Description of Work: A year earlier, Rocky had fixed a leak and done repairs on my roof. Some cracking appeared after about 10 months on the parapet. Rocky came out, said he'd redo it at no cost because he'd given a year's warranty, and he did it very well and at no charge. No hassle, and a beautiful job.

Description of Work: I had a leak in my roof. I could not find the leak. A local air conditioning company sent its roofer twice to re-seal where it's air conditioning pipes went through the roof. But that did not fix the leak. I flooded different parts of my roof to close in on the leak, but couldn't find it. This went on for months. Several roofing companies sent estimators. They had different ideas of what to do. Meanwhile, from Angie's List, I found a person I thought was a roofer but actually put in skylights. His name is David Ferry. When I called, David's wife Amanda told me that David's brother Rocky was an excellent roofer and could find leaks. Rocky came over. We went up on my roof. Rocky was not as personable as the estimators of the two companies I called (also recommended by the List.). He did not have a valid state license nor was he bonded. His price was several hundred dollars more. But he had decades of roofing experience. I called two references he gave me; they were superb. Rocky insisted it leaded where the air conditioning pipes went through the roof. Another estimator had suggested that source, but I believed Rocky could probably handle the job better and hired him. The first thing he did was he fixed the leak. I flooded my (flat) roof to make it leak but there was no leak. I was stunned. Then he rebuilt the roof sidewall tops, aluminum-taped my air conditioning wires, re-stuccoed my chimney where it intersected the roof and had cracked out, and painted aluminum paint on all the black sidewalls and roof penetrations caused by the piping. He also sealed the skylight his brother put in. (David Ferry and son do nice work on skylights.) Rocky put more gravel down where the gravel was thin. He re-sealed the canals that permit water to drain from the roof. Unasked, he re-stuccoed part of the chimney way down from the roof, above the firebox. He provided a year's warranty instead of a month, which the other companies offered. Altogether, I was stunned at the quality of the work he performed.
