Description of Work: I hired THD Construction, 4+/- years ago, to redo and/or repair work previously done by a man who misrepresented himself, and his "team" as licensed/qualified to do the work performed. Once I realized that I was being scammed and before the job was complete, he was fired. I called THD to correct/finish the work. I choose to call THD because it's owner lives on the same street as I and I see his truck parked in his driveway. After explaining my problems, Mr. Davis thoroughly explained his credentials and those of the licensed/experienced plumbers, tilers, electricians, painters, etc who he subcontracts to. THD first called the City Code Enforcement who could/would not certify the work because it was illegal or did not meet Code standards. Most of the work previously done had to be torn out/ |redone. This included removing illegal water lines from the attic and moving them to inside the house; removing/replacing all walls in front of areas where pipes were replaced; removing illegal above ground water faucet and restoring outside water faucet to front of house; replacing/correcting damage to electrical wiring in multiple rooms; installation of additional electric circuits to more evenly distribute load; reattaching and venting new hot water heater (originally billed as two waterless heaters)to meet Code standards; retiling/partially retiling floor, bath, shower ceramic tiles in two bathrooms. Additionally, THD did a partial remodel of the kitchen including installing new countertops, an electric counter top stove, installing a new oven, building a stainless steel cabinet with two large drawers to house the oven, and installing a stove vent in the ceiling above the stove. Over the course of this job, Mr. Davis kept me informed as to what would be done next and who would be doing it. Mr. Davis, as well as every member of his team, were professional, courteous, respectful, and a pleasure to work with. | |I recently contacted THD Construction/Terry Davis to replace my furnace and swamp cooler, with refrigerated air/furnace unit. Within about a week, the work was defined and cost estimates provided. Work should start in 2-3 weeks. |Thank you for the opportunity to share my experiences with you. |
