Precision Garage Door

They do a very good job. I don't think they are all totally knowledgeable, and their prices are a bit high, but they do a good job.

I didn't grade the price because I hadn't gotten other estimates.

They were very professional, arrived on time and did a great job.

My garage tune-up and seal was great. I was offered good advice. I will call them for future jobs!

Rudy arrived right on time. He went over everything with me and I decided to replace all the worn-out materials (21 years old). He explained the door opener Precision Doors uses and all the warrentees that applied to the materials and equipment. Rudy did a wonderful job and was finished with everything in about 1.5 hours. Rudy was a Gentleman and I appreciated his professionalism. I difinately recommend Precision Garage Doors to anyone.

Precision Garage Door installed a new garage door opener about two months ago. The service was beyond excellent. My old door opener failed so I called for an appointment and they sent a technician out the same day. He advised replacing the old door opener, which was rather old and very noisy. I agreed and he put in the new one right away. Yesterday, I tried opening the garage door with the opener and it would not budge. I tried the manual override and the door still would not move. I called Precision on the off chance that they would be answering their phone on New Year's Day and they answered! A technician was available to come by today. He not only was prompt, but was available early. He found and fixed the problem right away and did not charge anything for the service call.

The technician was very nice and professional and explained everything. We were disappointed that the company was unwilling to apply the $69 we had paid for the big deal for the tune up towards the unit replacement costs.

Craig was exceedingly professional and helpful, giving us options and advice, and trying to find the most cost effective solution for us vs. warranty coverage. He even did a light tune-up on our other door for no charge, and programmed our HomeLink in our car for both the new door they installed and the old door they didn't install. The absolute best service you could hope for; above and beyond. The total cost was more than I was hoping, but I don't feel I was overcharged.

It was pretty eye opening to see the door start to fall showing the springs weren't doing much at all. Since the springs didn't have any adjustment left (and were the original ones - 12 yrs old), he recommended to replace them. He was able to replace them right there without making another appointment. Gary explained what he was doing the whole time and did a great job, quickly. ||I was already concerned about the door because of noisy bearings on the door, but had no idea the springs were so bad. Thanks to the Angie's list deal and Precision Garage Door's expertise, I saved myself costly garage door repairs if the springs had failed. My door opener's life has been extended because it doesn't have to work so hard now to open the door. Thanks Precision Garage Door!

They did a good job. They were quick and efficient and everyone I talked to was pleasant.

The technician, Rudy, was great! Personable, professional - couldn't ask for a better person to represent the company. He is excellent! He recommended replacing rollers on our 24-year-old door - seemed reasonable - so the door would glide smoothly in the tracks and I was hoping for less noisy operation. One HUGE negative is the cost of roller replacement is terribly overpriced. It took him less than 15 minutes to replace them and the 10 rollers would have cost me only about $50 for parts (retail!) - and I bet I could have done that myself. (I replaced the gasket myself on the bottom of the door last summer...) So there is a HUGE markup on that service. In fact, I went back to the garage shortly after agreeing to that replacement and was going to tell him I changed my mind. But he had already completed the change-out of the rollers!! This was something I could have done myself. I should have known that the Angie's list "deal" would most certainly open the door to sell the consumer additional product/work in order to compensate for the reduced price offered. MY MISTAKE - and I regret my initial decision - very much! Rudy tried to help me feel better about it all by saying the new rollers would extend the life of the motor, etc. (But it didn't reduce the noise much at all since most of the noise is from the motor.) All probably true. But I'm still out way too much $ for that particular service. Just be aware - that any "deal" offered on Angie's list is an opportunity for the providers to sell additional services. In the future, I certainly will think it through very carefully before agreeing to anything beyond the 'deal' offered by anyone on Angie's list.

Our prior experience with Precision Garage Doors was years ago and left us feeling we could do without their services. When I called to schedule a technician to come out because three of our remotes were not working, everything started to look really good. The young woman who answered the phone and scheduled the technician was most professional and polite, the technician (Rudy) was excellent in that he listened to my story of our past experience and although he had nothing to do with it, apologized for the company several times. He replaced two of the remotes, fixed the third and left me feeling much better about Precision. He even arrived early as he had a prior job just two blocks away. Rudy is definitely an asset to Precision.

All perfect prompt courteous will use yearly.

Gary showed up on time after calling about 15 minutes prior to appointment time to let me know he was enroute. He introduced himself and asked what was going on pertaining the door. He listened to me without interruption, then went on to check everything. He also looked at our second door (which we don't use), and told me what he'd recommend should we decide to put an opener on it. While he did describe the various products offered, he did not press me or give me a hard sell. I stayed with him the entire time he was here just trying to learn something. He explained every step, and what I should look for in terms of future possible problems and maintenance I could perform. While I had set aside two hours for the appointment, he was here and gone in less than an hour. His professionalism was outstanding. I will definitely call Precision Door for future maintenance and repairs.

They were very courteous, completed the work quickly and efficiently. Provided several options as to the work to be done. All work had a lifetime warranty. It was like I had a new garage door when they were finished. Would highly recommend them.

The service was great. They came out the next day. He made all the changes, tested and cleaned the rails. It seemed to be very fast.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it did not go well because they told us we needed to replace the door so we did not get any utility out of the $59 coupon. They told us it would cost about $1,211 for the new garage door. They were punctual. I don't plan to use them because of the price of the new door.

Went well. Seemed like there might have been some upwell going on, but I can't say for sure. Door is about 10 years old and may just have needed that much love, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

This is a very professinal company. I explained our need and he proceeded with the work and did not try any hard sell or scare tactics as I have encountered with many contractors since I turned 60. I will use them again and I recommend them without hesitation. What he did do was show me and explain what was needed and why. I truly appreciate that.
