Martina S Ortiz House Keeping

I have been using Martina's services for some months now, but only to clean the floors every two weeks @ $45/time. I had plans to start using her services to clean the entire house every two weeks starting in August. However, I needed help "spring cleaning" and decided to have them do the whole house. In the past, I noticed areas that were left undone (a whole room not vacuumed, etc.), but those were of no big consequence. I would simply talk to the staff next time. I found that if I inspected their work prior to the staff leaving, things worked out much better. Unfortunately, after they had cleaned the whole house, I noticed that afternoon that the top of my brand new dryer was dented in two places! My guess is that one of them climbed onto the dryer or stepped onto it from a ladder to clean the cabinets above. I texted Martina about the problem and got a response from one of the staff. (Evidently, Martina was in Mexico.) The workers that had cleaned the house all came out and looked at the dryer last week, but they all denied they had caused the damage. I texted Martina two days ago and have not had a response. She has been very slow to respond in the past (maybe a language barrier issue?), so I am uncertain if she will eventually contact me or what. I explained to them that I have plenty of things in my house that are broken, and I have certainly not blamed them for those. THIS - I am certain that neither me or my husband did the damage, and no one else had been in our house. I would have been willing to work this out with Martina and staff, but the slow response and the denial has me uneasy. Even though the staff is friendly, I no longer feel comfortable having them back to our home. Too bad I didn't use an insured company. Lesson learned.

I had been working with another (larger) company & was not particularly satisfied with them: could not give me a firm time to do the cleaning (& I cannot keep my whole day free), were pretty expensive & did not do a much better job than I could do myself. So I started looking for another company that would be more responsive & found Ms. Ortiz. They showed up on time, did a much more thorough cleaning than I can do (got my glass shower stall really clear for the first time!) & seemed really concerned about my response. I thought that they might have accidentally let my cat out (could not find her) & they called back later to check to see if I was able to locate her (hidden beneath pillows on the couch!) which I appreciated. I was going to only use them once monthly, but they did such a good job & were so reasonable financially, that I am going to have them come 2x/month. I would highly recommend them (at least what I saw them do at my home).

She has great staff members. She does everything that I ask her to. They all do great work. She has great prices.
