Lucero Construction

Hired Lucero Construction to repaint extensive exterior exposed wood beams, posts, and pergolas. The crew did an outstanding job and were very conscientious about masking off areas. The winds did not allow for any spraying so it all had to be done by brush. Every evening, the workers cleaned up and stored their painting equipment. They were very polite and professional, and they did a fantastic job that was challenging, to say the least. This is the third time I have used Lucero Construction and have never been disappointed in the quality of their work, craftsmanship, politeness of their workers, and cleanliness of the job site. I will use them again without hesitation.

I made 3 phone contacts to discuss specific part of the work that I was gonna get done, so they did 3 basic carpentry, parts of the remodel only at my request. Quote about specific charges, were verbally given to me 3 times with changes. I verbally agreed to a cabinet adjustment and 4 drawers and altering one small trim. I was quoted 6200+, one of the workers came to my house to collect half of the deposit and bring me the contract, the contract did not contain list of specific parts to be done only the amount. Work was completed in 8 hours/day and 3 and a half hours, making it a total of 11 and half hours. The itemized contract was brought the next day the work was done. The manager was verbally hostile, accusatory, and demeaning that there was additional painting that was under written contract which I have not seen. The workers finished and took some mismatched paint left my project done with mismatched paint. Total work was 11 and half hours, was overly charged and verbally abused.

It was very good. They did what I asked them to do. I was surprised to see the end product.

This team showed up when expected and on a regular basis, unlike my previous experience with contractors. Their work passed inspection with no problems. Both projects presented difficulties because of sloppy original work and the Lucero brothers accepted and met the challenges of the jobs.
