 + -1 moreIt turned out great! We used them right away. It was a little bit more than $600. What stood out the most was the friendliness of the guy that came, he just took the time and explain everything to us. They're open, they do give you a choice like if you want us to do the work or check with somebody else. We didn't check with anybody else. He was just that friendly and that open. He made us feel really comfortable.
Description of Work: They had to change the garage door opener itself. You know, they give you two remotes and then they put the keypad on the outside. When we called them out, it's because the garage door was not open at all. When he first looked at the door the beam was bent, so he straightened out the beam and then when he went to use the remote on the wall it was not working. He explained to us all about what happened to the remote. He asked how long have we had it, I told him we had it for years, so he said we needed a new one. He explained everything that was detailed into getting a new one and quoted us a price, plus his price for coming out to the house. They quoted us a price just to come out to check it, but once he came out he quoted us that same price for coming out and checking it. I don't remember how much that was. Then he quoted us the price for the garage door opener that we would have to put in.

 + -1 moreLorenzo was very timely on arriving at the house, had the rollers replaced and all moving parts oiled (even stopped the squeek in the springs) within 30 minutes. Even took a few extra minutes to adjust the garage door opener for a better fit open and closed (which wasn't part of the deal). Overall I would highly recommend Precision Garage Door. Very Professional and Prompt.

They also did a temporary fix so the door was usable. When they came back they replaced the door and did an excellent job. We are very pleased.

 + -1 moreMy garage door and opener is from the late 70's or early 80's. It works well, but the remote has been long ago lost. The service provider did perform a basic tune-up that did not require any removal of, or disconnection of any of the well operating mechanisms, and then suggested alternatives. The suggestions and ideals provided were sensible, and appreciated, versus just trying some things that may have rendered my old door and door opener non-functional, and ultimately costing more to fix. The provider also suggested I request a refund which was also appreciated versus me having to bring up this possibility myself. I would definitely use this provider again and recommend to others, even though I was unable to receive the full benefit of the service purchased. Not their fault; old house, old door.

 + -1 moreLorenzo Herrera did a great job. He was very polite and did a great job as far as I can tell as of this date. We called that morning and he was out in a short amount of time. We were very happy with that. We called Sears Garage Doors, or whatever the name is, first but no one answered so we called Precision and received immediate help. Sears did call back later in the day and they had been on a bunch of calls so apologized for not getting back to us right away. He said we paid more for Precision than they would have charged but I had just told him we had a spring put in so he never knew about all of the other repairs.

 + -1 moreGary Lang responded to our call on a Sunday morning and stopped by shortly afterward. After performing a lube and tune on the doors, we decided it would be best to replace both openers with new belt-drive ones. Gary installed both units in about an hour and replaced the electric eye safety stops as well. We now have quiet opening doors. At a later date, we'll call them to see about replacing the doors that are dented with new insulated doors.
Description of Work: We had Precision come out to service two garage doors at a house we just bought. The garage door openers were noisy, chain drive units and one lacked an electric eye safety stop.
