the settings, replaced the flex line and the expansion tank. Nick was very knowledgeable on radiant heat systems and was especially adept at explaining the issues without getting overly technical. TLC will now be getting my future plumbing business.

Provider never responded to repeated phone calls. Provider responded by saying I live in New York. I live in Santa Fe, NM. So there is still no excuse for not returning my phone calls.

The plumber who performed the job was extremely friendly and professional. Another company charged us more to find the leak than TLC charged us to fix it! Very satisfied with TLC and would definitely use them again.

We've used them for years and they're excellent. It took them three hours. They had to go up on the roof. They just persisted and persisted until they cleared it up. After about four days, we seemed to have a problem with them same toilet being sluggish. They came back and replaced something without charge. They responded. They were efficient and effective. I think the price was average.

Had a clog in the kitchen sink that I couldn't clear myself, on a weekend. Called TLC on a Sunday at 8am and got an immediate price estimate over the phone, and was told that it would be significantly cheaper if I could wait until Monday. Decided I couldn't wait, and asked for an appointment around 2pm. They gave me a heads up that the timing could be delayed if emergencies occurred, and that they would call when they were on their way. Sure enough, I got a call at 1:58pm asking if this was a good time. Chantry arrived 10 minutes later, and had the work complete in about 15 minutes. While he worked, he explained why my attempts were unsuccessful (non-professional grade equipment), and how I could prevent clogs in the future. He was exceptionally professional, polite, and tidy in his work. He even gave me a 90-day warranty on the work (although I'm not sure how applicable that is to this situation!) The process was quite painless, aside from the weekend pricing (but 10% Angie's List discount helped!). However, the pricing appears to be comparable to other top-rated companies, so it's not a direct complaint for TLC. Just wish my emergencies happened on a weekday! We have used TLC for other work in the past, and will certainly use them again.

They were running late, so I waited a very long time; however, they were very professional and friendly. Everything was fixed to my satisfaction. Offered advice on other work to be done in the future, which was appreciated.

Service tech showed up on time and seemed very knowledgable. He said he would get back to me in about 4 days with the estimate. I called the office after 9 days and asked about the work. I was told I would get an estimate the next day. There was no further follow up or email as to the status of the estimate. I did choose another company who was prompt and responsive to my inquiries.

A small glitch up front when the crew dispatched for the job was not experienced with this type of install. After reschedule, everything went as planned. They installed the oven and returned later for the range hood and did a great job including some cabinet modification that looked great. Thanks TLC!

It went great! Technician arrived on time, and was done before I knew it! The only problem I encountered is that I first attempted to e-mail TLC, but no one ever replied.

They were on time, but the first gentleman that came out seemed like he was intoxicated and smelled of alcohol and he said that he wouldn't be able to find the leak behind my toilet that was in my wall. He recommended a leak detection company and to call them back once the leak was detected. I called them back after the leak was detected and scheduled with the same repairman from TLC. He never showed up for the appointment. I called and told them I was going to be leaving town and that I needed someone else. They ended up sending a different gentleman out and he stated that the first repairman should have found the leak. The other gentleman that came out was very apologetic and professional and said that I did not need a leak detection company. I would give the first repairman an "F" for quality of service in the grading portion of this review. The second repairman would get an "A" for quality of service.

It was a late afternoon appointment squeezed in just before closing-- I was REALLY impressed that they were willing to come out to do the service checkup for us late in the day. He was kind courteous and efficient and was thoughtful enough to go over everything he did with the furnace once he completed checking it out...he showed me what was done. I was very pleased with Luke's work and TLC willingness to work us in their schedule today, at the last minute.

Excellent!! Punctual, efficient and considerate . Because we had to go out of town there was no time to schedule for a later date with our "regular" contractor and this company scheduled us at our convenience for immediate visit. I appreciated that flexibility and immediate service so felt the checkup, though a bit higher was worth it for us. They did honor a slight discount for service call which reduced the overall by $10. The price is $100 just to come out and do all that. I think its $75 for an hour and then it's extra if they have to use any parts. They are really professional and very knowledgeable. I trust them. I know a lot of people that use them. My husband coaches a senior Olympics women's basketball team. The women have gone out and gotten TLC to sponsor them to go to different tournaments. All the ladies use them. These ladies are in their 80's and 90's. They are not going to use them unless they are good. So we use them. They are a little expensive. I probably could find somebody cheaper to do the work, but they do a really good job. They support us, so we support them. The pricing is the only thing that brings them down because they are expensive. But I think that's because they have really well trained people. I could probably get a handyman to come over and do it for $50. But my husband can't climb on the roof anymore because he has a disability now. So we have to hire somebody. I would rather pay the extra money and have somebody that's really well educated about what they are doing. We are using them because they help out the basketball team. But if they had come out and they wouldn’t have been any good, I probably wouldn’t have called them again.

They've been good to me. I had some rental houses, they get out there right away. They are expensive but they get the job done. They got it done quickly in one day. I was happy with it. They are good. I like their speed; they get it over and get it done.

They are top-notch. As a matter of fact, I called them again and they come do my winter check. One thing I like about them is they at least when I call them, they didn't make appointments for like in the future. You call them on the day you need them and they respond. From what I got, they responded within the 24-hour period when we called. They're a bit expensive, but from what I gather, the cost for the servicing is pretty much average for around here because I checked with a couple other companies and they charged pretty much the same thing.

The estimator showed up on time and was very friendly during the in-home walk through for the estimate. He seemed to have good ideas on different options and said that he would email an estimate to us later that day (Friday, September 5) or the next Monday, September 8. We did not receive an email, so I called the company on Wednesday, September 10. The receptionist spoke with the estimator who said he had been waiting on some information, but would send us the estimate the next day. We still have not heard anything from the estimator as of today, September 21. With no phone call or email, we will not use this company.

Completely replaced all old poly butylene starting from the meter. The job took longer than anticipated because off several unforeseen issues. Antonio and his hard working crew resolved the problems in a timely manner.The crew was very professional and cleaned up when they left. I was only without water for two nights. I will call TLC again when I need plumping work.
