Gary was the serviceman and he made adjustments, which made the door work smoother and quieter. He also explained the condition of the coil springs and their need for replacement probably within 6 months or so. It is an oversized door, and Gary explained the length of service for the springs and how they work in detail. He was very polite and professional and obviously knew his stuff.

Very responsive. Gary Lang was professional and polite and explained the issues very well. He recommended 2 options which he felt were necessary , if not now, in the near future. Because I am not the homeowner, I chose to not replace the unit at this time but Gary gave me the information I needed to pass along to my landlord. He did not pressure me at all and made me feel like I could call him again if I needed anything in the future, which I appreciated.

The cables snapped on our garage door the previous day leaving us unable to open or use our garage. Our three calls to our usual (former!) garage door service company went unreturned for 24 hours, so we decided to try someone else. Within 3 minutes of calllng Precision, we had a same-day Sunday appointment scheduled for just 3 hours later. The technician was actually able to come 2 hours early, assess our door, provide service repair options with detailed explanations and price breakdown, complete all work, and walk us through our new system in 1 hour 45 minutes. With the new dual spring system our new garage door is so quiet you can barely hear it open. The new Precision system also has impressive security features lacking in standard commercial units. We could not be more pleased with the service Gary provided, the quality and security of the finished product, and, most importantly, Precision's responsiveness. We will be using Precision from now on and highly recommend them to anyone looking for garage door repair/replacement.

They did a good job overall. One technician came out and it took him about 4 hours. The coil had snapped and the motor was minimum quality; so he had to do a full installation of a new system.

Precision Door Service made visit to evaluate damaged door and give us two estimates: one for an immediate fix involving only replacing a panel and some other minor attachments, while the other estimate was for a complete door, which the representative recommended for overall integrity of the door and opener. We chose the second option. They estimated that it would take three weeks to get the custom door made and delivered. Their estimate was exactly met when they installed the door three weeks later. Both employees explained exactly what they were doing and answered all our questions. Their installed door has operated perfectly since they left.

They did a great job. It went great. They did a good job and that was a few years ago. They're kind of expensive.

We needed to replace our garage doors. We went on line searched Angie's List. We continued our research by going to individual sites and we narrowed it all down to Precision Garage Doors. Rudy, who was very knowledgable, came to our house and explained and showed us all that we requested. the doors were ordered. A few weeks later, Craig and Ruben arrived at our scheduled installation date and time and began the whole process. I was pleased with the organization of how the old doors were neatly taken apart and moved to their truck. Then came the best part! Watching how our new doors and opener were being installed. Here again it was all accomplished in an organized way. Our doors are so fantastic and have been working so well, that I forgot to write my review! Everything has been running so smoothly. UPDATE: Precision Garage Door monitors Angie's list and was very responsive when my experience was brought to their attention. They even listened to the call ("These calls may be monitored for quality assurance" actually happened) between the person I spoke to and myself. Turns out that they do work on single piece doors. They called and asked if I still wanted to schedule the door service. They came out on Saturday and lubed the door and even quickly found the source of the racket it has been making. Now the door is quieter than it has ever been. They even sent me a quote so I could see how much it would be to upgrade to a door with higher clearance and insulation. I'm very happy with the service. I put three dates in with the purchase. I receive a message to "Please call us at 243-6692 to schedule service at your convenience." I call them and have to explain 3 times that my garage door swings out and they tell me they can't service that type of door. That is the door style used in my entire neighborhood.

I purchased a Big Deal for garage door maintenance. I called Precision Garage Door and scheduled my appointment. Five minutes later, I received an email telling me who my technician would be including a picture. Rudy was scheduled to arrive between 12 and 2. He called around 11 to say he was ahead of schedule and ask if he could come earlier. He was there within 15 minutes of the phone call and got straight to work. Within minutes, Rudy realized that my door mechanism was seriously compromised and needed replacement. He quoted me a price and was willing to leave and let me think it over or do the work then and there. Perhaps I should have shopped around at that point, but Rudy was there and had all the equipment and parts to do the repair so I moved ahead. Rudy replaced the entire mechanism inside 40 minutes and it functions perfectly. Rudy was polite, communicative, and highly efficient. While I may not be pleased about having to unexpectedly shell out $700 to fix my garage door, I could not be happier with Rudy and the service provided by Precision Garage Door. I suspect that had I shopped around, I could have found a better price, but for this level of service and professionalism, I'm willing to pay a premium.

The coupon said the company would likely not be able to get to me until next week. Instead they were able to schedule me much faster (a pleasant surprise). The technician Gary was right on time, and even called ahead to let me know he was on his way. The initial inspection went quickly, and he was able to give a full range of options on how to repair my door. I initially purchased a "balance and lubricate" service, expecting to have to schedule a second appointment to repair the rest of the issues we had. Instead, Gary was able to rebuild my door (rollers, springs, guides, etc), did a safety check on my guide supports, and checked the opener for issues, all within 90 minutes of arriving. He was professional, neat, courteous, and quick to provide details on what he was doing and what else his team could do if I wanted. Very happy with the results and would definitely refer friends/neighbors to this company.

The service was performed thoroughly and efficiently. I had purchased the garage door opener and life-time rollers previously from Precision Garage Door. I have been very happy with the opener. It is very quiet, and I have had no issues with it since I purchased it. I have been a customer of Precision Garage Door for four years, and have been very happy with the service I have received from them.

It went extremely well. The technician called to tell me he was coming. He arrived exactly when he said he would. He did an inspection of the door and then gave his recommendations. He suggested both new rollers and a new opener. He explained why he recommended these but also stated that they didn't have to be done right away. I choose not to make these upgrades and he was fine with that and proceeded to install the wireless entry keyboard. After the installation, he clearly explained to me how to use and how to set up my own code. He gave me his card so I could call him if I had any additional questions. I will definitely call Precision Door when I need any additional work done on my garage door or opener.

The service turned out really great. They contacted me the next day and they scheduled that next week. I was pleased with them and I would use them again. The service was well worth the cost of the Big Deal.

It went well. They did very little for the tune -up. They said I needed rollers but it was pricey and I didn’t have an opportunity to look at prices. They were on time and very courteous.

The technician called me to notify that he would be a little early. I had asked the company to do a tuneup on the door (which he actually did not do). Instead he took a minute to look at the door and told me that I had a broken spring. The price? $699 (with a lifetime guarantee. ) This seemed absurdly high--I had just replace one in a rental house for $275. In talking with another company (also on Angie's list--Which I will review when the work is done) I learned that this company 'oversells' its customers. While it is true that the unit was guaranteed 'for life', the price of the second company for a 30,000 cycle unit (installed) was half the price. This assumes that one would replace the spring at least once using the same company. Also, Precision Garage Door demanded that I purchase their service 'through' Angies list'. This was new to me. Consequently, I called Angies list and discovered that replacement of a garage door spring was not on the 'buy' list on file at its office. Either the Precision Door representative was misinformed, or the company is not honoring its advertisement in Angie's List Magazine.

Servicemen arrived right on time both for the estimate and the installation. The workers installing the door were very professional and very friendly. They did a wonderful job and did not leave a mess. They thoroughly explained the new system to me. Would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Reconditioned garage door and replaced opener. Had some issues with the opener and Precision came out and replaced it (per opener lifetime warranty). No hassle. very responsive.

Cost of repair was more than expected

They were wonderful. I am real happy. It was all very good. The technician was very knowledgeable and quick. I was pleased with what he did. It works really well.

The provider arrived on time, though was not able to make the original appointment. While he did text me and call to request a reschedule, I had already left work and so I then had to leave work early a second time on the following day, for the rescheduled appointment. The technician examined the garage door system quite thoroughly, then advised me to replace the molding installation (which is aging normally but fully in tact, and continuing to provide a good seal at this time). In fact, that material was installed only ten years prior, and being out of the sun, has not weathered substantially at this time. His recommended solution was to replace the door seals now, at a price of just under $300. This I believe to be a hasty and costly choice at this point in the material's age. As said, all is in working order and nothing is yet worn out in the seals. To the positive regarding the sale of additional services during the inpection, he acknowledged that the tractor motor on the garage door system is in good shape and did not pressure any service on that unit in particular. I would like to emphasize however that this company was professional in their contact with me, and for all intents and purposes, struck me as competent and knowledgable about garage doors. .

It cost me $70, but the value of the work they did was about $680. The work they did was great and was performed perfectly. The door now works great. Even if I had to pay out of pocket for this service I would have rated their price as excellent. The technician was actually 15 minutes early.

The service was awesome. William called prior to showing up, just to let me know he was on the way. He was extremely professional and courteous. Provided me with information on possible future maintenance needed, but didn't push to schedule or get it done right away, just gave me the honest answers. I will be using them for future work and recommending them to my neighbors.

I asked Gary it was OK to watch him work; he had no objection. Gary was totally professional. It was obvious that he knew exactly what needed to be done. It was fascinating to watch one person do a job that I expected would require two people. We have a lot of features with the new opener which were thoroughly explained to us. Gary was meticulous in his work and made sure that everything worked perfectly before he accepted payment and left. This company offers 24/7 service at no additional charge. That was very important to us.

Was about $650, however, the garage door works very well now. Precision warrantied the garage door for life and any future service calls on this door will be at no charge. The service tech was prompt, courteous, and communicated well with the elderly homeowner. Price seemed a bit high, however, I didn't have anything to compare it to, so it may have been competitive. The professionalism of the service tech and the willingness to warranty the door for life was worth it. Would use them again without hesitation.
