They were very good at informing us when they would be coming and worked throughout the day. When their initial installer could not come they immediately put someone else in his place. Every time I asked questions on how things worked or needed to be maintained, they were pleasant and eager to share their knowledge. They came back after our new roof was installed to complete installation for the second story air conditioner. They were professional, friendly and informative. We would highly recommend them and would use them again.

Thompson is one of those older businesses that used to be known for its good service and technical knowhow. Today it seems that they do not have the same craftsmen or are more interested in installs of new homes. Very poor experience. At first, the upstairs installer tried to install an ill fitting flash onto a severely rusted old flash. A roofer (who just happened to be there) advised me of what was going on...I stopped the install until a properly fitting flash was fabricated. I had to have the roofer return and install the "new" flash and properly seal the unit. The swamp cooler unit was scheduled to be installed on Friday; they came on Thursday. The upstairs unit when water turned on, was so loud, I insisted that they fix the noise (the water line was vibrating against a metal piece). The downstairs unit was so big that it did not fit onto the existing concrete slab. A make shift slab using bricks was attempted. Next time I will use TLC plumbing and pay the extra money.

It was their price that I liked and that is why I used them. I would also use them in future if needed.

I called them late afternoon 11/19/09 and told them my problem. They asked if I had heat. Isaid I could make it work till morning.They said they would have someone here before noon. The service man arrived at 8:30am.I explained the problem.he said it was either the fan switch or the thermostat.He thought it would be the switch but would check both.He replaced the fan switch,recyceled the heating cycle several times.He said for the age of the furnace, it was still in good shape.He did a good job and wea quick and the service was prompt.

Even though we had bids from TLC and an independant contractor (all for less money), I was convinced that the Rheem brand was the best. Further, the salesman DID show interest in my business with follow-up calls etc. and TLC did not. The installers did a decent job, but I would have preferred that they sweep up their mess...and I had to call them back the same morning because some of the insulation was burning!

An appointment for an estimate was made for just a few days after I called. The estimator arrived promptly at the stated time. He was very professional and called me back promptly with an estimate. I was very pleased with the way the company treated me and made an appointment for installation. Jeff arrived on time and the installation was completed perfectly. Jeff was courteous and great to work with. I am very pleased.

They did a fantastic job and came out fast. They were very professional. They are very well known and respected here and I did not feel they over charged me.

The person doing the estimate seemed very knowledgable and answered all of my questions. The installation of the Master Cool unit and enlarging the return air vent were all done in less than one day. They were very punctual and professional. Overall we are very pleased - the new Master Cool unit works quite well and enlarging the return air vent downstairs has made a big difference in the efficiency of the refrigerated air unit.

They were prompt, worked efficiently, had great clean up, and I would recommend them to others.

It was a very cold weekend and, while we managed, we were without heat for all of Saturday and Sunday. I was surprised and delighted with Thompson's quick response on Sunday (although there was an "overtime cost" which I can understand)and I was particularly pleased with their very quick action on Monday, replacing the entire return air duct by 2 PM - the heat felt great.

The following day I noticed water pooling in the garage and a pipe that had a slow drip. It looked like the water connection to the cooler so, I called Thompson back to check it out. They were very courteous and came right out and said everything looked fine but, I needed to call a plumber because I needed a new valve on the water line. I guess I assumed (wrongly) that a company that serviced the cooler would also be able to fix the connection in the water line. I am disappointed that I now have to find a plumber to fix this problem. So, in the future I will not use Thompson for this service but, will use a company which also offers plumbing services. Maybe I am judging them unfairly; they performed the service that they were called to do. But, for everyone out there, don't assume that a heating and air conditioning company will deal with a simple plumbing issue.

I've used this company for about 4 years. He had 1 driver who wanted to charge us quite a bit for transportation. Called the office, boss got in and changed it. I've had great service with them.

I have only lived in this house since June and bought it from a "difficult" seller who was not very truthful. As a result I didn't know if there were really "new" pads on the cooler (they were). The only problem was that the person who serviced the cooler did not shut the damper in the furnace so I lost a lot of cool air over this very hot summer. But Thompson's service man explained everything to me and assured me that both the cooler and furnace were in good condition. We discussed converting to air conditioning; he didn't push it at all and was very honest about the cost. I will call them next spring to reverse the process.

Jeff did an outstanding job and was extremely pleasant. The whole process was very easy and hassle free.

THEY ARE ALWAYS VERY RECEPTIVE TO MY QUESTIONS. THEY DID A VERY NICE JOB, AND THEY DIDN'T LEAVE A MESS LIKE SOME COMPANIES DO. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PUNCTUAL.
