 + 1 moreWe have been using Simmons for years. I had tried several other companies and always got poor service or completely ripped off. Very tired of this in Albuquerque! Simmons Plumbing is an above average constant! I trust that they won't overcharge or say one thing and do another. They aren't the most affordable, but they are the best workers and when they give you a quote, even if it's much harder and takes much longer, they honor their quote (redoing our exterior pipes to the city was ****). They are polite and prompt and I'm thrilled we have one company we can trust. Thank you Dean & Co.

Description of Work: Mr. Simmons has been very dishonest in his response to my negative review. Mr. Simmons was on the roof and I tried and tried to call to him-he ignored me and yes I hollered to get his attention. Mr. Simmons spent time on the roof and claimed the swamp cooler was working when it was not. He did not knock on my door as I was home and saw him leave. After I wrote a negative review Mr. Simmons came to my apartment, knocking on my door angrily and shouting. I did not answer my door. Mr. Simmons colluded with the landlord-for 2 years; it was claimed the swamp cooler was cleaned and Mr. Simmons involvement came only after I hired a contractor to go on the roof and examine the swamp cooler. The swamp coolers had not been cleaned in years and had mold, rust, debris, cracked belt and ... . Again, Mr. Simmons your ethics are more than questionable as is your collusion with the landlord.

 + 0 moreStood on my roof and messed with my wifi connection. Didn't seem to like Amy Goodman and "Democracy Now." When I went outside to ask him to be careful of the wires he called me, "crazy." After emailing the landlord the interruptions stopped. I very much hope Mr. Simmons is honest in his appraisal of the swamp cooler as it is very likely that I will take the landlord to court.
Description of Work: Simmons does work for the landlord. Twice now they have lied to cover the negligence of the landlord. So I am sure that many of their reviews reflect their complicity in "getting over" on tenants. My landlord claimed he changed pads, belt and cleaned swamp cooler in June and that rust, debris and gunk blowing through was normal. The grate on the cooler only opens about half an inch. The swamp cooler does not work. I have already had a contractor look at the swamp cooler and document mold growing on pads that are falling apart and other issues with the swamp cooler.  + 1 moreSimmons was not our first choice. Nothing against them. We tried to deal with our neighbor's family connection. That did not work out very well. In any case,"Dwayne" showed up when he said he would. Went right to work; seemed to know what he was doing. Got the job done in record time. No BS or drama like the last guy we dealt with. We appreciate Simmons' responsiveness to our "emergency." TLC let us dangling for more than an hour and never called us to schedule as we were promised. We'll never make that mistake again! Next time, Simmons will be our first choice.

Description of Work: Nothing because I called the office and spoke to a woman on June 9, 2015 who said she would return my call and did not, so I called back on July 2, 2015 and she promised she would get back with me the end of the day and never did. I have used them before and I get the impression that they don't care if they do business for you or not. I will never call them again.

 + -1 moreI wanted to see what the quality of his work was, so I had a plumbing job I needed to do anyways and I wasn't quite sure with him on the boiler and the water heater. So I asked him to buy and do plumbing for me. He's a kind of a character, he was like, "oh you don't need to replace this, or that." I appreciate that he's making use of what I have but at the same time I know what needed to be replaced and he's just not replacing them. I was a little bit surprised by that, he was honest on me but he's kinda putting doubts in my mind and I'm kinda not reassured.
Description of Work: The guy from Simmons Plumbing & Heating gave an estimate and actually did a plumbing work for me related to the estimate.

 + 0 moreI called that morning and Dean was there by 11am the same day, when my time window was given from 11-1. I was happy it was sooner than later! He called when he was on his way and spent under an hour fixing my shower. I texted a picture of my faucet handles to the office so he knew exactly what to bring and fixed it perfectly! I have used Simmons before to turn on my swamp cooler and the service then was prompt and fast as well. The person I spoke with on the phone each time when I called was super nice and very attentive.
Description of Work: My shower was leaking very badly and Dean came and fixed the leak and replaced the hot and cold handles I broke trying to tighten them.

 + -1 moreCalled Simmons on 03/18 and set an appointment for 9:30 am 03/19. The plumber called me before the appointment to confirm what I wanted and he picked up the parts and arrived at the appointment time. Roy Simmons removed the old leaky valves and installed two quality valves which will last for years to come. Simmons is a family business which I would recommend for their high quality of work.
Description of Work: Replaced leaking washer hot and cold water supply valves.

 + 0 moreHe came but the equipment didn't arrive when it was supposed to (Frank's rental). Then when he had it it didn't work properly. The poor guy worked way too hard and it was because of the poor equipment. Someone from Frank's finally showed up and fixed it. I got more than my money's worth considering how long and hard he worked. He did an excellent job, put in cleanouts and spent a difficult time trying to get some type of slant where there is very little room to put a slant towards the street. They aren't the cheapest company, but I trust them and I like their attitude. I've used them on other issues and they never try and get you to do things that aren't necessary. They try and save you money. Great company.
Description of Work: Dug trench along driveway to expose old sewer pipe. Replaced orangeburg pipe from house to street.
