The Maids of Albuquerque

The Maids company has been cleaning my house every other week for 7 years. I have been quite satisfied with their work. The team leaders go out of their way to make sure things are done the way I want them and all the workers seem eager to please. There is a big turnover in workers but the team leaders work hard to make sure the quality of work does not suffer. I should note that I have the advantage of being home while they are cleaning my house so I can make any suggestions for improvement on the spot.

They have been punctual and dependable, willing to work with me on scheduling. Usually thouough in cleaning, but way too much breakage.

I was desperate to get my house cleaned and so I was able to schedule an appointment the same day I called. I was told over the phone it would cost 140 for the first hour and that usually homes under a certain square footage can get done in under an hour and a half. I do not have a large home and it was BS that it took close to 2 hours for 4 girls to get the job done. The first hour, they moved slowly, after that they really busted a**. The girls showed up and I did not get a 30 minute warning call. They also start the clock as soon as they pull into the driveway, instead of when they start cleaning. The girl vacuuming moved slowly, and did a lousy job in the bedrooms floors. I have dogs and could still see the dog hair in different areas. The team leader even said "Pick it up bc I need help with the kitchen." Two girls cleaned the smaller bathroom together instead of one knocking out the other one, and they chatted the whole time. It took one girl 45 minutes to clean my microwave and stove top. Im sorry, but that is just ridiculous. They did not clean all of the outer cabinets of the kitchen, in fact they missed the entire lower levels. They left some dark black dirt or something on the rug in my living room. I didn't ask them to come back and clean it up bc I was afraid they would charge me more time so I just vacuumed it up myself. The head leader came to me at 45 minutes after starting the job informing me that it will take closer to two hours to get the jobs done. After almost two hours later they finished and she said it was 350 something dollars!?!?!? I said that was NOT what was quoted to me on the phone, and she was dead convinced one hour and 40 minutes equalled a total 140 minutes... I said to her one hour was sixty minutes, not 100.... I had to get a phone call from their manager to get it straightened out... It almost sounded like the girl claimed to have arrived earlier than they did... It just felt fishy in my opinion, and not honest at all! Overall, I just feel like spending $240 was a huge mistake! I still regret the amount for the service I received. I do not plan on requesting their services, nor would I recommend them... Im still pretty regretful, but they got paid.

This team cleaned in areas that had never been cleaned before. My husband was very impressed and he is SUPER picky. They were nice, professional and responsive. I highly recommend them. They are not cheap, but worth what they charge. We have a large house 3700 sqft and two pets, mainly concrete and wood floors, carpet in the bedrooms.

For most of the past 19 years, The Maids have been cleaning my house on a weekly basis. They are not cheap, but they do more than most. Their backpack vacuums allow them to clean lots of places. I rarely find cobwebs in the ceilings. My kitchen cabinets do not get a greasy build-up. My baseboards do not have a dust build-up. I like the fact that different teams clean, rather than the some one. As we all know, it's easy to overlook something to be dusted, even in our own home. With multiple dusters, different things get dusted every week. I could get annoyed by crooked pictures, but at least they dust them. When one is crooked, I fix it and move on. I have never had a problem with theft. I give them my key and never worry about when they show up. I work 8-5, and it's clean when I get home. The bed has been stripped and the clean sheets I lay out have been put on the beds. Old linens are in the laundry room. It's great. I am not happy with the current office help. After 30 years in the work place, I have a saying "S/he too will pass" that got me through several lousy bosses. And you know, they do move on. I counting on that happening here. There have been many good, customer-focused office managers in the past.

The cleaning is generally good, especially my floors. However, since they have started cleaning my home, they have broken several things including a beloved ceramic pot, the plexiglass plate over my stove, the cord to the cable box (literally ripped out of one of the TVs), and a picture frame. In addition, one of the chandeliers fell on one worker (not completely sure what she was doing short of swinging from the light fixture). I kept them on since as I stated they do a good job but the carelessness is unacceptable. The price is very expensive as well so I will go looking elsewhere.

They worked four people at a time, I liked that. They changed their policy at the first of the year. They charge for an hour, whether they stay for an hour or not. I was charged for four man-hours. What annoyed me was they did not tell me about the change. They did not stay for the whole hour and charged me for it. They were really nice about it when I called and gave me a credit for the rest of it. I liked their cleaning and they were very efficient. They are a good company. Make sure that you have a whole hours worth of cleaning for them. They do special services if you ask them and know that you will be paying by the hour. They have been taught good cleaning methods, the house was always clean when they left and they always listened to what I wanted done. I think that they are a really good cleaning service. They came with in the hour that they said they would. They were not real clear on the price. I would them again.

Evyerthing went well, I was happy with the results.

I thought their pricing was reasonable. I like that they send us a team of four people and get it done quickly. What I think could be improved upon is their booking. I stopped using them because they set up an appointment with me that they were not able to do and I had only a half a day to hurry and find another cleaner. They really left me in a lurch.

I have been using The Maids for house cleaning for several years. They generally do a good job, although some of their "teams" are more thorough than others and some put things back the way they were better than others. They are very receptive to special requests. I most appreciate their professionalism--their uniforms, their equipment, their showing up on time, the adequate number of people to get the job done quickly, the responsiveness of the office staff, and the billing efficiency. All of this is pricey, however; each cleaning of about 2 hours (4 maids) costs $185 if you have it done every 3 weeks; the cost of each once-a-week cleaning is lower and that of each once-a-month cleaning is higher. I have not shopped around for a less expensive service because I'm generally satisfied with The Maids, but I may have to when I retire in a few years and have less income.

Although the team was pretty good, I thought they were comparatively expensive, but the main reason I chose to change companies was that they were not able to give me a regular time that they would come--only a firm date. This meant that I would have to keep my entire day free until the day before (when they would let me know the time) and that was not something I could do with my work schedule. Otherwise, they did a good job, but not exceptional given the cost.

Had difficulty scheduling for the cleaning....No call backs from service. Finally scheduled an appointment for cleaning. I paid for Top-to-Bottom Cleaning. Maids were schedule to be at my home approximately 1 PM and didn't arrive until 5:30 PM after several phone calls. The office lady left the office before the maids finally arrived at my house. I received a call from some guy who knew one of the maids. He was asking for directions to my house. He said they didn't speak English. At one point I received a call from him, and he told me they were knocking at my front door and wanted to know why I wasn't answering. They were not at my door. I have no idea where they were at that point. When they finally arrived, the head of the group (the only one who spoke any English) asked what to clean. I told her it was Top-to-Bottom, she acted like she knew what I meant, but they did not clean in that manner. Three maids were here for 2 hours. They didn't move one piece of furniture while vacuuming the carpets...not even the coffee tables or end table. When they cleaned the outside of my stainless steel appliances, they sprayed the cleaner on the floor in front of each appliance, as well. It was still there when they left. They didn't dust the blinds, or lampshades. They damp mopped the tile floors, but didn't sweep them first, so all they did was manage to spread the dirt around. There is more to the story, but I think readers should beware when they hire this company. They do not deliver the service they advertise. I had purchased a discount coupon for the service... it was my first experience with hiring a cleaning company for my home....sure soured my taste for thinking about doing it again.

Horrible. This company charges well over the regional amount and the expectation is professionalism and expert customer service. I never saw it and I will continue to tell everyone I can that The Maids might sound good from Nebraska but they conveniently forget some key points in their sales pitch for their franchises. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

They quoted us on the phone, a price of $167. and $296. to clean out an empty apartment. We had everything else done, including cleaning the carpet. We left to take things to the house. When we came back, she was sitting on one of my bowling chairs in the middle of the room, and they had discussed the price. First, they wanted to charge her $500., which was way over the quote. She talked them back down to $300. They did a good job, and even vacuumed the walls. From what I could see, they did a beautiful job. The issue was over the price. They came on time and they did the work nicely. We are very satisfied with what they did. The price they tried to quote was outrageous, but the actual quote was average. We called them on a Wednesday and they came on a Friday, even though we were a new client. Everyone we met and saw on the job was very good. We would use The Maids of Albuquerque again.

I liked their services but I no longer use them because I found a company with a better price.

My house always smells wonderful when I return. The floors are shiny and the bathrooms look awesome! I really feel that the counters, sinks, and toilets have been well sanitized. They vacuum my furniture to remove all the animal hair, which is really important to me. I generally try to pick up the clutter, but things I dont get to, they organize and clearly clean under, not just around. I am not sure they are cleaning the fans, so I am going to ask about that next time... I think they are cheaper the more often you have them come, but then of course you are paying more often. Overall I am very pleased. My neighbors have recently started using them as well.

It is a very positive experience. They come in every other week. They are very punctual and accurate, they're good and responsive to needs. I have recommended them to my neighbor who uses them. I like the team thing that they do. There is always somebody that you have talked to before, not always somebody new, so it works out well.

I would recommend them because they are very good. I live alone so I depend on them to keep the house. They do a lot of vacuuming and they take care of the spider webs near the ceiling. They do a good job. They will clean my refrigerator sometimes. They have different teams that come out but I request a specific one because I like them and I think they are better. Some teams aren’t very good, but the team I use now does very good work. They are cheaper than other companies.

They were really nice girls, prompt and very efficient. They did everything I asked for. They had great communication skills. They would ask or confirm if they had a question.

We love them and we are very happy with them. They have been very good with us. I would continue to use them in the future.

They punctual but they don't do their work very well. You have to tell them what to do. I had to make out a list, and half the time it got done and the other half, it didn't.

They are not as thorough as I would like them to be, but for the most part they have done good work. We have been using them for approximately seven to eight years.

They showed on time up with 4 people. One to clean kitchen, one to vacuum, one to do bathrooms, one to dust furniture. Overall, I am not to happy with their service. It took these four people 2 hours to clean my house... Two hours for one person to clean 1 and 3/4 baths?? Or the kitchen? Anyway they missed a few areas and the price was double the estimate given to me over the phone.

Although the price is really good for their services and they are punctual and very professional, we get annoyed sometimes when we ask them to put things back in the place they are supposed to go and they continuously forget to. It is a situation in which we hope they can change soon. Other than that, we continue to use them and we are somewhat satisfied with the quality of cleaning they do.

WHEN THEY COME OUT THEY DO A PRETTY GOOD JOB. THEY ARE ALWAYS HERE WHEN THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO BE HERE AND THE PEOPLE ARE FRIENDLY BUT PROFESSIONAL.
