I went to MWSI to purchase upgrades for my wood burning stove chimney cap because a chimney "inspector" said that it was unsafe to use as installed. The wood burning stove, which is a Country Brand fireplace insert, has worked exceptionally well over the past eight years, and I have swept the chimney regularly myself during that entire time. I only needed an inspection to make sure that I was cleaning it correctly and that there were no issues with the chimney liner, so I called a company from a flyer I received in the mail from ValuePak. Mary Watson at MWSI took the time to talk with me at length about my situation, and explained to me that I did NOT need the expensive upgrades that the "inspector" recommended. Instead of wasting hundreds of dollars on unnecessary equipment, I ended up spending ZERO dollars and regained my peace of mind. I have used the stove for almost a month now, with no problems or issues. The lesson I learned from this is 1) don't assume that all chimney companies in town are reputable -- some just want to sucker you out of money while offering a substantial discount on "inspection" services, and 2) Mountain West Sales (and Mary Watson) are a highly reliable and professional source of help for all things stove-related. Thank you, MWSI, and I will always rely on your services for the future!

We looked around the display area, took pictures of the available units and waited for one of the sales persons to at least acknowledge us. Neither one so much as said hello we will be with you. They completely ignored us. If this is the customer service one gets before the sale, I can't imagine what it would be like after the sale. I didn't expect them to leave their customers but only to acknowledge that we were there and perhaps invite us to look around until they finished with their current customers.

Went great. Fixed the pressure for the gas line to insure a correct ingnition.

Mountain West Sales was recommended to us by our realtor and also from another source. We called and spoke with General Manager, Mark. He came out the next day. We was very prompt, efficient, knowledgeable and helped us with understanding the operation of our gas fireplaces. We will not hesitate to use them in the future and recommend them for prompt, efficient service.

When I went to look at the fireplace I could have fell over; the fire box looked liked I went down to Home Depot and bought a box and scooted it into place. I could see clearly a large label on the left side of the firebox and the right side had wires or cords exposed, just hanging out. I was shocked! I called and was told that they would come look at it. Bart came back with a can of black spray paint and sprayed the label so I could not see it and tucked the wires in so I could not see them-why wasn't this done before? After Bart left there was residue of black paint all around the floor. Then the glass doors would not open and close, they came back and fixed them. In the end I hired a contractor to place tile around the fireplace to cover up the space between the firebox and the wall. I'm upset with this company because they specialize in firplaces. I was told the firebox I was to purchase would fit, it really didn't. I felt the way the fireplace was left was so unprofessional. They didn't seem to feel bad about the sloppy work and there was never a mention of a refund. I'm sorry to say I would not use this company again.

An appointment was made for a service call within two days of the call. The technician (Mark) arrived 15 minutes early, quickly diagnosed and repaired the unit. He also provided advice on how to avoid the problem in the future (by not shutting off the gas supply while the fireplace is operating).
