Positive Energy quickly responded to my initial inquiry. They worked with us to find the right layout and equipment to address all of our questions and concerns. Our sales rep made every effort to answer our questions and provide supporting documentation -- easily countering arguments made by a competing solar provider. Start of work was slightly delayed while the crew finished an unusually large and complex project. Once the work started it proceeded smoothly and was carried out by a very polite, professional, and efficient crew. Coordination with local govt and utility reps was spot-on. A couple of minor glitches were addressed quickly. We were given TWO, hands-on walk-throughs of the system and provided with a detailed Owner's Manual for the system that addresses everything from tax credits, to system maintenance and reading our electric bill. When our first electric bill arrived and did not seem correct to us, the Positive Energy project manager offered to check the bill. He found two major errors, and immediately got in contact with the utility company on our behalf to get the errors corrected. We now have a PV system which looks better than we expected (i.e. less visible panels, very neat wiring) and works better than we expected (i.e. greater output than Positive Energy's "conservative" estimate). It has been a totally positive experience -- the credit for which is owed to Positive Energy.

I actually did not go with them but they gave me a quote. Their presentation was very thorough. The salesperson answers all my questions. In the whole process at that time I was very busy so I didn't have the chance to meet with him so he sends emails and stuff and he is very quick in answering all of my questions. He actually did give some references to go to on the various products and tell me what product may interest me. He is very punctual. Yes, I would consider using them in the future.

Randy was great. He was knowledgeable and inspired confidence. He arrived promptly with the proper tools for measuring the sun on my property. Although his price was similar to another company's, the power production was 40% less. This made it uneconomical to go with Positive Energy.

The install crew was awesome. Tanya and Anthony kept me up to speed on all the details as the project progressed. Very professional and downright nice to deal with. Did I mention the extensive electrical work they did? And it's a beautiful, clean finished product. These guys are good. I highly recommend them. Once all the inspections were complete and we were able to turn the system on, it just worked. On a good sunny day the system generates over 100kWh of power.

I called around to various solar companies and Mark Westbrock was the only person I talked to who was genuinely passionate about the environment and solar energy. I trusted him immediately, and the trust paid off. He took time explaining the process to us and driving us around to see other job sites before we bought, then he recommended a great roofer, and installed the panels right on schedule. He provided us with a thick binder explaining everything. The work site was cleaned up so we couldn't even tell anyone had been working at our house. The service personnel were professional, respectful, and just nice. Since then I have had questions and someone at Positive Solar immediately helps me. I highly recommend Positive Energy Solar.

Our only disappointment was related to access onto our lot. We live in a rural part of Santa Fe county and asked that PE's installers minimize vehicle trips across our lot from the road to the actual PVS site in order to lessen the impact on natural ground cover. We were dismayed when one installer drove out and then back on the lot in order to buy lunch; the vegetation here is fragile and a single trip like this does considerable damage to it. This damage could have been avoided by PE instructing the employee to bring his lunch with him or to leave a vehicle on the road and walk 100 yards to it. We are not novices and are well acquainted with what we could expect on the construction site because we built to whole house ourselves.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. We exchanged some prelim information via email so only one site visit was needed to finish the assessment, bid, and decision making. Things proceeded according to schedule, and the quality of the work was first rate. They were very well organized on all paperwork (e.g., getting building permit; arranging with electric utility). (The Taos part of the Positive Energy team made the bid and did the installation, with the Santa Fe part of the team handling much of the legal paperwork. I live on the north edge of Santa Fe County. )

Everything went smoothly. Some of the inspection by the county or state held up the start-up a few days.

From the initial consultation to the installation ~ (including the inspection from El Paso Electric and the City of Las Cruces) ~ we truly enjoyed all aspects of the process. The solar technicians of POSITIVE ENERGY are professional, extremely neat and always on time. All the required paper work was filled out by Mark, for our Federal/State refunds, along with the information regarding our monitoring system ~ we have nothing to do but enjoy our system and collect money from El Paso Electric.
