This happened 2-3 years ago but I remain irritated especially since I just spent $4000 to correct one of the problems. At the time on completion I tried to work with the company but found rude customer service, actually no real customer service. The designer would not return calls. their attempts to correct problems were pittiful. I made a long report to BBB. BBBs final response was they were sorry but I had only one recourse which would be to sue. I am not into that kind of action. I really wish I had angies list ahead of time. What went wrong? The trucks tore up the rock side yard and the quote was "we're sorry we have to charge you to repair it", Two rose bushes were killed and they tried to deny then replaced them grudgingly. several plants died. they replaced grudgingly and after much rudeness. two of the plants were absolutely covered with aphids-yes easily fixed. the choice of plants was rushed and abrupt. the 1st big rain storm washed out an improperly planned path way. They came twice without notice and actually had to force their way into the yard as I was not home. I believe the worst thing was the woman who takes phone calls and the man who designed the project. these would be easily corrected but they obviously have no interest in customer satisfaction.

I called the company after I discovered the shortage. At first, they denied that they sold gravel by the yard, and noted that the term "yard" was not on the reciept. When I stated that they quoted the price by yard on the phone and that "3 cubic yards" is what I requested in person, they changed their story and said that a "yard" was an amount that would cover 100 square feet to a depth of 2 inches. You can do the math - that is only 62% of a cubic yard. They refused to honor their contract, and refused even to waive a delivery fee even when I offer to pay for additional gravel. Note that as of November 2009, this company has an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau, which unfortunately I only looked up after the fact.

This occured several years ago. I have not been happy about it since, I finally decided to make a posting. This was a large job taking several weeks to completely redo my back yard. The design was inflexible, partly our fault since we trusted the designer to present all options and didn't investigate options on our own. The quality of the work mediocore (rock wall installation looked nice, but almost immediately rocks began to fall off and we continue to loose several a year). A portion of a separate cinder block wall had to be replaced. The grout lines were messy and didn't match the existing portion. New turf has deep divets though we stayed off of it as instructed till it was "set". The patio had an 6-8 inch drop to the ground on one side that I specifically asked be made as even as possible with the patio, for safety if nothing else. I was told that it would be raised, even showed the point to which it would be raised. It was never raised. Also specifically asked for some type of shrub that would provide privacy as the trees had been removed. These little shrubs that grow about 2 inches a year were planted, cute but not at all what we wanted. We were told we "would be taken care of from here on out, we'll take care of you" but when we called with a problem a year later about the sprinkler system, we were told that "we didn't touch that part so we are not responsible". We learned a lot from this project. We were naive and we wanted to be good customers, make payments on time (we did) and didn't want to come across as too demanding. We should have withheld the final payment until the problems were corrected to our satisfaction.I even provided gatorade, soda, and water on a daily basis to a large crew for the entire length of the project thinking that would somehow affect the quality of the work. Subsequently, we hired another firm (for about $6,500.00) to correct most of the issues. They were surprised at the poor quality of work since the previous company had a good reputation.

Ordered a half cord of oak and the lady who took the order was very professional and offered a discounted rate. Arranged next day service and the wood was promptly delivered on time by a very professional and courteous driver. He stacked it neatly for an extra $25. The wood is well seasoned and burns very long and hot without popping and crackling. The only negative was that the back office forgot to apply the discount to the final bill but it was quickly corrected. Overall, a very positive experience and I would most certainly order wood from them again.

We had a completed design so they just had to execute the design. Responsiveness, professionalism was great until we made the final payment. They left with the check and what they call a "Saturday" order. This is work to be done after the last day with a full crew. When they left we had a dead shrub (which was dead when they planted it), a dying tree, and the water feature cord exposed. A month went by without any word from them even though we left multiple voicemail messages. When we finally got a call back we were told that they didn't have a phone number for us because they had already "archived" our files. We were also told that we should not have been calling the rep we had worked with for months -- instead should have called the main office -- which had never been communicated to us. When they finally came out to finish the job, they brought a completely different species of tree to replace the dying one -- and it was not even the same size. We refused to take it and asked that they order the correct tree. Three weeks later they brought the new tree -- correct species, but smaller than what we paid for. We were told that the cost difference was minimal, but never did they agree to compensate us in any way. We ended up having to replace two more plants on our own. During this 6-8 weeks we asked several times that Pete (the owner) give us a call -- to this day he never has. The female office staff was rude and almost insulting. Our "design" person never returned any of our calls after he walked out with the check. On a good note, the actual crew and crew supervisor who came out to do the work were great. Friendly, professional, competent, and they worked really hard the entire time they were here. From the other posts, they seem fine for small jobs, but not very organized when it comes to larger scoped jobs. For the amount of money we spent (over $10,000), it was not worth the hassle. We booked early because we had upcoming events at our house -- several of which we ended up hosting with dead tree and shrubs. If you use them, don't make the final payment until "all" the work is completed. No advice on how to escalate issues -- you need to talk to the office staff to leave the message and in our case they were a big part of the problem so not sure if Pete received our messages or not.

It went great. I liked that he did everything we agreed on and he stuck to the contact. The people that came out to do the job were very nice and proficient. They were nice people. They worked with me. They provided everything that they had promised in the contract and I am very happy with the results.

Terrible....they were rude,lazy and never followed up to schedule any work.

They delivered the wood on the day we requested and it was easy to order and pay. The gentleman who delivered the wood was friendly and professional.

THEY HAD A GREAT RECOMMENDATION FROM ALL OF MY FRIENDS. I HAD THEM CHECKED OUT ALSO AND THEY CAME OUT WITH THE BEST RATINGS EVERYWHERE I LOOKED. THEY DID VERY GOOD WORK.

THEY WERE ACTUALLY VERY QUICK AND EFFICIENT. THEY FINISHED A TWO DAY JOB IN ONE DAY, WHICH DEFINITELY SHOCKED ME. THEY WERE PRETTY FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS.

THEY GOT STRAIGHT TO WORK AND THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL ABOUT WHAT I WANTED DONE. OVERALL, THEY DID EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED. THEY MADE IT LOOK AWESOME.

I LIKED THE FACT THAT WHEN I CALLED TO GET AN ESTIMATE, THEY RETURNED MY CALL RIGHT AWAY. OVERALL, I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT THE PUNCTUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM WAS WHAT I ENJOYED THE MOST.

THEY WERE GREAT. THEY GOT THE JOB DONE RIGHT AWAY. THEY WERE POLITE TO ME WHILE AT MY HOME AND NONE OF MY OUTSIDE MATERIALS WERE BOTHERED WHILE THEY WERE WORKING. THEY MADE SURE ALL THEIR TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT WAS PICKED UP ALSO.

I ASKED THEM TO START LAST OCTOBER. NOW IT'S JULY AND WE ARE STILL CLEANING UP THEIR MESS. EVERYTHING WAS HORRIBLE. THEY DIDN'T EVEN PLANT THE TWO JUNIPER SHRUBS I ORDERED FOR MY YARD.
