It went very well. The work crew was extremely courteous, and cleaned up the work space very well. At all times, our concrete walkways and flagstone patio were covered to prevent any patching material or colored stucco from staining or sticking to the surface. They brought their own porta-potty and even cleaned up the street after they were done each day. Both my wife and I feel we received a professional work product at a good fair price. I would recommend Ed Lujan & Sons without hesitation.

The stucco looks good but it is cracked in the porch area. We have tried to contact him to come and do the work but he hasn't shown up. It cracked about three months ago and we have called him to come and fix it, but he hasn't showed up. He said that he would come out and fix it but he has yet to come out and fix it.

Responded promptly with an estimate, listed exactly what would be done. Showed up punctually to start work and completed the work as expected. Cleaned up all signs of working. Stucco looks great - match was very good to old stucco. This is the second job I have had Lujan and Sons do for me and both jobs were well done.

Could not have gone better. What a pleasure to do business with such professionals. Punctual, accommodating ,great teamwork and clean up was spotless. Highly recommend to anyone considering stucco work of any kind. .Price was fair.

Although I depend on Angies List extensively, Lujan and Sons was actually recommended to me by a co-worker. Needed stucco repair and highly concerned with matching my old stucco. Repair included areas which were in direct sunlight and under balcony where stucco had not been affected by direct sunlight. Lujan and Sons did an excellent job repairing and extremely impressed with ability to match stucco. Would definitely recommend and will utilize again.

All went smoothly. End result was beautifully done. Stucco work matched the previous stucco color of our home perfectly. We were very pleased with the job that Frank and his crew did. When it is time to do our entire home, we will be calling Lujan and sons for the job.

We chose Lujan over several others because it is a family owned business, the estimating process was clear, and we had confidence in Frank Lujan after meeting him. If you want absolutely artfully done stucco, Lujan & Sons is the place. At least ours is so striking that visitors are still remarking about it. All members of the family and team that we met and dealt with were polite, friendly, approachable, and easy to speak with. The Lujan's removed a majority of the old and rotting latilla's from our small pergola's for us during their prep work. They included installation of flashing at the pergolas and did a terrific job of that, as well. We will call them again if/when we need stucco work.....but, will be better prepared for their work methods. The areas where this company didn't meet our expectations were: - Keeping us informed at the end of each day whether or not they would be arriving the next. - We were new to New Mexico and the stucco process. When we asked if we needed to remove rain chains, potted plants, outdoor furniture and yard art objects we were told it wasn't necessary, that they would move/cover anything that needed it, including shrubbery. One plant was destroyed by cement splatter and several others nearly lost. Everything anywhere near the house was a mess, including rain chains and barrels. If they'd just told us, we would have been happy to make sure all plants, etc. were removed or well covered ourselves. - At the end of the job, after making final payment, we noticed the main TV/internet cable that had been detached from the house to stucco, was left dangling. We are seniors and although my husband is a DIY guy, we felt Lujan should come back to reattach the cable. We called a couple of times, was assured they'd stop by and take care of it, but never showed. So make sure everything is as you want before you write the final check. - Even though they covered our new windows for the stucco processes, during the final wetting of the house the windows weren't covered and they got streaked with cement-y water that we ended up having to scrape off and clean ourselves. Maybe these things are part and parcel with stucco work, but we weren't expecting it so it took a bit of the shine off the overall job. But again, the stucco itself is a thing of beauty. I hope their guarantee is somewhere near as good.

the contract was signed 10/04/2013 and a deposit of 3000.00 was given to Frank Lujan. Work began on10/09/2013 and was finished on the 17th except for replacing the ornimental Iron work and lights in front of the house also the speakers , the light' and the temperture sending unit on the back porch. The final payment was requested and given to Frank on the 18th of oct. at that time I was told by Frank that he would get the other items taken care of on the 21st . It was not done . I called on the 22nd and was told that it would be done by the 25th. it was not done. I called on the 28th and was told he would have someone do it the next day. I called on the 7th of nov and he ( Frank ) said it promised it would be done by the 11th. I have replaced the ornimental iron work and lights in the front of the house after buying hardware to do the job on the 26th of november and foyund that three of the lights were broken and the transmiter for the outdoor thermometer was missing. At no time did anyone ever call me to say they could not make it , or would not do the work. I have waited until now 12/02/2013 to see if it would get done . Although I was happy with the work that was done I would never ask them to do another job nor recommend them to anyone. I felt as though I had been ripped off once he got his money he was gone and did not have the decency to even tell me he would or could not complete the job.

I had an appointment for an estimate, they rescheduled at the last minute when I'd come to meet them. They never showed up for the reschedule. I called them again, and they promised to call me back, but never did. Just be honest if you don't want the job.

They made an appointment to provide an estimate. My husband took time off from work to meet with them. Nobody ever showed up or called to reschedule. They might do great work, if they show up.

The stucco job is great. But they don't pay attention to detail, and I will explain. I had a BBQ grill outside, and they didn't put plastic over it, before mixing the mud, part of the stucco job. So the mud went everywhere, and I didn't know, and I went to cook chicken breasts, and they were gray on top, before I had to turn them over. I took one look at the chicken and threw it out, plus the BBQ Grill. To clean every inch of it, would have taken hours. If they would have put plastic to protect this, it wouldn't have gotten ruined. Also when they take the light fixtures off my house, they didn't pay attention to where they went back, and they broke 2 fixtures which they paid for brand news one, and of course put on the house. I might be a little more picky than most, since I didn't grow up in NM, I expect things done right the first time, and not to have to call people back again and again to fix this or that. They were very nice and professional, and always said thank you, which was very nice, but I would want someone to pay attention to detail as they pay attention to being nice. If they would have marked things with a wax pencil to know where things go back would have been helpful to both them and me. Simple little things. So, if you have the time to watch for these things, to make sure the job is a better experience. They ask for 1/3 of payment as they go along, and then another 1/3. That is all fine. I suggest who ever you use, that you don't pay them fully until every last item is taken care of. That way you will get it all done. Please remember money talks. I just held back the last 3rd payment of this job, until all details were taken. There were no bad words, there was no arguing. Once you get clear of what they need to finish up, they do come out and get that done. But if I didn't watch them, I wouldn't have gotten all my lights back up and working around the house. Plus a touch of wood that they took off, and I had to have them remake that part too, since it looked bad without it. Over all experience was good, and we all want great when spending close to 9K on a job. Stucco job was great, and color too, they just don't pay attention to detail as well as I feel they should. So if you don't mind paying attention for them.............I think you know the rest.

I used another company that could start sooner.

One of the Lujan sons came out to give an estimate - he was very friendly and very efficient, knew what I wanted with very little explanation. Out of 3 estimates, his was the best. Crew showed up in the morning and worked quietly and efficiently all day to do destruction of the carport and base for the stucco. They cleaned up everything when they left and put all back in order. One week later the crew showed up again and it only took them half the day to finish the stucco. They cleaned up everything before they left. It was a great experience having this company do the work. Every meeting scheduled the person/crew showed up about half an hour later than originally planned, but I was phoned to let me know they would be a little late.

All of the men were very professional, polite and task driven.

Very well. It was a hard time of year with the winter temperatures, but all my concerns were taken into account and addressed to my satisfaction.

Overall, I would use them again.

We had widows installed by a previous contractor. When it rained the windows leaked. I sign up for Angie's list and found Lujan/ Sons they came out and gave us an estimate. Completed the job and they are very professional. They did a GREAT JOB.

My husband and I have used Lujan & Sons for our previous house and for a recent stucco overhaul at our current residence. In both instances, we have been very pleased with their professionalism and the quality of their work. Lujan came to the house within a few days of our first call and providedan estimate at the time of the initial site visit. The crew started work a day early (with notification)! The crew was polite and professional. They completely rebuilt the parapets and replaced the window as specified. In the rare instance where we felt there was an issue with the work as it progressed, our concerns were managed quickly and taken care of with no problems. The finished product looks great and was finished in time for winter.

They were here promptly, as they said they would, for an estimate. They gave it to me on the spot, no waiting to get it. I was surprised, as I had been told they would be high, they were not the highest bid I had received. With that, they gave a 10 year warrenty on labor and material. How I wish the previous people had done that. They cleaned up after themselves in a very good manner and did a couple of small items that needed to be done with no extra charge. I was very impressed with their professionalism.

Very professional, punctual and they do great work. It looks like a new house. We would hire them again if we build a garage.
