We are very pleased to endorse Quality Roofing in Albuquerque, N.M., for the work they did on on our home. Wind had damaged the sheet metal flashing on one of the roof gables. Le Roy and his crew were able to make the repair as though it was new. I would not hesitate to recommend them for all your roofing needs.

We got an appointment with Mr. Ortiz within a couple of days and he showed up promptly that day. He explained clearly everything he planned to do, and he found and patched a hole in our roof that had caused a serious leak in one bedroom. Amazingly, he wouldn't let us pay for his services for a week - either until it rained the next time, or, if it didn't rain, we could flood the roof to test the patch. When the bedroom ceiling started to collapse, naturally, we expected a major repair, and we are very pleased that Mr. Ortiz did just what was needed at a very reasonable price. We would absolutely call him again if there are any future problems and recommend him to others. Thanks to Angie's List for helping us find just the right person for the job!

LeRoy arrived at the agreed to time. He inspected the roof and gave me his assessment. He then patched / sealed some areas around the roof penetrations where repairs were needed. I was impressed with LeRoy's upfront / straight-forward demeanor. He did not at all pressure me to agree to additional work or repairs- but instead provided his opinion on the state of my roof and what my best options are going forward. I appreciated the honesty.

I had had another contractor attempt to fix the leak twice, but he was unable to locate and resolve the problem. It needed to be fixed so I decided to try Quality. First, Mr. Ortiz came out to survey the leak area. Then we set up an appointment for the actual repair. Mr. Ortiz arrived on time and was able to affect a repair that stopped the leak. I actually postponed writing this review until the weather could test the repair. The fix was tested by 2 days of rain this past week. The problem ceiling-roof area survived the rain DRY for the first time in more than a year. Thanks.

Installation was thorough, and work completed quickly. Cleanup was great

At first, communication with the contractor didn't go smoothly (see March 12 review). But, Mr. Ortiz stopped by a day or two later (unexpectedly), and gave us an estimate, and explained in detail how how the work would be done, and what was included. Mr. Ortiz had pictures taken before and after the work was completed, and showed them to us after the project was completed. The plywood underneath the existing roof was warped. The crew applied new wood at no additional charge. They covered the parapets with roofing material to prevent water from seeping through the walls. There were some small tar spots that got on a window. Mr. Ortiz offered to clean them off, however I was able to fairly easily get them off with paper toweling and WD-40. Despite how things started off originally, ultimately I was happy with the quality, price and professionalism from Quality Roofing. I"m glad I reconsidered after talking with Mr. Ortiz.

Mr. Ortiz is a gem! He came and gave me the estimate the day I called. He asked to see where the leaks were coming through in my house. He went up on the roof and declared that I did NOT need a new roof; that he could repair my roof for $150.00. He did the job the very next day. He called when it was done and said he would mail me the bill. He reminded me to print out the coupon from Angie's List and to deduct that amount from the bill! He guarantees his repairs for a year and if my roof leaks within that year, he will fix it. A more unscrupulous roofer could have easily sold me a whole new roof. I will always use Quality Roofing and I highly recommend Mr. Ortiz!

Leroy came late last year after we noticed a leak. He identified the problem area and told us to wait and call him once we had more precipitation so that we knew for sure the repair was good. After last week's rain and snow there was no trace of the leak reoccurring. However we had a separate leak develop on a flat part of the roof. Leroy came by and repaired it the same day and we paid him for both jobs ($160). Our roof is getting old and Leroy also quoted us for a complete roof repair. He was very professional and explained exactly what would be done, the materials used, and how long it would take. I expect we will have him do that work this spring- we are very impressed with his service and his commitment to making sure things get done right.

Leroy Ortiz came out and brought several color samples of shingles and gave me an estimate to replace my roof. I had gotten 3 other estimates, 2 of which were lower, but decided to go with Leroy because of the excellent reviews he had gotten on Angie's List and because he was very knowledgeable and patient in answering all my questions in detail. The crew arrived early in the morning and spent the first day tearing off the two layers of shingles. They cleaned up all the debris before leaving and because it was very windy that evening, Leroy came out to make sure everything left on the roof was secure. The next morning the crew finished the job and cleaned up all the debris again and Leroy came out at the end of the day to inspect the work and make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. He and his crew were very professional (during the long two days they were here, no one asked to use my restroom which I appreciated) and Leroy did not ask for partial payment before starting the job, but said payment would be made at the end of the job when I was satisfied (who does that these days!). I am VERY pleased with the work done and will hire him again when I need any roof-related work done.

In September 2013 we hired Quality Roofing to remove an approximately 1500 square foot 37-year-old gabled tile roof and replace it with 3-tab black glass seal shingles. We requested 3-tab, because we wanted the roof to look as simple and lie as flat as possible. We also had the flat roof over a small patio torn off and replaced with a mopped fiberglass sheeting. In addition we had two skylights replaced and two roof vents added. The work was done the middle of October 2013. We found Mr. Leroy Ortiz, the owner, knowledgeable and accommodating. Our calls were always returned in a timely manner. When we expressed concern over the installation of some replaced fascia board, it was corrected the next morning. Any questions or concerns were dealt with immediately. His crew, especially his foreman, Renaldo, were on time, polite, friendly and very hard working. They did an excellent job of leaving the job site clean. Our house is contemporary in design and has two sections of flat roof and two sections of gable roof. On the street side and on the most obvious roof line the shingles weren?t laying flat. Mr. Ortiz suggested that we give the shingles time to get some sun exposure and settle. This never happened, and I had a call to Mr.Ortiz on my ?to do? list. But, before I could call him, he called me, asked about the look of the roof line, and when I told him it still wasn?t laying flat, told me that he wanted to come and correct the problem. Yesterday Quality Roofing was here and made the necessary correction. Mr. Ortiz cheerfully honored the Angie?s List discount that was being offered at that time. It is apparent to us that Mr. Ortiz makes every effort to do quality work at a fair price.

Excellent service! All the leaks were fixed and the job was completed quickly! I highly recommend this company for all your roofing needs. I'm a very happy customer and am very impressed by their work ethic and attention to details.

We never heard from him again. We found someone else to do our roof with a better, newer product and less cost.

I called Quality Roofing and spoke with Leroy Ortiz. He said he could see me tomorrow, but was not sure what time. Asked if I would be home and available. I said I would, but please call in the morning as to what time you would come. He said he would. No call, no show and that was it.

Leroy and his crew. Did an excellent job replacing my flat roof. They me the estimate that I was given. They honored their Angie's list coupon. The job was done in a few days. The only difficulty I had was with scheduling. It was difficult to get the day nailed down. I suspect that this was due to all of the rain Albuquerque had been getting. Otherwise it was a good experience and I would use them again in the future.

Very satisfied! I was under a time crunch and they completed all work in two days even with two weather delays. Very responsive and accommodating. They even came back a week later to repaint vents after I changed my mind about color at no extra charge. All for $1,000-$2,000 less than my other two bids. Very satisfied!

Mr. Ortiz was very professional. He explained every detail of the work involved. He discussed the type of roof I had and what I can expect of it in the future. He impressed me with his knowledge and work ethic. When I need an new roof I will call Mr. Ortiz to do the job.

Leroy asked plenty of questions about how we wanted the roof to look, including the color of metal trim. Quality Roofing did the work beautifully and quickly, with courtesy and attention to detail -- right down to repainting the new wood twice to get a perfect color match because the first paint didn't look right. Each shingle is nailed by hand, instead of with a nail gun. All scraps and debris were removed from the yard. We are delighted with the service and results. The neighbors were surprised at how soon the job was done! The roof looks wonderful. I wish I could give Quality Roofing an A+.

I was quite satisfied with them. I had never heard of them before, but they turned out to be cost effective, and a quality job with a transferrable warranty. I felt that the workers were happy to work for the owner.
