I needed a new roof for my house and got three bids. I was able to negotiate a shingled roof contract with Reece for about $1000 more than a tar and gravel roof. The shingle roof comes with a lifetime warranty - something that a tar and gravel roof never does. I liked Mr. Reece very much. I advised him that I usually try to contract with companies where the owner still uses his real name.Also, unlike many other roofing companies in Albuquerque, Mr. Reece did not request or demand and down payment prior to the commencement of work. A homeowner should NEVER give a downpayment to a contractor prior to work, as the contractor has lien filing rights if the work is done and not paid for. The work was done in three days. The workers worked very hard and left the property cleaner than when they arrived.

Kevin Reece works right along side his men inspecting and showing his men exactly how he wants it done. A few years back Kevin replaced the roof that was leaking over one part of my house. Since than I have had no problems with leaking on that section of my house. On another older section my canales have been leaking despite my efforts to fix them. Kevin and his men showed up on time and scraped the roof area around each canale down to the wood decking about a foot out. They sprayed a primer down and than built up a half inch thick roof in four layers with black cloth between each layer. After that it was painted with a silver sealer paint and the rocks were replaced. Kevin and crew cleaned up everything and it looks great! I am very happy with the quality of work Reece Roofing has completed on my house.

Kevin is an Angie's List member, and I can't say enough good things about him. In 2005, I had a new roof installed. The warranty expired in a year, and since then, I've had to have Kevin out to fix the problems caused by the original roofer. I consider the original roof shoddy workmanship. I never have a problem after Kevin has fixed it. He runs a small business, and I have gotten to know him as a friend. He's helpful and friendly, and I am always am glad to do business with him. I feel bad he has to keep fixing someone else's shoddy work. Sometimes, I wonder if he charges me enough!

I found this company on Angie's list. But, there was a note that it stated the company does not accept any new work. After reading the reviews about this company, I decided to call them anyway to see if they'd be interested in giving me an assessment of of my roof and an estimate. I ended up leaving a message thinking that I would never get a call back. Well, I got a call back the same day from Kevin and after he listened to what wanted done, he told me he could meet me at the house in the next several days and provide me a cost estimate. I met him and his assistant and they did a thorough inspection of all areas and told me I would have a recommendation and estimate in the next several days. I received the estimate the next day through email. I thought the estimate for the scope was reasonable, so I asked Kevin, if he would be able to complete the work before the monsoon season. We set a date and he and his crew showed up on the day and time promised. They completed the work in a professional manner (maintaining excellent house keeping practices and a clean job site). We did not experience any roof leaks after several heavy rain storms. We highly recommend this company for all roof repairs and replacement projects.

After soliciting 4 bids, all A-rated roofing companies from Angie's list, I contracted with Reece Roofing Co. While the other companies were all prompt with their bids, their descriptions of what they intended to do were significantly less descriptive. In a couple of cases they did not provide an estimate for the specific work I requested, instead they quickly tried to expand the scope of the job which made it difficult to compare apples to apples. I chose Reece Roofing because they provided an estimate for what I requested, were very specific in exactly what they intended to do and how their solution went "beyond" the other companies. On a cost per square foot basis, Reece Roofing was not the cheapest, nor the most expensive. All interactions were prompt and professional. The owner Kevin Reece was a pleasure to work with, he provided a time frame of when the work would start, send me a confirmation email two days prior to the actual start date. The work started exactly on time. His crew was courteous, prompt, and went straight to work. They stripped the old roof down to the decking, repaired the decking in a few places, widened an inter-roof canale, and completely replaced the roof in two and a half days. They went beyond the bid and removed the existing roof top air-conditioner down chute, made sure it was flanged correctly, and re-installed it so it would not leak. Their work was professional, they cleanup up everything, performed an on-roof inspection with me, answered all my questions, and hand delivered the transferable warrantee (10 years). I am happy with the overall job, all went smoothly, the price was reasonable, and the interactions were positive. I would definitely recommend Reece Roofing to others.

He did a great job. He is a really great guy altogether. He made suggestions to me about part of the roof like flashing and things like that. Before he bought the material, I met him and he drove around the homes in the neighborhood that he had done roof and he showed what he was talking about, so it made the overall experience much nicer. He wanted me to understand the whole process. Some people don’t care if we understand or not. He communicated really well. He knows me a lot. He kind of walked me through everything. He wanted me to like the roof afterwards and be happy with it. I have already recommended him to other people. He is a really nice guy. I love his personality. I would rate him highly and would absolutely use him again in the future if needed.

As a homeowner, I've dealt with my share of roofing companies over the years. Some were OK, others left a lot to be desired. That is, until I finally got in touch with Reece Roofing. From our first meeting to the follow-up email, every aspect of our experience with Reece Roofing has been very positive. Reece Roofing used their extensive experience and authoritative knowledge to diagnose our roof leak, offered us a reasonable proposal to fix our roof and performed superb work with meticulous craftsmanship to seal our roof. They even went the extra mile and cheerfully performed a few tasks to help us out with other minor problems with our roof. The experts at Reece are knowledgeable, courteous, prompt, tidy, and helpful. I wouldn't consider hiring anyone else to work on our roof.

They did a really good job. They fixed the leak and it has not leaked since. Their price was reasonable. They were prompt, did the job right away and followed through. They were nice and we did recommend them to our daughter.

Mr. Reece explained everything in detail and was always available by phone or in person. The project took about two weeks. The group worked hard and very well together. When unpredictable problems with the existing roof arose they handled it well. We were very pleased with their professionalism and highly recommend them.

He identified a VERY DANGEROUS structural support situation and included it's repair in the estimate for the roof. He used 3/4" (or so) planking for the tar paper base so we have better insulation and a better foundation for the paper than we had before. We figure he saved us at least 1/3 over what a major contracting company would have charged. Very excellent experience and we will be using him again!

Kevin Reece was very responsive to my request for an estimate, responding to questions on the estimate, and scheduling the work after the award. The estimate was very complete, and was in fact the low bid. Mr. Reece was very open about what the roofing association suggested should be repaired and other items that I thought might need repair, but were not needed. In other words, he protected me from doing non-essential repairs. He also honored his Angie's List discount offer. The repair crew (including Mr. Reece) showed up as scheduled and completed the work in 1 1/2 days as planned. The quality of the work was excellent, cleanup was done after the work, and the crew left the work site (the roof) in excellent shape. The A rating from previous clients in Angie's List were well deserved.

Kevin and all of his staff are excellent, extremely nice, and most professional. I am moving and sad to think I will be leaving such professionals. If there is a little hitch that they missed (which only happened once) they come back immediately at no charge.

We had had some leaks over the past couple of years which were starting to become more of a problem. So we decided to get the roof replaced. Kevin Reece gave us a good price and was able to schedule the work for a time we would be away. When we got back, he made it a point to come over and walk me through it to see all that had been done. We were quite pleased with the work and the company, having used their services before.

I'm delighted! Pleasant workers were here at the appointed time, did a quality job without delay, documented by photos (so I didn't need to get on the roof to check!) and cleaned up completely after themselves. Kevin and his crew are first rate all the way around! Reece Roofing is in demand for good reason, but it is well worth waiting until they can get to you. I had already tried the cheapest bidder, which left me with just as many leaks as before. I will never again waste money on some other company's inferior work.

Kevin is very busy and it took some time before he was able to do the work. But it was well worth the wait! I plan to use him again when I need repairs or a new roof. I felt very comfortable with the people that worked with him.

They were not responsive. When I called them, they told me that they would come out the next week but they did not show up. They also did not communicate with me and I decided to go with another company.

I was concerned about the condition of the tar and gravel roof on our home. We noticed a small leak after a snowstorm. Kevin Reece examined the roof and told us exactly what needed to be done to repair the leak and prevent future problems where the roof meets the parapets and around the skylights. His estimate was right on target and the work was done quickly and in a professional manner. Cleanup was thorough. When the roof ultimately needs replacing, Reece Roofing will be my first choice.

It's just another tar and gravel roof - so why so expensive? Answer - outstanding quality of workmanship. When it comes to flat roofs, I've found (from money wasted) it's not the materials, it's the workmanship and attention to detail that really count. The guys on this work crew are all EXCEPTIONALLY professional. I believe that this roof will be leak-free well beyond the ten year warranty and I won't have to worry about it for a very long time.

Kevin Reece is great to deal with; a genuine human being and kind man. Given how far out his crew was scheduled at the time, we were lucky that he was able to fit our project in on a Saturday. The crew arrived on time, got their work done in less time than expected (~5 hours) and cleaned up well after themeselves before they left.

Kevin Reece is amazing! I loved the entire crew. I really respect the difficulty and dedication of workers who tore out several tons of old roofing in order to install a new roof on my house. They all did a fantastic job. Having a room re-done is horrible and filthy, but these guys were so hard-working and good-humored that I was happy to see them every morning (early!) and hear them pounding nails and throwing tar around. In the end, they cleaned up everything, they always let me come up on the roof to explain things to me, and they did an excellent job. I've had to have a couple of things patched a year after they were here, and then again in April of 2009. Kevin is always responsive if I've got a problem and comes out the same day to fix any little thing. Before I had the roof put in, I had lots of leaking on and off for about eight years. I had lots of different roofers come to my house to try and find the source of the leak. There are a lot of roofers in this town. I think I've met most of them. Kidding. But. I am so glad that I had Kevin Reece do this roof. He has integrity, experience, and is kind to his crew. Most of them people who worked on my roof have been working with Kevin for many years. That speaks volumes.

Reece Roofing pretty much matched others on price, but no other roofing company I talked to (I got a total of 5 estimates before selecting Reece) had such a professional, responsive and generally friendly guy. Kevin Reece uses email! Email quotes! Email questions on scheduling! Email invoices! It was great and almost made it painless (aside from the $8000 we had to spend) to have work done on our house. I work full time, and can't always make calls for appointments and things during business hours, so it really helped working with Kevin to be able to use email. Best of all, they finished the job in just one very long day.

Mr Reece's crew arrived on time and promptly began work. They worked very efficiently and effectively together, as the job required considerable teamwork climbing the tree and removing only those branches that had caused the roof damage. They repaired only what had been discussed prior to beginning the job, which we appreciated. The skylight repair was excellent; Mr Reece recommended an opaque cover, which actually improved the interior of the house - less direct heating from the sun/softer filtered light.

Kevin Reece, the owner, came out promptly and provided a written estimate of the work to be done. The installer came out to do the work when he said he would. When I inspected the work, I was disappointed in the way the work area was left. The installer had to move the evaporative cooler from its mounts and wrapped the water line around an attic vent fan to get it out of the way. When he put the cooler back, he didn't move the water line from around the vent fan and it stretched the line to the point that it started to drip at the connector. I notified Kevin to have the line reconnected and he came out the next day and replaced the entire water line. I feel he went above and beyond what was required. Kevin runs an excellent business and I'll definitely call him again with any roofing needs.
