They do an excellent job! Ramon and his crew have worked for me to close to 10 years. They have never missed a scheduled day. His wife does the billing and she is efficient and accurate. I have really come to depend on them. My phone calls and e-mails are returned immediately. I can't speak highly enough about how professional they are.

Ramon and his crew did a very professional job. Ramon was awesome to work with. He always puts in the extra effort to make my yard look beautiful. We are always pleased with the work they perform. Highly recommend Razor Sharp!
Description of Work: They provide mowing and trimming services (bushes) for my front and back yard.
It always goes well, and if I am having problems in an area he notifies me and even gives me advice on who to hire! I trust his experience and judgement, from sprinkler repair to well pumps. My best advice is to trust his judgement. He is an expert in all the plants and their care, so best to listen to him and follow his advice. He has worked with a lot of the other contractors and and knows who does good work at a fair price. He does care for a lot of the high end properties in the Albuquerque and Corrales area, so if you are lucky enough for him to care for your lawn and yard never let them go! He has cared for our yard for over 10 years. I hope we never have to find someone else! Note: I just had consults with landscape designers as we have to relocate our leech drain fields. All of them have asked for Razor Sharp's contact information, and all of them were very impressed with appearance of our yard.
Description of Work: Ramon and his crew show up like clockwork every week in spring summer and fall, and biweekly in the winter. Razor Sharp keeps our yard looking fantastic! They mow, trim, prune roses, weed the beds, rake the leaves, blow off porches and the driveway, fertilize, trim hedges, dead head...as the previous owner of the house told me...HE DOES EVERYTHING! It was one of the reasons we bought the house. We travel extensively and I never have to worry--the yard always looks fantastic. He is reliable, all of his crew are polite, and he manages them very well. They always know exactly what area they are working in, and are always responsive to my concerns! Even my master gardener friends are impressed! I highly recommend Razor Sharp!

We have used Razor Sharp for over 10 years, both for our personal residence and for a commercial building. They have always been fair with their prices and I trust that they will do a great job. I often get compliments on the work they do and have recommended their services to anyone that asks.
Description of Work: For a commercial building, they trimmed the shrubs around the building and then used a blower to clean the parking lot. Throughout the year they also maintain the flowers around the building, changing them with the seasons.

I had entered into an agreement with the husband, Ramon. Initially, Ramon was professional and prompt. His wife, Kristina, was horrible to deal with and I am stunned to see they have such a good rating on Angie's list. Furthermore, for all their trappings of being a good business with a great value, they are overpriced and unprofessional. I was given a quote, given a time, and talked about what was expected from each party (dates, access, special requests, parameters of work). Unfortunately, in speaking with Ramon it seemed very manageable. However, Ramon's wife, Kristina, believes she is an attorney first and business woman second. Razor sharp has contrived a contract that is contradictory and one-sided (rescheduling fees, watering requirements, gas surcharges, pets and access penalties, lawn appearance specifications, no place for Razor sharp to sign in agreement, etc). Despite the contract's clear short-comings, I did sign and leave for Ramon to pick up. However, shortly after receiving this contract, I only saw Ramon and his workers one additional time from that initial conversation. I was told that my time slot would be on a specific day and during a one hour window of arrival time (as their contract says your time is like a and quot;hotel reservationand quot; it is unique to youand quot;). There is a caveat: that unique time does not really apply at all times, it only applies when it is convenient to them. Not only did they not show up when they said they would, I could not tell that they had been at my home (though I was charged). Without letting me know, they had changed my clearly discussed and agreed upon and quot;unique timeand quot; from a one-hour window to a five-hour window. They did not answer their phones and/or return my message until it was discovered they did not have a signed copy of the contract. I was still willing to do business with them in and quot;working out the kinks.and quot; And thought that I had a nice discussion with Kristina. However, when I dared to question Kristina in an confirmation email--that she requested--on the contradictory provisions of the contract, and the fact that they were not showing up when they said they would, Kristina basically told me--in a series of emails--to take my business elsewhere. Again, the only two things I questioned were why the show-up time was changed to the same day but random time, and why when I had paid and had signed the contract they were threatening to and quot;lose my spot on the scheduleand quot; if I did not immediately scan and send them a signed copy of the contract. I tried to fax them a copy, but their fax line was not working (nor do their phones at times) and she insisted without reason that the contract needed it scanned. That was an impossibility for me at the time. While trying to negotiate getting the contract to her in a timely manner, she sent me an email that lectured me on how they could not waste and quot;man hoursand quot; by not being efficient with their time and that I just had to understand that the and quot;unique timeand quot; did not always apply (during an earlier conversation she likened it to waiting for the cable-man). The email went on so that I stopped reading it mid-way. Especially when I got to the part where she intimated that I was high maintenance and I needed to take my business elsewhere. In a nutshell: if you want a company that treats you like they are doing you a favor--rather than one that appreciates having costumers--this is the company for you to employ. Keep in mind, they are more expensive than others and you cannot confirm the time they will arrive at your home.

Response from Razor Sharp Lawn and Landscape Maintenanc
We do our best to meet expectations even when expectations are very difficult we find it gives us motivation to strive above and beyond our scope. I made several attempts to satisfy an unsatisfied customer. I do find it alarming that her complaint is somewhat exaggerated and states many untruths and she pulls many things from the contract out of context; therefore, I decided to take the opportunity to respond. I do want to note, I had to change my response I tried to download all our conversations we exchanged in emails and they did not fit which would confirm that what I have stated below is true, accurate and fact and represents my actual first-hand experience. In regards to our contract: Our contracts are very customer friendly and we designed our contracts not only for our protection but for the protection of our customer their personal property, and beloved animals. We designed them as if our company was performing services at our own personal property. We do require dogs to be secured for the protection or our crew and for the protection of the animal. Animals get very stressed, scared and agitated with the noise of the equipment some will hide, try to escape and some may try to attack the equipment or our crew. Before we provide our service we want to make customer aware of the risks and the solution so nothing horrible happens to their beloved pet(s), personal property etc. In dealing with member she was always very happy and impressed with our services and never brought to my attention our contract was contradictory and one sided. During the course from October 6th to November 8th I spoke with member twice during a phone conversation and sent one email giving her a friendly reminder to send contract via mail, email, and explained my fax line was currently down. I have never threatened a customer, lectured, or bullied a customer nor did I ever tell her to take her business elsewhere. In November, one month after servicing in good faith, I did say if we did not receive her signed contract we would not be able to service her property. I was surprised to see she stated she never knew we were there since we spent 8.75 hours cleaning up her yard during the course of October 8, 17, 24, 31 and November 7. Her house keeper or parents would let our crew in if she was not home. If she was paying for a service she never received why make payment on two separate occasions and never call to complain? During the emails and phone conversation she never brought any complaints to my attention, except for our conversation on November 8th. During our last phone conversation on November 8th she was very irate and demanding. She stated she could not guarantee, I quote, “voracious dogs, would be secured or her gate would be unlocked if we did not arrive between 3pm and 4pm the time frame Ramon gave her” (I would like to say we never give an exact time, but a TWO hour time frame. I have never had to give a “five hour time frame” like member stated in her complaint. During our conversation she kept changing the time frame and the time frame she gave in her complaint, again a different time frame. I listen to her frustrations and understood her concerns but found her one our time frame (3-4) she was demanding I could not guarantee. I explained how we are usually there consistent each week but now that the winter season is here and leaves are descending it is best to have a two hour time frame. I also explained, all our customers time is very important to us and how a one hour time frame could be unfair to the customer before her, especially now with the leaves falling, our goal is to provide a customer with the service they deserve (their time is exclusively for them) and it would be difficult if we got done with our previous customers early and we had to wait around for 3pm, the time frame she gave me at this point in time, before we could provide service. I apologized and tried to find resolution by suggesting we call prior to arrival and she would arrange for her parents to open the gate and secure her dogs, both in agreement. I then got an email stating she could not be home until after 2pm suggesting we could not do service until after 2pm when we had agreed prior we would call and her parents would open and secure dogs. She also stated our contract says, “…her time is exclusive to her”, she took the guideline out of context so in an email I guided and directed her that we don’t guarantee an exact time. I continued to explain the guideline she was referring to is designed to give our customers the confidence that when we are servicing their property that time is exclusively for them; therefore, if a neighbor request our service we would not leave her property to do work elsewhere we would stay and complete the job, and provide her with the service she deserves. At that time, I felt we could not meet her expectations on the time frame and she could not guarantee her dogs would be secure or gate open when we arrived and we could not perform our service. We would not be able to continue service under these circumstances. Since we could not come to an agreement and we could not meet her expectations I told her we would not bill her for the hour we spent on November 7 for any inconvenience this may have caused; once again, trying to keep a good relationship. Rescheduling fee: Say we provide service on Wednesday you have a party on Saturday and want to have your weekly service that week switch to Friday afternoon. If we are in the area we don’t charge, if we have to make a trip across town off our regular daily route we do charge a fee of 35.00, any time our customers have to reschedule they have never complained, they are happy we can be flexible. Water requirements: We did not write water requirements; we comply with the city water requirements. Pets and Access penalties: This does not exist in our contracts and never will, again, shock when I read complaint. My phone line is, has and always has been working properly, contrary to member's complaint. You may get the voicemail when you call I am in school during the day and my husband is out on the field, but all my customers have Ramon’s phone number if there is an emergency; therefore, they can always get a hold of him. I am very pleased with them. It’s a family run business. I have been using their services for a number of years. Their price is the best. They are very considerate. They offer different services that needs to de done but they don’t push it if I feel it isn’t needed. They are always punctual. We enjoy working with them. They will be giving me an estimate to remove the leaves but they are waiting for the leaves to stop falling.
