The job was well-done. Very professional. I used them a number of years ago to resurface my pool, and both times they were extremely trustworthy. They did a great job, and knew exactly how to proceed. My only complaint is that they are a little short on the communications end. I had to follow up to find out when we were scheduled, over how many days the repairs would occur, etc. However, once the schedule was set, they stuck to it. I would highly recommend them. They know what they are doing, and their prices seem fair.
Description of Work: Sorry I don't remember the actual cost of service, but it was thousands. They had to jack-hammer out a section of pool decking (concrete), fix a leak which turned out to be where the skimmer joined the pipe, put in a new skimmer (which I asked them to do since the old one was exposed), and pour new concrete.

Beautiful tile and plaster job. Great pump, filter, heater. Great folks to work with. However, there were issues. 1) Apparently, the filter wasn't assembled correctly at the factory and it wasn't checked, so filter material was deposited in the pool while it was curing over the weekend and we couldn't contact them to correct it until Monday. They came in an fixed it, but we think this lead to a slight discoloration of the beautiful plaster job. 2) We expected the bubbler for the spa to be refurbished, but apparently not. I am so happy to have the pool functional again, that I can overlook these issues, but I'm guessing other people may not be so generous. If these had not happened, I would have given them all Excellent scores.

The bid was over 2 times the amount than it should have been. It calculates out to $18.43 per SF. Yikes! I did get a bid from another company who does the same process, and it came out to $8.57 per SF. I would not do business with Leesure Pools. Whether it was price gouging or he deliberately inflated the price so I would not hire Leesure, I do not know, or care. There is just one word to describe what he did: Insulting.
Description of Work: Jacob came to my home to give me a bid for going over the tile floor in the kitchen (170 SF), and first floor bath (40 SF). He explained the process, timeline, and other issues, e.g. expect dust. Jacob stated that he would email the bid to me, and left.

Hello [Member Name Removed], Our price was not meant to insult or upset you. Due to the size of the job and the fact that it is indoors our pricing will be higher in this situation. I cannot comment on the other price you received, I do not know their procedures, products used or quality of work. I believe our prices our fair and are consistent with the quality of work performed. I know is some cases our prices can be higher than other contractors but I am surprised the other contractor was so much lower. I would have loved a phone call to discuss the estimate with you before you gave me a negative review on Anjie's List base on one price given. I hope the other contractor does a great job and the project goes smoothly for you. Jacob Poper

Jacob responded to my call requesting an estimate for a concrete restoration job on our front porch/patio. He scheduled the meeting a day later and arrived at our home on time and well prepared to discuss our needs. Jacob went into detail to explain the process they use to bring old concrete to life and he took measurements. He was highly professional. One day later, as promised, we received his bid via email. His pricing was consistent with what he had discussed with us the day before. Not sure if we are going to restore our concrete or just lay down pavers over it instead. However, If we decide to restore, I will eagerly contact Jacob and have him do the work.

The job itself went fairly smoothly. We were working with a contractor who was constructing an outdoor kitchen as well, and that is where most of the delays came. Whenever I tried to contact, Lee Poper, the owner. He would get back to me promptly. The problems came after the job was done: 1) The newly poured gunite pool began to discolor from white to a brownish bronze after about six months. I contacted Lee about this issue, and we had to redrain the pool after the first season of use and have his workers come out to use a blow torch to correct the discoloration. This occurred only after he accused our pool company of not having the chemicals adjusted correctly and sent out his own workers to recheck the chemistry. We had to pay an additional $1000 in addition to paying the water bill to refill the pool after the work was done. 2) Our previous pool deck was covered in something called Kool Deck, which was wonderful because we have children who are outside and cannot be relied upon to put their shoes on. I emphasized to Lee (on more than one occasion) that I wanted a cool surface for our new deck. He suggested a plain poured concrete deck, and we chose a greyish color. I asked about the need to apply Kool Deck or acrylic to this concrete to ENSURE that it would be cool, to which he stated that would be unnecessary. During our first season of summer use, I noticed the surface was incredibly hot and even called Lee on the telephone to complain. Of course, he didn't offer any solution. This summer (our second) our children are older and we have had more pool parties. On more than one occasion, we have had our children and their guests wind up with THEIR FEET BLEEDING due to the heat of the concrete surface. As children can be, they were careless running around without their shoes on, thereby burning off layers of skin and ultimately causing a bleeding wound. Now, I have to find another company to apply an acrylic surface to our brand -new concrete. I WILL NOT BE USING LEE-SURE POOLS AGAIN, NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND THEM.
Description of Work: They broke up our existing pool deck, moved pool equipment, resurfaced our gunite pool, installed an automatic pool cover, and poured a new concrete surface.

Leesure Pools opened my pool after it was closed for almost two years. The pool was very dirty and needed to be acid washed. Additionally the timer that was put on a couple of years ago never worked. We asked Leesure Pools to replace it. Instead they checked it and found it just needed to be rewired. This saved us money and solidified our feeling that they were a good, honest company. The techs were great and the work was completed quickly.

Description of Work: My driveway is 25 years old and was deteriorating rapidly due to poor drainage. Lee-sure recommended a drain to instal and I agreed. They totally redid the concrete and installed the drain over three days at a cost another company gave me for the concrete work alone with no suggestions on the drainage problem. Had used Lee-sure for my patio a few years ago and was confident they would do what they said and they did.

Mr Poper was a very courteous and professional individual. His crew were professional and handled the project with minimal down time. The end result made our 16 year old pool look brand new in addition to allowing us more enjoyment with the addition of the slide. We would recommend this company to anyone who is in need of pool repair in a New-York minute.

Appointment for quote went well, Jacob very responsive. Good explanation of technology and process to be used, including maintenance and upkeep and future "refinishing". Competitive with similar technologies and with natural flagstone. 3' wide curved walkway connects existing patio with new 14' circular patio in backyard. Expansion joints appear to be flexing properly six months later. Additional caulking was requested and is colored to look natural. This job draws many compliments from friends who see it.Hopefully the sealant and color will last as expected. Surface seems scratch-resistance from patio furniture so far. Slope seems correct and drains properly. Overall, a nice job.

I would grade them very highly as they were excellent. My husband usually handled pool related issues. But, he was out of town and I was having some major issues when I called them. I called them because they had a good rating on Angie's List. I called them thinking that I would get them out but instead they just helped me through right away on the phone as to what I needed to do without any charge. It was not that difficult of an issue but they were great. I did exactly as to what they said. I thought that these were the people that I would work with if I had any pool issues.

I am writing to formally give you kudos, thumbs up, pat on the back, sing from the highest mountain, how happy we are with the job you and your staff did to our pool and surrounding area. From the very beginning you were very professional, listening to our needs and desires, taking notes, measuring, offering suggestions and not feeling offended when we didn't agree. You gave more than we could have asked for. When things came up unexpectedly you explained what was happening in a manner I could understand and you were very easy to work with. Your insight as to the technical and visual side proved invaluable! I must also say your staff were all pleasant to be around, professional, happily answered questions and listened to my suggestions. Everything you did..we love the fountain, we love the drain around the perimeter and the rocks to hide that it'a a drain, we love the patio cover, the tile job, the plaster and the stamped and stained concrete. Putting it all together we really feel we have a showcase pool and patio area! All thanks to you and your incredible team of workers. (this job was started in Nov 2010 and completed in Dec 2010, as planned) Kelly Atkin and Roy Ricci
Description of Work: The Lee-Sure Pool team removed old concrete decking & coping, updated entire pool plumbing, provide drainage around entire pool area, built 2 sided fountain, repaired in pool lighting, plastered the entire pool surface, installed new tile, converted to salt system, & installed new patio cover. Lee has worked with me since I wrote my earlier review. He has made sure that I am happy and has gone above and beyond what was needed to get there because I have been too busy to do some of the maintenance. I am impressed by the effort and I would recommend Lee Sure Pools, Inc. for pool/spa service.
Description of Work: In short - Lee Pools was really hired to clean the spa after they poured new surface wall (see concrete surfacing category), fix a couple of tiles and set it up to be used. The spa hasn't actually been used in years. It was turned on in march and another company did maintenance on the whole thing and ensured that all was working well, changed the filter etc. I wasn't going to use it the way the wall was, and I told him to hold off setting it up for use until I fixed the wall. Before Christmas Lee Pools came and turned it on, cleaned it, refilled it and left the cover off. My hose was left with water inside it to freeze. I assumed that they were leaving the cover off to get rid of all the chemicals used to clean it. I assumed (you know what they say), that they would empty the spa and clean it up and deal with everything once all the concrete work was done and make it useable. I left the hose inside the house to melt the water and then emptied the hose of water. Rolled it back up and put it outside. Once all the concrete work was done, someone came and added chemicals to the now green water (left all the leaves, pine needles that had amassed in the spa in there, saying that we should remove them with a net and that the filter would take care of all the dirt that was in the bottom) and covered it back up. Left the hose again with water inside to freeze. I was then told that the heater was now broken and needed to be replaced. Water was coming into the heater. So, I am an idiot. I don't know anything about spas, as you can probably tell. They knew that. I should have called the owner, Lee, when I saw the lid off and asked him if I should put it back on. I should have asked him if the way everything was left would be alright for the spa? Because the guy doing the spa seems like someone who just does exactly what he is told, not more, not less, all I can think of is that he left the heating unit in a state he shouldn't have. It froze and now water comes into it. Yes, it was an older unit, but considering it was checked out in March and given a clean bill of health, I can't stop thinking that something isn't right and I'm left paying for a new unit. I can't prove anything and I may be wrong and completely unfair, but because of this bad feeling I have, I'm not happy. Something like that shouldn't have even crossed my mind. I probably should have had someone else put in a new heater. At least Lee is letting me pay in installments because I just hadn't planned on this little expense. Since I wrote the above comments, the Jacuzzi began leaking. Lee Sure has worked with me to get it fixed. He hired someone to look for the leak, he hired someone to dig up the yard (removing and replacing flagstone), fix the leak and test it. Although this helped, the Jacuzzi was still leaking because of its envelope. Lee gave me a quote to redo the inside of the Jacuzzi with layers of rubber and plaster. I let them do it. (I am also paying for this in installments). They came and scrubbed the walls for five days because I just couldn't get to it. They came and adjusted the pH and have been checking it regularly. So, Lee has been very accommodating and professional and I appreciate everything he has done. I have changed my rating to reflect that. Lee stands by his company's name and reputation and will do what is needed to make sure that his customers are happy. I am happy. The whole thing cost me much more than I ever imagined, but I have what looks like a new Jacuzzi and one of Lee's employees, Mike, has been really good about teaching me how to maintain it (cleaning filters, adjusting pH…).

Overall, it took longer than I thought (due to my changes), cost much more than I had wanted to pay, but it looks good. I would recommend Lee Pools for concrete work. I have also posted a report for Lee Pools for the Spa cleaning and activation. That report is not glowing.
Description of Work: In short - restructure outside wall of in-ground spa (the portion above the ground) and resurface patio that was aggregate cement. I initially called Lee Pools for the spa and Lee explained that they would set up a round form to pour a new, larger and smooth wall with colored with a cement compound. I showed him the carpet covered aggregate cement that sits under a covered patio and how I could not find anyone to tackle it who would not have to add 1/2-3/4 in height. Not wishing a tripping hazard, I wanted something else. Lee said that he could get it covered without such a significant difference in height. Just before the holidays his men poured the wall of the spa and let it cure. They then tackled the patio. Lee had thought that making both the spa and the patio floor the same color would be nice. I agreed. When it came to color I was given the choice of four large swatches of stamped concrete (we did not want stamped concrete but textured). There were a brown, beige, pink, orange swatches. Worried about the pink being too pink, we went with a mix of beige and brown. Tom of Lee Pools worked hard and long to make me happy and kept everything clean and tidy. He caulked the area between the patio slab and the house and made the whole area look clean and fresh. Unfortunately for Tom, I had him redo the color because all I saw was orange. Beware of swatches vs. the color as it ends up on your surfaces. The team was great, though. They really wanted me to be happy and tried different things until I was more happy. They even came during the week between Christmas & New Years to try and finish up. This is still not what I wanted, but that may not be possible with the color choices they have. The whole thing is so much better than it was that we have gotten used to it, and actually have grown to like it.

Very well. They were on-time and Lee did an excellent job of keeping me informed of the progress and coordinated well with the sub-contractors. There were no surprises and Lee was very accommodating with payments. I have worked with a lot of contractors and home service providers in Albuquerque and Leesure Pools is in the top 5% in my opinion.
Description of Work: We bought a house with an unfinished pool. We hired LeeSure Pools to complete the work which included plastering and tile work. Electrical and plumbing were sub-contracted out to other firms. LeeSure Pools were consistently on-time and professional and there price was reasonable compared with other quotes that we had received. Even after the work was completed they have made sure we were pleased and helped us with the ongoing operation of the pool. LeeSure Pools did an excellent job and were very pleasant to work with.
