RIO GRANDE LATH & PLASTER

Very efficient estimate and quote. Was able to complete job within a week of the quote. Workers were here three days total. Excellent job. Love the color. Workers were awesome and cleaned up well.

We received a quote on 9/14/2021. Very nice and answered all my questions the day he did measurements of my house and gave me a verbal quote. After receiving the email with the final estimate in writing, we decided we were going to use Rio Grande Lath & Plaster. I called them several times and emailed them and no one ever returned my calls or emails. Ended up going with another company. Very disappointed to not get a call back. I don't know why they never returned my calls/emails. Never heard from them again. I thought it was weird that they would drive to the East Mountains to do a quote then not want the business.

They would work part of a day and then not return the next day. When I would call or email I didn't receive a reply until the next day that they came. The result of the work is non-uniform color. Hector, the boss, only came to take measurements for the proposal and then we did not see him again.

They provided a good, helpful estimate after having to reschedule once.

The work went well, had to spread it out a bit due to the weather being so cold but once started everything went quick and done in a timely manner. Would hire them again and refer them for sure.

They came in with a great team, they did it all in one day! the job was fantastic. Clean up needed a little prompting, there were some specific pickups I noted and they were handled. The next day we noticed an oversight under two gutters, but they came the following week and took care of it all! Great job to this group and the price was just right, we may have them do another house in the spring, too cold now!

We contacted about a dozen stucco contractors and got quotes from about half of them. Rio Grande Lath and Plaster was very reasonable. They started on Monday and finished by Thursday. They always showed up exactly on time. They matched our previous color. The finish is smooth and beautiful. The patches don't show. The repaired fascia boards don't show. They cleaned up all the mess. They were courteous and answered all of our questions. I would definitely use them again, and have already recommended them to my neighbors.

The stucco repair was done well. The workers were polite and professional. The color of the repairs blend in very well with the original stucco. Would hire again.

The work seemed to go well. Hector gave me a 6 year warranty on the stucco. He was paid what he asked when the job was complete. The new stucco matched the older parts of the house and it looked really good -- For ONE Year that is. Stucco was sprayed on downspouts as well as the wall. I don't know why they did that. The stucco was supposed to be hand-troweled not sprayed on the wall. The stucco that Hector applied is now peeling and cracking off the wall and downspout. I've called numerous times and emailed twice in the last 6 weeks. Hector hasn't returned my calls or responded to my email. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. The work is substandard and they don't honor their warranty. UPDATE: "Hector did finally respond to my calls and emails. He came out with a crew, inspected the wall where the stucco had peeled off. He repaired that area as well as some other cracks in the stucco to make up for not getting right back to me. Hector is an honorable man. He does back up his warranty and goes beyond just fixing the one problem, but makes sure everything else is taken care of.

Work required restuccoing one entire wall, color coating and repair at various locations. I am satisfied with the job, but have a few complaints. A fixture and antenna connector were broken during removal. One repair area was forgotten. I fixed these myself. RG left me a tool and color coat. Repeated requests for a signed receipt for my payment with the 6 yr warrantee have gone unanswered. It was not communicated that I should keep the walls moist after job completion. I read this online and did it. Were it not for these details, my review would be 5.

Went very well. Hector was on time and assessed our needs. He told us that we do not need a new roof although another company had said we did. He offered a very reasonable estimate to fix the leak and do annual maintenance. He also offered an alternative to traditional stucco to improve the appearance of our home. We haven't decided what we are going to do yet, but we are considering his offer. We found him to be honest and to present good ideas.

I couldn’t be more pleased. Neighbors have commented on how good the house looks. Mr. Carrasco gave me the best quote of about six contractors I interviewed. His crews were timely and very courteous. My neighbor inspected the roof and gave it the thumbs up. Both jobs were done very quickly. They had to scrape off the original tar and gravel roof so I expected some cleanup for me to do but there was none. I received a 15 year warranty on the roof and 6 years on the stucco. I plan to hire this company again when I have some work to do on my walls and ceiling inside. I couldn’t be more pleased.

I made the appointment and showed up to wait. He called 20 minutes after our appointment time to tell me he was running late and would be another 30 minutes before he could arrive. He showed up, gave me an estimate and promised to email me his bid the next morning. That was 7 days ago and he hasn't called or emailed me. So... why is Angie's List referring people who can't even follow up???

We have a large adobe home south of Santa Fe that was in need of new exterior stucco. We received multiple estimates prior to hiring Hector and his crew. As you know if you are reading this review, you have to be careful in Santa Fe as some contractors either charge exorbitant prices or underbid a job only to increase the price later. Hector's was the only bid we received that was thoughtful and fairly priced. We couldn't be happier that we decided to go with Rio Grande. From start to finish they have been responsive, professional, fair, and to top it all off our home looks amazing! The color is spot on, there were repairs to cracks we didn't even know we had, and in one area where we had a small concern Hector sent someone back out to remedy it (small area of plaster was uneven over a wood beam). I absolutely would not hesitate to recommend them. Give them a call, you won't be sorry.

Great! The house looks wonderful! The crew took 3 or 4 hours to repair the cracks one morning and then returned to apply the synthetic stucco a few days later. They were prompt, courteous, efficient and completed the work the same day. I am very pleased! I highly recommend Rio Grande Lath and Plaster. The cost was also very reasonable.

The owner of the company and his employees were absolutely fantastic! They were very professional and we were very happy with the end result. I have already recommended this company to several people.

Great! Hector perfectly matched the stucco with our house color, and was able to complete the job promptly and effectively. We will definitely be using Rio Grande Lathe and Plaster again in the future!

I gave them permission to come into my yard, but the workers were not knowledgable in what they were doing. Hector left the premises while they were working. They plopped a bag of stucco stuff onto my patio and it went all over. I found out the stucco material has lyme in it. Every morning I come out and I have to wash my plants off because the stucco is powdering dust all over my plants and leaching into the ground, which is killing them. I ve lost my prized hibiscus plants and one grape vine. Another two grape vines are dying. I’ve called seven times and they promise to come out and do something but they never show up.
