LA BARGE LANDSCAPING

The experience was quite unpleasant. The owner iwas very friendly and sociable during the estimate, but we really felt that lack of a tie-in should have been discovered during that estimate. He was not on-site at the beginning of the project. He wanted the workers to continue work after lack of a tie-in was discovered, which would have been a real disaster. We called a plumber to check for a way to access the main water linE, and learned that that would have involved digging up our concrete driveway, which would have put the cost way over the top.

We talked about what I wanted. I only wanted 6 plants but when he gave me the estimate it was for 22 plants and boulders-which we didn't talk about that. He inflated the estimate. I ended up not using them.

I didn't have the chance to pick them. If they want business they should have called me back so I could schedule them but they never called me back.

I had quite a bit of landscaping done in my backyard. The man I hired to do the original work was a nightmare. The quality of work was good but he only showed up maybe once a week. What was supposed to take one week turned into 2 months. Anyway, I was unhappy with the quality of stone he used for my walkway. (I wasn't home when he finished ). I was NOT going to have him come back under any circumstances. A friend recommended I call La Barge. I did and they came out immediately to give me an estimate to replace the substandard stone. Jack, the owner, quoted me a fair price to replace the stone. His crew showed up on time. They hand chipped the sandstone to fit together attractively and were done in two days. It was about 25 feet of walkway. They were clean, careful of my plants, and when they left you would never have known they were there except that my walkway looked fabulous. I am so pleased with this company I will use this them whenever I can. They also do construction. Going to have them build a porch cover for me. I'll let you know how that goes.

La Barge Landscaping do what they say they are going to do. Their prices are average; they are not to high or to low. They come when they are supposed to and they trim the landscaping to go with the plant. Everything is not rounded or squared; it depends on how what the plant is on how they trim it up for me. Which is certainly different. I think they are certainly fair in their pricing. I have probably used 22-25 landscaping companies in the city. When you own commercial property you have to keep it maintained all the time and there are so many people who don't do what they say they are going to do and to have a gentleman who will do it is excellent. I would recommend them to anyone. Their professionalism is very excellent. I will continue to use them. I have used them for about 8 months now.

Jack, the owner, arrived on time to take measurements and look at what I needed to have done. I had an estimate by the next morning. I felt the price was fair and they could start the following Tuesday. Jack and his crew arrived promptly at 8:45 Tuesday a.m. We reviewed what I wanted to have done. They moved rock and dirt to prepare the ground for the concrete. They built up and removed whatever was needed to make sure the sidewalk would be level and have the proper slope for run-off. They had forms set and everything ready for pouring for Wednesday morning. They waited for my approval for shape and placement before they poured. I asked for one small change in the form and they were happy to accommodate my request. Concrete was finished by Wed. night and it looks great. Will finish review when job is finished, so far so good
