SCIENTIFIC TREE CARE SPECIALISTS

Responded timely to my inquiry by phone, said he could come out Friday early afternoon. So I cancelled two appointments in order to be home when they arrived. Got a call at 3:30pm that he and quot;just won't be able to get there today and quot; and that I would have to call the office to re-schedule. He expressed that he hoped it was not an inconvenience. I told him I had cancelled two patients in order to meet his schedule. And that I would call the office to re-schedule. Of course, I had no intention of doing business with STC after this. He called back in about two minutes and said, Well, we will go out of our way to get you in today. Can you imagine? He got here, gave the tree a cursory look and said he could treat it, that it would be $109. This after I was given a verbal one year guarantee three months ago. I agreed because my tree is in obvious need of care. He was here for a grand total of ten minutes, and it cost me $116 to address a problem they treated three months ago. Rude and ineffective should be the name of this company.

I've used STC Specialists for years and really like them. They saved the huge Elm tree in our front yard - when they first came out, it was very sickly looking and full of Elm beetles; in fact,my neighbor kept telling me I needed to get the tree cut down! They treated it through the trunk the first time and since then have treated and fed it through the roots. The Elm tree became healthy-looking within a year of the initial treatment and it continues to thrive seven years later.

They treated our 5 mulberry trees with an undisclosed mixture, which had absolutely no effect on the health of the trees. when we asked another arborist to give us a second opinion, he told us there was no such insect as a bark-type beetle that was specific to mulberry trees.

I have been using them for over 20 years. They are very good. They come out every spring. They do it with environmentally safe products. They also like to come in the fall to get them ready but I haven't had them come then yet. I don't have them come as often as some people because I have irrigation. Their prices are very reasonable; it is like $35 per tree. They also treat my yard for fleas and ticks and they used a product that was safe. They are very responsive. The quality is very good. Sometimes they get delayed but I'm flexible.

One of the trees showed no improvement then and is as sick as ever. They said they'd be back in the fall to further feed and treat, but we never heard from them again. We didn't get the impression they knew much about tree diseases. The men who came had nothing to do with the name on the ad in the Yellow Pages.

They do a good job, are reliable, courteous, and the trees stay healthy year after year and are productive (fruit trees).

They did not return calls promptly, and I have had to call more than once to get a call back (2 times). I asked for advisement on damaged trees, and an estimate on tree removal. On the phone, it was repeatedly mentioned that now was the time for tree feeding. Although I would consider that, it was not top priority. The crew showed up with instructions to feed my trees, neither was an arborist to give care advice, and I did not hear from the estimator on the tree removal until a week later. I took the afternoon off from work to NOT get what I needed. The guys who fed the trees were helpful enough.

They showed up on time and were there for about 3 hours. They did a very good job from what I can tell. They did go over some ways to protect the trees in the future. They did have to call and reschedule the appointment, but they called the day before to let me know. I thought that was good. There was a crew of 4 people doing the work.

I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN IN A MINUTE. THEY WERE GREAT AND DID GREAT WORK. I WAS DOING SOME RESEARCH TO FIND SOMEONE TO LOOK AT MY TREE, SO THEY SENT SOMEONE OVER TO DIAGNOSE IT. THEY MADE SENSE SO I HIRED THEM.

MY TREE LOOKS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL NOW. I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH HOW QUICKLY THE TREE SPRUNG BACK TO LIFE. I AM NOT SURE WHAT ALL THEY EXACTLY DID BUT WHATEVER IT WAS WORKED. I WILL DEFINITELY BE USING THEM AGAIN.
