Sol O Alire Construction

They removed the old chain link fence (~150 ft) with gate (3 ft) in the front yard and put the parts where I wanted it. They replaced it with a stucco block wall that matches our house stucco color and nad-crafted a black wrought iron walk-in gate (4 ft). LOOKS GREAT! The hand-crafted walk-in wrought iron gate is a shorter replication of our front door gate. AWESOME! The salesman (Abraham) and foreman (Humerto) were excellent with maintaining open communication before and during the task, and were very accommodating with changes we requested as they progressed on the task. Considering the weather we had in last three weeks of Nov and first week of Dec, the work was completed within a reasonable amount of time. There was a couple people out working at 8:30 am with temperatures in the 30s every day. The crew was very polite and hard working. We are more than satisfied with the work the entire crew did and appreciate their hard working efforts. We have requested they next replace our trailer pad chain link gate (~12 ft swing) with a wrought iron one (~14 ft swing) that emulates the wrought iron gates we now have. I hired them on the spot when they came out for an estimate. Needed 22 ft of fence in the back yard and they said they could get to it the next week on thursday or friday. We shook on it and I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN!!! Sad because now we need our entire front yard fenced so they would have gotten that job too had they showed up to do the small job.

Communication with the owner was excellent and the work was completed within a reasonable amount of time. We live in a climate that has freezing and thawing of the bricks and the concrete between the brinks throughout the winter months. Sol provided ideas on how to repair and also stabilize the brick on our porch. I am now happy to have visitors as our fence is good as is our porch.

He got with me on time, and gave me a price for the project.

Sol O Alire Construction did a fantastic job with our fence work. We have a long section of wooden boundary fence that needed replacement. Abraham of Sol O Alire gave us a very good bid and completed the job in less than 2 days. The workmanship is excellent and we are very pleased. We will hire them again this year to replace another section of fence elsewhere on our lot.

Abraham was very punctual in returning my quote request and had great customer service skills. All my questions, concerns, and general inquiries were answered/addressed promptly. I had specific requests that abraham graciously accommodated. All of the workers were considerate and friendly. The job was completed in five days time. I'm extremely pleased with the final product and enjoyed working with Sol O Alire Construction on the project. I'm already planning the next Job...

Abraham came out and measured, but never produced an estimate. He kept saying he was going to send it to me, but never did. Then he informed me that he was going to be on another job and wouldn't be available for 3 months. I guess my job was too small for him--not enough $ for his pocket. Just on the fact alone that he wouldn't provide me with an estimate, I wouldn't recommend him or his company.

Absolutely everything went the very best it could have been: it started with a real person answering the phone when I called to inquire; they responded with a visit within 24 hrs, talked with me about the project, took measurements, then worked on an estimate, shared within a couple of days. The project had several phases, all explained thoroughly to me in advance. Then each phase went exactly as planned. I was encouraged to call or text the contact person anytime with questions or feedback. I did so, and always received a response promptly. Each work day the workers were polite and professional, always left the property clean and free of any unneeded trash or debris. When they finished, they called me out front to see it and ask any questions. I can honestly say their professionalism, responsiveness, and the quality of their work, including the materials used to do it, were stunning! A beautiful, strong, artful coyote fence was left in their wake--I highly recommend this wonderful company and its outstanding managers and workers!

Sol O Alire did a great job! We had a cedar fence repaired and another replaced. They also fixed a gate. The estimate was reasonable and the work was done in a very timely manner, in response to a request to finish before a backyard event. I also requested that they take care not to cut down some really big trumpet vines growing right over the fence they replaced---and they did! They even went out of their way, trimming the bottoms of a couple of pickets to accommodate the large trunk of one of the trumpet vines. We are delighted with the work they performed and the care with which they performed it.

They did a fantastic job. I would hire them again to do additional work. They were professional. I was happy with the price and the quality of the fence.

They responded quickly for the bid and thoroughly answered all questions. They were very friendly, professional, accommodating, and helpful. They brought all supplies and equipment, and they cleaned up afterwards. We were very pleased with their crew. Everyone worked hard and were very competent. We would definitely hire them again and would recommend them to anyone needing similar work done.

We had a block wall and gate that needed repair. They were very responsive, got us a quote quickly and finished the work quickly. The quote wasn't the absolute lowest but very reasonable and well worth it. They were able to match the existing blocks and make sure the repaired section of wall did not look like a patch job. You can't tell it was rebuilt separately. They did a pretty good job cleaning up after as well, just left an empty soda can. Otherwise would be an A across the board.

Sol O Alire delivered exactly what they promised. Completely professional, punctual, excellent quality of work and right on time, in fact they completed the job before the estimated timeline. Their pricing was very reasonable. I needed a really sturdy fence because of a "killer" dog in the next yard. Sol O Alire recommended doing individual pickets rather than the pre-fab picket panels that are not as strong. I totally recommend this company. I was very impressed by their professionalism and quality of work.

They did an excellent job, they were on time, quick and worked quickly, finishing early. Amazing group of people and Abraham and Humberto were awesome. We are going to continue using them for the rest of our house and fence.

Sol O Alire is a great company I trust. Abraham and his father (Humberto) are a high-performing team. My block wall was raised in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. I liked their work so much that I hired them to put in a backyard concrete walkway which was completed on time and looks great. I would recommend them without reservations as they are professional, timely with completion, provide quality work, and are fair with their pricing. I have already recommended them to my neighbors, and I will use them again in the future.

Fence around trash can excellent!!! Not happy that they didn't smooth out the concrete on blocks they just used part cement and gravel and put that in the blocks it makes it look cheap and sloppy in my opinion and which doesn't make the wall look good other then that they did a great job. Note: Had to keep contacting them as to see when they were coming was promise a date and they never even call to let me know that they weren't coming. They also don't take credit cards you have to pay 1/2 down and balance latter.

Outstanding - They removed the old 6' wood fence and cleaned up all the leaf litter around it. They then built concrete columns with wood pickets in between. The fence they built was straight and even, they used good quality materials that are well supported. In addition, these guys were on time, did everything in one day and completed the job in a townhouse lot where the only access was through a garage and laundry room and several steep steps. Thank you Humberto and Abraham!

The work and product is high quality. Steel posts and cedar panels. We met and discussed project with the Alire's with the understanding that we would be out of town and communication was essential. They met and exceeded our expectations. The work is approximately 50ft of fencing.

The wall we desired required an engineered design (6+ feet tall). During their estimate visit, Sol O Alire representatives quickly understood what would be needed to meet the engineering requirements. They obtained the City permit and dealt directly with the engineer to respond to City's questions. They were excellent in communicating with us and keeping us informed about project timing. Very friendly, hard working and dedicated to providing quality work. Timely project start and completion. They returned to touch up a couple areas we noticed shortly after completion.

It was great working with Abraham and Humberto. The fencing project was excellent when complete and they stayed in constant communication with me throughout the project. I would hire them again in the future with no hesitation.

I was moving from Austin to Placitas and had purchased a home that needed fencing for my dogs. Abraham was responsive via phone, text, and email while we worked out the scope and pricing for the project and after that while the job was in progress. Doing this sort of thing remotely was a challenge, but Abraham and his team got the work done and shared photos so I could see how things were going. The fence was done before I moved in and my dogs love their new yard.

Outstanding from start to finish. Showed me why the pillars failed and what they would do to correct it. They made the corrections and the pillars look great. They will easily handle the weight of our seven foot iron gates. Their work on the wall was exactly what we wanted. Removed old blocks (that did not match the rest of the wall) and replaced with correct blocks. The build up of the wall was fantastic. It looks like it has been there forever. Great job and I will use them again.

At my next door neighbor's request, he and I contracted with Humberto Alire (a member of his church congregation) and his son, Abraham (Sol O Alire Construction) in April of 2015.to build a block wall between our properties. During the 4-week construction period, I raised several complaints regarding the construction quality (multiple footer pours instead of a single footer pour. irregular surface flow, out of plumb, out of level, dirt fill instead of concrete fill for retainer elevations, and others. Before leaving for the day, they would spread a thin layer of concrete over the dirt-filled blocks to make us think they were filled with concrete. My son-in-law, also a contractor, agreed that the work was obviously substandard and joined me in pointing out the flaws to Humberto and Abraham. Since my neighbor was willing to accept the work, we refrained from withholding payment and let the job go to completion. Now, 3 years later, a section of the wall has begun to sink, leaving a structural crack the entire height of the wall (about 8' tall in that section). We called Humberto to fix it. He came by that same week (about 2-3 months ago), observed the crack, and promised to come back the next week to fix it. We have not heard from him since. There are numerous masonry contractors in Albuquerque that do quality work. Unfortunately for me, Sol O Alire Construction is not one of them.

They did a great job! They repaired a block wall that was about to collapse and they did it quickly and for a good price. I would absolutely use them again.

Humberto and his crew did a remarkable job. It took them only 5 to 6 hours to complete. They were all very professional. They did not leave scattered cement in my garden or in my yard. The wall increased the value of my home and the neighbors home too.. The price was well below several other estimates I had gotten. I am extremely satisfied with the work and the outcome. I recommend Humberto and his crew for anyone who wants an affordable job well done.
