Description of Work: On this visit, we got our puppy's 4th set of shots, but we've gotten her other 3 sets of shots here as well. The doctor also checked out a little lump on our our puppy's right shoulder.

Description of Work: On that date, we were just picking up a last-minute prescription for Rimadyl. They are always good about turning prescriptions around at the last minute, which happens to us a lot because we have several dogs on the same med. We swear we'll never do it again, but all of a sudden, that bottle turns up empty! In this case, on a busy day after a holiday, they were still able to turn our scrip around in about an hour. Trish Mazzolini is our primary vet, and we can't say enough good things about her. She has cared for our little pack for two years now, and she does a beautiful job explaining to this lay person what's going on. She is compassionate and articulate, and without steering you toward one treatment or another, she isn't afraid to level with you and speak plainly based on her own experience. In one case, she came to our house to put down our oldest dog, and the experience couldn't have been less traumatic for all involved. And this was not an exception due to our situation, the practice makes house calls for an extra fee, somewhere around $90 if I remember correctly. We haven't done it for anything routine yet, but should all of our pets need vaccinations at the same time or something where taking all three in at once would be a nightmare, we would certainly consider it. As for price, it is never "cheap," but I've never felt like it was unfair either. You get quality care, and you pay for what it's worth. We love everyone at the practice, especially Marilyn. (Marilyn is a treasure and really gets animals and owners alike!) We are so grateful to have stumbled into this office and don't ever want to leave.

Description of Work: Rio Bravo has been our vets for years. Very caring and staff is very nice. Dr Mazzilini and Dr Slack are very good vets. Take lots of time with your animals. I trust our animals to their care.
