The two ladies showed up with a dust broom, duster and a couple of rags. One, a very short lady, started to clean the guest room bath with her rag but could only reach the bottom 1/4th. I ask if she needed a step ladder and when I came back from getting the step ladder she was up on the granite countertop. I got her down before she broke the top and gave her the ladder. They did went over part of the tile floor with a dust mop and then place a damp rag on the dust mop and rand around the furniture without even moving the dining room chairs. Dusting was hit and miss and the wiping down the base boards that they had been contracted to do happened sportily. Never have we had such poor quality house keeping services. After they left my wife spent mort time cleaning than the two of them together. The young ladies were nice enough. just unskilled and/or trained in the service the were sent to preform.

So I bought a deal on line with this company almost a year ago. It was for two 4 four cleanings with 2 maids. I thought this would be wonderful. I called and the young lady on the phone said she could squeeze me in but that they had been very busy because of the online deal. So the day came of my first cleaning came hours went by with no one showing up. I called the company and was told that they had every intention of showing up to my home but could get there as late as 5 pm to start cleaning. I felt this was very late and was not what the young lady on the phone said but I just decided to wait. No one ever showed. I called the next day and they said there had been a mix up, the girls were supposed to come and she was not sure why they had not. So again she said she would figure something out. This time I got smart and called the day before my appointment just to make sure that everything was set. All of a sudden there is a very rude guy answering the phone. He says the young lady has been fired for over booking people and for just being stupid (his words not mine). He said that because of her mistakes that he would not be able to get me an appointment for over a month. So I took what I could get. Finally we got our first house cleaning. It was an ok cleaning not the best but since I had at this point never hired a housecleaning service before I really did not know if they did a ok job or a great job. So I call again and set up my next appointment. This happens to be right before the holidays. So the day comes I sit and wait and no one shows. I was so angry I called up talked to the rude guy again and asked for the manger. He tells me he is the manager and that he gave my appointment away because he called me and I did not answer my phone. He never left me any message nor did he try calling a second time. Even though I had made the appointment three months prior. He said this was their policy. I asked to speak with someone above him he said he would have the owner call me and I got no call back. So I hired another company to come out and clean my home had a wonderful experience with them. But I was not about to just give up on my money. So my husband tried calling he got very angry with the rude guy who answers the phones and ended up yelling at the guy. So in the end almost a year later we have made a total of 6 appointments with this company. They have only showed up for 1. At this point I know I am out of the money I spent. I will never trust this company again. I may never use an online cleaning deal again either.
Description of Work: Worst experience I have ever had with a company. Never did get what I paid for.

Two women came in a personal vehicle with only very basic cleaning supplies - - no step stool to reach tops of appliances, bookcases, etc. and no vacuum cleaner. They used our vacuum, but it is not commercial quality, and in the process is was broken. The kitchen sink and saltillo tile floors were barely touched. Even tough the session was for 4 hours, they stayed only 2 hours, and left very quickly, not giving us the opportunity to look over their work to see if it was acceptably done. The only adequately cleaned rooms were the bathrooms. We called the company and were told the owner would call us back, but he never did. It appears the company uses a labor pool. The local BBB gives this company a rating of F. Avoid this company at all cost. They are a waste of time and money.

On the service date provided this company did not show up for the scheduled appointment and did not respond to 3 telephone messages and one e-mail.This is not the first time this has happened regarding not showing up as scheduled. For appointments when they did show up the work was acceptable. Because of their lack of consideration for their customer I will not be using this company again.

Bought a prepaid deal with this company for 8hrs of cleaning, thought it was a good deal. When we called to redeem the deal they never answered the phone and did not return any of the numerous messages we left over a period of almost 3 weeks. Once we finally talked to someone we had to wait 2 weeks for them to send someone out. On the day of the appointment I called to confirm that they were still coming cuz I hadn't heard from them to confirm. The operator told me that we were stills scheduled for 1pm to 5pm, with two cleaners. 1pm came and left with no word when I called at 1:30 no answer, so I left a message, no returned call. I continued to call repeatedly leaving numerous messages with no response. Finally when we sent an email saying we were going to report them to the better business bureau we got a call back at 4:30. The owner, apparently, told us that 1-5 was the window in which they would show up. We said "so they are going to clean our house till 9?" he said that's not the way it works that they had a checklist and they could finish it in about an hour. Not what we bought, not what we wanted and in the end they still never showed up. To make matters worse the man on the phone was extremely rude blaming us for not knowing what was going on. He also claimed that the phone operator had called in sick that morning which was why no one returned our call or answered the phone, he obviously was lying since I had talked with her earlier that day. Overall I think you can see our frustration with metro maids, and urge you to call someone else for your cleaning needs. In the end we did report them to the better business bureau and are still fighting to get a refund, good luck and again do not use this company!

An F grade does not begin to express my dissatisfaction with Metro Maids/Albuquerque Maids. Worst service ever!! Maids swooped in and worked furiously and did nothing I requested and accomplished nothing. Put dish washing liquid in the dishwasher. It was full of bubbles when I opened it to empty it. When I opened the kitchen cabinet to get the dishwasher soap out to rewash the dishes I found that they had put a gallon container of liquid cleanser w/bleach sideways on top of other containers in the kitchen cabinet without the lid screwed on and it fell out and spilled 1/2 of the container on the floor. I found the container of floor wax on top of the tv in the living room and realized that was what was spilled on my new couch. (They didn't wax the floor however!) Not sure what was done by the kitchen maid as the fronts of the cabinets were not wiped, the refrigerator was not touched, the floor was swept but not moped. I spent a good hour cleaning up messes that they made and then more time cleaning things that they didn't do. Spoke with a supervisor who assured me she would look into this and get back with me. No call back and no responses to my phone messages. Avoid this company at all cost. Purchchased 2 sessions, but will not let them come back to my home. Even at 1/2 price-I paid way too much for this service. DO NOT purchase Groupons or Living Social coupons for this company!!!

Description of Work: I had a Groupon coupon that took a while to use due to scheduling conflicts. The overall ability to contact the company was very poor and when I did contact them, they put me on hold for five minutes and then cut me off. I also got a call to confirm a cleaning that I had already had. They really need to work on their customer service.Now, the cleaning. It was fabulous. Due to the restrictions of the coupon, I asked for one cleaning only as opposed to two. I was told the group would arrive between 1 and 5 p.m. Another downside to the scheduling. The four women who came were so thorough and professional that I would definitely employ them again. It's a shame they work for such a poor company.I would have liked to consider a contract based on their cleaning alone. Sadly, it's not worth trying to contact them or the requirement to wait the whole day for them to arrive. I don't know if this would be the case if it wasn't a coupon but I don't want to test it.Overall, wish they had decent customer service and they will run their company to the ground if they depend on residential cleaning.

Got a Group-on gift certificate for Christmas. Was saving it til I knew I would need help following a major surgery. It took multiple calls over a month to finally schedule an appt. My first call resulted in "I'll check on it & call you back". I waited more than a week & Corina (office) told me I was lying!!! Yes, lying!! They were scheduled to be here between 9-1. As mentioned above, they called twice for directions "We're lost". I never heard from them adter that. NO SHOW.I tried for 4 hours to get through to the office. More than 20 calls got me to a recording to leave a message. Each time the mailbox was full.After 4 hr I got a nice lady who didn't know what to tell me but she'd check on it & try & call me before 5. In other words, don't expect to hear from us.Do not do business with the company. After nearly 2 months of trying and waiting; waiting & trying my house still isn't clean. This company is chaotic, unreliable, unprofessional and just cannot be counted upon.I will be getting a refund from Group-on. BEWARE!!

I purchased a Groupon service from this company in February and assumed they would be busy so I waited until May. After five attempts to schedule service they would not return calls even after they promised to do so. One time I called and was told that she just leaving for the day and to call back another time. Finally I called Groupin who tried twice and yet no response. Luckily Groupon was professional and refunded my money.

I called this company three times to give me an estimate on cleaning my house. The first time, I just left a message. The second and third times I spoke with the secretary. She said she would give my message to the president, and he would call me back. I never received a call. I hope they do go out of business. They don't respect potential clients. I will never call them again.

This was one of the worst experiences I've had trying to get a service even scheduled and performed. I had to repeatedly call the company before even getting to talk to anything other than voicemail. Even after leaving numerous voice messages I never got a call back until after I was finally able to get a real person on the phone to schedule the cleaning. The cleaning appointment was a month out from the time that I called, which I wasn't pleased about, but I agreed to a date and time. On the day that I was to have my house cleaned I left work early and arrived at my house 30 minutes before the scheduled time to make sure that I was there well before they arrived. I ended up waiting there all afternoon until 5:15 before I had to leave. I called Metro Maids twice while I was waiting to make sure that someone was coming to service my house, but I ended up getting voicemail again. I never got a call from Metro Maids explaining what happened. I had to end up calling back routinely to talk with someone and find out what happened (I have still not heard why no one showed up). It finally took me 3 weeks of me calling Metro Maids, not them calling me, to reschedule the cleaning. Each time I called them they said that they would look at the schedule and call me back with available times because they were booked solid; they never called. On the day of my rescheduled cleaning I called in the morning to make sure that someone was coming to do the cleaning, but from the response of the person on the other line it was apparent that I wasn't on the schedule again. But they did inform me that I was also scheduled for a cleaning in June, which I never requested. The cleaning crew ended up showing up at my house 3 hours before my appointment, while I was still at work and unable to leave. I had left a key for them to get in anticipating something like this happening. By the time I got home they had already left, but did not do a great job cleaning. They did not clean the inside of my microwave as they stated they would. The kitchen counters had scummy streaks on them. The shower door was still covered in soap scum. The window sills in all the bedrooms were still covered in dirt, but they did manage to clean the blinds. The cleaning service was just as bad as the scheduling service. I would never use this company again and it was not worth the money that I paid.
Description of Work: 8-Hour Spring Cleaning of house. To include: Detailed cleaning of your home, all furniture dusted, baseboards, blinds, shutters, window ledges and ceiling fans. Kitchen: We clean appliances in and out, (refrigerator interior at your request) cabinet exteriors, counters, sink and empty trash. Bathrooms: Cleaning cabinet exteriors, counters, sinks, vanity, mirror, shower, toilet and bathtub. Bedrooms: Furniture is dusted and beds are made. Carpet is vacuumed and floors mopped using the wet mop, dry mop process.

Member, All appointments are scheduled on a first come first server basis. I'm sorry thast you had to wait a month to have your house scheduled. This is not how we conduct business. I can honestly say that normally itonly takes 48 hours to have your house scheduled. Because of the response that we had from the promotion we had to hire more staff members and it has been a challenge to get clients serviced on the date they were looking for. I hope you'll consider us in the future.

At this rate, I will not have them again, regardless of the quality of work they do. Their business practices are totally lacking. Not a call from anyone at the company, and no one has showed up the entire day!
Description of Work: The appointment was for 9 AM, although I was told the time slot was from 9 to 1 PM. At 1, no one had yet arrived. I called the number I had, and was told they were running ahalf hour late because some workers did not show up. You would have thought a courtesy call would have been made--tells me the manager/owner is not on top of things. At 2:45 PM, still no one. I left a phone msg on the number I had. I called again at 4:45 PM, and left another msg. I finally called the toll-free number and reached a call center in another state. The phone person said he would get in touch with the owner, a Mike, to call me. Well, no one has called. The fact that no one called me this morning to tell me they were terribly late is inexcusable. Poor management. So, I have not yet gotten the cleaning service I have paid for.

Worst service experience of my life. To begin with, just getting an appointment scheduled was nearly impossible. Lots of excuses for not calling me back, i.e., being on vacation, broken computer, etc. Once I was finally able to schedule a day. I was told the maids would arrive at my home between 1-4. I asked Metro Maids if they would be able to complete the cleaning that day, because I had purchased the Top to Bottom Cleaning Package, and my house was 2200 sq. feet.. She said no problem. They are really fast. On the scheduled cleaning date, April 5, the Thursday before Easter, the maids had not arrived by 4:15. I called Metro Maids and they verified my address. At 4:45...still no maids. I called again, and Metro Maids verified my address again. The Metro Maids employee on the phone, said, " I don't know what to tell you to do. I am leaving for the day, and we are closed tomorrow. I asked for the Maids' phone number so that I could call them myself and help them with directions. I was told that it was not possible.At 4:50 PM, I received a call from someone who said he was calling for the maids, and they were lost. I verified my address again, and gave him the nearest large intersection. About 10 minutes later he called to tell me that the maids were knocking on my front door, and why wouldn't I answer the door. I went to my front door...no sign of any maids!. Apparently they were on the wrong street. Finally, they (three maids) arrived at 5:20 PM...and the first thing one of them asked me was, "Do you speak, Spanish?" After I said no, the maid who appeared to be the crew leader, made hand signals to ask where to clean. I tried to explain to her that it was a Top to Bottom cleaning and showed her my coupon. She couldn't read English. I was concerned that they wouldn't clean the items on the top of my kitchen cabinets where I display a few antiques, so I gestured up there They all had this horrified look on their faces, and the leader made a phone call. When she finished the call she said something to indicate that they would be cleaning the items on the top of the cabinets. My assumption was that a top to bottom cleaning would have included this. I tried my best to tell them that they were supposed to clean everything...it was top to bottom. In 1 hour and 40 minutes the leader came to tell me they were finished, and managed to communicate that I should inspect. I inspected the kitchen first, and they had not wiped the blinds down, so I gestured that this needed to be done. (This was something I had specifically asked the Metro Maids scheduler at the time I made the appointment. She assured me that dusting the blinds was part of the deal. ) The fireplace mantel had not been dusted. Again, another gesture from me...and they did this. Here are just a few of the things that didn't happen which I assumed would have been cleaned in a Top to Bottom cleaning...Baseboards were not dusted, the kitchen cabinets were not washed or wiped, spaces between any wooden slats in furniture were not dusted, carpeting under end tables, night stands, kitchen chairs, which could be easily moved, were not vacuumed..the list goes on. They used a small wet swiffer to supposedly mop my kitchen, entry, and bathroom floors. They were streaked beyond belief. They used stainlees steel polish on my kitchen appliances, and managed to get it all over the tile floor areas in front of each appliance. This caused the grout to turn white about 15 minutes after they left, and I had to get down and scrub it out of the grout. I will never hire this company to do anything in my home or place of business. After having to ask them to wipe the blinds and dust the mantle, I was so frustrated by the whole experience, that I didn't even attempt to ask them to do the other jobs I thought would be included. If I wanted a 2 hour cleaning, I would have purchased a 2 hour cleaning. They were standing on my front porch with their cleaning supplies and gadgets, and were obviously anxious to go. No one ever called or contaced me afterward to check on the work. I don't think that the maids had any idea of what they were supposed to clean and the extent of what was to be cleaned. If they had spoken English, I feel that I could have communicated my needs better. Knowing that my contact, Doris, at Metro Maids was gone from the office didn't help the situation at all. I'm still wondering about the man who called me after Doris had left the office to tell me the maids were still lost, and then again, to tell me that they were knocking on my door. I think he was their interpreter. This was my first time to ever hire a cleaning service...What a disappointment.
Description of Work: This is what I supposedly purchased.... drop $149 (regularly $374) for a deluxe top-to-bottom spring cleaning package for up to 2,500 square feet, which includes up to eight hours of cleaning by a team of three to four people for all rooms excluding basements and attics. These pros will dust hard-to-reach places, polish your appliances, detail your bathroom, and more.

Metro Maids (aka Metro Source or Metro Enterprises -- why all the names?) provided me a quote and scheduled an appointment to appear at 10 am on 7/13/10 at my rental property. At 9:50 am, after leaving work to meet Metro Maids at my rental, I called to confirm. The President/CEO, Andres Griego, said he was running late because he was cleaning a commercial property and would be there at 11 am instead (in hindsight, if he was cleaning a commercial property at 9:50 am, he probably never intended to clean my rental). I called again after he didn't show at 11 and he said he was just finishing up and would be right there. I called and spoke to him again between 11:30 and 12 and he said he still wasn't there but would call when he arrived at the rental. I called again multiple times and left two messages and never received a call back. Metro Maids never showed up and Mr. Griego never called me to say he wasn't coming, to reschedule, or even to say he was sorry. After my experience. I found Metro Source on the Better Business Bureau of NM's website and saw a recent complaint about how Metro Source/Maids/Enterprises (not sure of the actual name) ruined a bunch of property at another house it had cleaned. Either Mr. Griego is completely dishonest, and took another cleaning job intending not to clean my rental or to let me know, or he is completely unprofessional, telling me three times he would be at my rental and then never showing up. A simple phone call from him asking to reschedule would have resolved the issue. If what Mr. Griego did to me today is any example of how he runs his business, I can't imagine that he keeps many customers.
