Precision Garage Door

,We have used Precision Overhead Garage Door Service three times and we have been extremely pleased with their service. I am only going to discuss the most recent service. The assembly that attaches the opener to the garage door was just about detached . We also noticed that the door was splitting in several places. We called Precision - they promptly answered the phone with a real person and they had a technician scheduled to come out the same day. The technician called before the scheduled apt and asked if it was okay to come early. Unreal!! We loved it! He arrived and took a look at our 16 year old door which was not in great shape and suggested we consider replacement. He gave us prices that seemed reasonable and we decided to go with the new door and also a new opener. They installed the door later the same day and the opener was installed the next day. What an improvement! The new door is a much better door than the one we had and the new opener is so quiet. We are super pleased with the whole upgrade and we were impressed with the professional, courteous workman - Max made the initial call and installed the opener and Ruben installed the garage door.

I signed up for the $59 garage door tune-up. When I called to schedule they set it up based on my schedule and sent an email with pictures of the service people and what to expect - wearing uniform and name tag and in titles truck. I was very pleased with this level of care. When he arrived, I gave him the certificate and he got right to work. My garage door was sticking and not closing and opening properly. After looking it over thoroughly he recommended a new one, which I had suspected all along since I had just purchased the house and found very old openers. He gave me two options, one with more work and one for just the opener. He gave me all the info I needed on both options and since the rollers were working fine I went with the first. He discounted $50 off the price since I came through Angies list. I was so pleased with the professionalism, the patience for all my questions and his care in showing me all the details of how my opener would work, how to set it from the door tab, how to lock it, setting up a code, how to use the openers and what all the buttons were for. He also told me that I had a pretty good garage door since they no longer provide so much insulation as my current one. When it is time for a new door, I will be sure to call them. I was exceedingly satisfied.

My appointment was 8 AM-10 AM. Max arrived at 8:05 AM ready to work. He checked everything about my door. He sold me a new garage door opener which he programmed at no charge. I am so happy to know my garage door will not fail me in the cold winter months ahead. What an efficient and pleasant young man, Max. Before my appointment Precision Garage door sent me a photo of my serviceman so I could be sure who was coming to my home. Thank you Precision Garage Doors for thinking of my safety.

They were very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and actually did some extra things that were above and beyond the scope of the original description of the sevice to be provided. Will use them for all garage door service in the future, and highly recommend.

It was great. Very professional. He didn't try to "find something wrong", which I greatly appreciated.

One evening, our garage door slammed shut and would not open. We called precision doors. The technician came out about 2 hours later. He was very nice. He was able to fix the door by replacing the rollers and springs in 1 hr. however, they charged twice as much as a reasonable fee should have been. Since it was 8 pm, I was not able to get other estimates. I would suggest to anyone needing this type of service to get other estimates before paying this companies price.

A perfect contractor!! Price, timeliness, quality of product and work! Highly recommended! Gary and Rubin are the best. And I am picky. Use these folks and you will be very happy.

Fine except price somewhat high.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went very well. He was very professional and he did a nice job. He had to put in some additional material and equipment so I paid an additional charge. He did everything on the agreement

Gary was professional and did quick work. My garage door would only open 1/3 of the way. I had to manually open it to get the car out and prop it open using a screw driver. Gary said the master systems put in the homes in my area are old and going out and he could not repair mine. He offered that I could raise it manually, which wasn't safe or he could put in the high efficient torsion spring system for a discounted price of $525 for one larger spring or $642 for two smaller ones. This included a new rail and brackets and rollers. All in all the door works well and I have a lifetime transferable warranty, which I guess is good. The price was very steep in my opinion but due to safety and security (the door had no manual locking system) I felt I had no choice but to pay it. I would have loved to have had more time to price compare but the door was not opening. I could have just left it until i found a better deal but couldn't lock it. Gary suggested the new opener too, the pds800 but my craftsman works just fine and it is another $400 plus.... Not a hard seller, he tells you what he has and the price and you decide.

Tech showed up on time & started install just after 4 pm. He quoted me 30-45 minutes to complete the job. Once new sprocket assembly was installed, it was EXTREMELY loud when the garage door was descending. He kept trying to diagnose what went wrong. After 2 hours (now 6 pm), I suggested maybe the part was defective or installed incorrectly. He called another tech who told him NOT to replace the part that had just been installed. Another hour goes by... It's now 7 pm. Finally, the tech he had been calling had to come out and do the job himself - replacing the just installed sprocket assembly with a new one. That one worked fine, but it was 8 pm when they finally left. FOUR HOURS to replace a part that the original tech told me would take him 30-45 minutes is completely unacceptable. The original tech didn't give up and leave me without a functional garage door, (although he suggested that on more then one occasion), but they wasted an additional 3 hours of my time waiting for them to do a satisfactory job on a relatively routine task.

Technician was very punctual, and service was quick. He promised it would take 45 minutes, and it took about 45 minutes. He also had to deal with removing springs that had been painted over as well. A bit expensive, but well worth it considering I didn't want to deal with the hazards associated with springs under tension.

My opener was intermittent and when the tech came out the opener was working. He didn't do any diagnostics at all except to run the door up and down a few times and add a stiffening bolt to the bracket. His main interest was to sell me an overpriced new opener

The work was professional. The costs was exorbitant and the lifetime guarantee has not much meeting to a 78 year old person. After the garage door work was completed I am trapped into having them to do any future work since their guarantee would be voided if I used another repair service.

I cannot speak as to the cost, because this was done as part of my home insurance so I only paid the $60 copay. The service was excellent. I had an appointment between 8am and 10am and the technician, Adam Noriega called me at 8:10am to tell me he was on his way and he arrived at 8:30am. It took him just a few minutes to determine the opener needed to be replaced. It took about 20 minutes on the phone to get the authorization from the insurance company to replace the opener. He got right to removing the old opener and installing the new one. He put in a new opener with a belt instead of a chain so it is much quieter. It took about 45 minutes for him to complete everything. He then went over the controls with my wife and me. He cleaned up completely. I would highly recommend Adam and Precision Garage Doors.

We called three garage door vendors for estimates, all were very prompt and professional. We have bedrooms above our garage, so having quiet doors and openers was a high priority. We found Precision's to be the quietest. Our garage doors also needed to open with low overhead clearance because of a gas line across the front ceiling of the garage, which Precision handled well and without added cost. We were quite happy doing business with Precision. Precision was one of the more expensive estimates we had, but their standard package was comparable to high-end lines from other vendors. Time from estimate to install was about 5 weeks, a bit longer than typical because we ordered door colors/sizes that were not in stock, and we had intervening holidays.

There was a problem with the bracket on my mom's garage door opener. I call precision to come out and take a look at it and see if it could be shored up or fixed. The tech advised the garage door opener should be replaced because it was older. However there was nothing wrong with the garage door opener simply the bracket holding the drive chain in place. The tech was punctual and professional and did a good job. the main reason I would rate this company a C is because they pushed their precision garage door opener instead of an aftermarket like genie or other like product. I felt for the money that was paid it was not a good bargain. The unit that was install to replace the old garage door opener did not even include a keypad access. I thought the precision garage door unit was overpriced. Once again though the service was as expected.

Outrageous price for average workmanship.

We have used Precision Door several times and found them to be prompt, efficient, and easy to work with.

Overall it was an excellent experience. We were given a time window between 10 and noon. The tech called at about 9:30 and said he was on his way, with an ETA of about 30 minutes. He arrived at 10:05 (it should be noted that we live semi-rurally, in the East Mountains - not the easiest place to find). The work (see above) took somewhere between 45 minutes and an hour - probably would have been a bit less except for my questions, which he answered readily, and with detail. He was personable and very knowledgeable. There were several junctures where he could have tried to do a little pressure up-sell (e.g., the spring, my 16 year old opener), but he only let me know about the availability of hardware/services. The door now runs observably more smoothly, and there is now virtually no track/roller noise (the rollers really are "super quiet"), only the opener, which seems to be working less to accomplish the job (makes sense, no?) - nowhere near the racket the 20 plus year old rollers and 16 year old opener made previously. The tech asked if I wanted the old rollers, noting that they recycle through a scrap metal processor - I said, "Recycling is good."

Garage door would not open with or without a remote. I could not get my car out of the garage. Called the company Saturday morning and got an appointment the same day. The technician called and arrived early. Gary went over the problem and gave me estimates. Said the parts had a lifetime guarantee. I opted for the overhaul and a new door opener. Pricey but well worth it. The door opens and closes quietly now. I am happy. Gary answered all my questions and concerns satisfactorly and in a professional manner. I recommend this company highly.

I had purchased the Garage Door Inspection through Angie's List in October with Precision Overhead Door Services and had been very satisfied with their performance. The morning of Jan 15, 2013 when my husband tried to open the garage door to go to work it was frozen to the ground and the attachment that went to the mechanism that opened the door had ripped completely out of the door. I call Precision Door around 8:00 AM and they scheduled someone to come to our house between 9 and 11AM that day - unreal! I had a call from the service person around 8:30 AM saying they were on their way. They arrived around 9AM, unstuck the frozen door, helped me put salt down so the area under the garage door would not freeze again and repaired the attachment to the door and opener. Great service, very professional and prompt. I will definitely call Precision Door in the future.

It was a wonderful experience. The technician was prompt, efficient and courteous. After he was finished, it was like we had new garage doors.

Garage door at my rental house wouldn't open with, or without automatic opener. I know there were serious issues with both the door and the opener which hadn't functioned correctly for years. Making the appointment was easy and they came out first thing the next morning. Gary Lang was the technician. He was prompt, knowlegable, helpful, courteous and professional. He showed me the parts that needed to be replaced and explained the problems and needed repairs very well in a way I could understand. Since the door obviously needed a lot of work I elected to have it overhauled. The quoted price seemed reasonable for the all the work he did and the parts he replaced. The door now opens more easily and quietly than I would have imagined. I demand high quality work and Gary and Precision delivered.

On time, courteous, professional. I would certainly call Precision Garage Doors again.
