Response from Lambert Construction
This is so unfortunate that the member whom I had contacted three times would post this on our account. The reason that we did not send the member an estimate is because the work he was asking us to do was out of our scope of work. We had referred him to Minute Man Refinishing because he wanted over 20+doors stained and refinished. As I mentioned to him, we could not help him, but maybe they could. He also mentions that he had to reach out to us many times, Matt went on the appointment and explained to him that we did not do this type of work and he would have to consider another company, but he had a hard time understanding that we did not do this type of work. But we tried explaining to him that we are very good at what we do, we are not refinishers, you need to have a dust free environment for this large of a project. We could call in another subcontractor to do this work for him, but we did not want to charge him an additional fee when he could go direct and save our added percentage. If you notice in the members comments, he contradicts himself by stating that he tried to reach us several times, then he says "they said they couldn't help me" and right after that statement he says that "they didn't call me back" So which is it, that we could not help him or that we did not call him back? Unfortunately, in this type of business we as a company and human beings try to do everything we can to make clients happy. There are so many different personalities in this world and we sometimes run across an individual that either doesn't understand something or we have a miscommunication. But I can tell you that I truly love Angie's List for those clients we have done work for and who have worked with Matt and I on a personal level, they know our hearts and know that we want nothing more than for them to be happy with our company and our level of commitment to each and every project. It is so disheartening to know that there are individuals out there who will try to make you look bad maybe not intentionally but will post a negative comment and give us an F when we truly do not deserve it. I am not sure why Angie's List would allow this to happen for clients who do not have work done. The idea is to work with a client and if we do not meet their expectations, then allow them to post on our account, but when we do not even work with the client and they or a competitor has the opportunity to post a negative review, it only makes us look badly in the consumer's eyes. So I hope if you are a prospective client, that you rate us on the work that we have done for people, and look over these non work performed ratings, as they do not represent what we do for clients or who we are as people. It makes me sad to see such a report, as we try so hard to please everyone and realize that there are some people who are just mean....but we will continue to push forward and work hard to do what we do best, thank you for reading this wordy post and we look forward to working with you.
