Description of Work: Rebuild old water softner

Description of Work: Mike(sales) & Flip(installation) were super. Whole house filtration and under sink reverse osmosis water purification system installed. Flip arrived at the appointed time, did an excellent installation, was exceptionally knowledgeable, answered questions thoroughly and provided additional nice to know information. I had considered doing my own installation with a Whirlpool under sink RO that was highly rated at Consumer Reports. However after further research, many many purchasers complained of the systems leaking and flooding their kitchens. Using Sodeco was definitely a wise decision.

Description of Work: I had a water softener installed when we purchased the house. Our neighborhood had particularly bad water and notes were going around that not hardly anything worked. Our softener certainly didn't seem to be doing much if anything so I wasn't sure if it was just the bad water or a bad installation. After years of fiddling with the softener and making changes to the installation (all to no avail) we called Sodeco after seeing them on Angies List. The work involved removing and old softener, installing a new softener and water filter, testing the system and then starting up the new softener. The technician came out to look at the existing system, and I got a quote from the office for a completely new installation with a 5 year parts and labor warranty. They tested the water and said that they could soften it! Based on my experience with the tech and also the office staff I decided to go for it. The tech arrived at the scheduled time and set up the new installation, and then as he was finalizing the piping ( reconnecting the new softener to the old piping manifold) he discovered that the original piping was done incorrectly and would have to be changed. ( He had to cut a hole in the sheetrock in the garage to change the piping so that the system would work--and finally it does! Sodeco completed the work very professionally, completed it on the price agreed ( with some additional plumbing charges for needed changes), and I got a whole house water filter to boot. I would recommend Sodeco for water softener installation.

Description of Work: Don't buy a cheap water softener from one of the big box hardware stores. I did for 1/3 the price and had to replace the cheap model in less than 2 years. Plus the cheap water softeners require salt every month or so. The difference is that the cheap water softener is mostly made out of plastic. Sedeco's is made out of steel and copper. It is obvious which one will last longer. Plus the amount of salt the Sedeco system uses in a year is what the cheap one will use in a month. Less mess and service required. Water softener required to protect our antique bronze plumbing fixtures and appliances. Also to make the water taste good. Sedeco tested the water at our house to determine the settings required. They installed the water softener system lickety split.
