Just Sprinklers

Matthew quickly isolated the leak cause to grains of sand that had gotten behind the two gaskets. He explained that when the city has to repair water main breaks (there have been several in our vicinity over the past two years), dirt and sand get into the water supply and can get behind gaskets, displacing them slightly and causing leaks. He removed the two main gaskets, cleaned and reinstalled them (the were not damaged). The leak stopped. Since he had fixed the main problem well within the service hour (they charge by the hour), he offered to check the six irrigation zones that are currently programmed. He quickly determined why the water flow was too low in one zone and repaired the cracked end cap sleeve and adjusted the flow control (which no other technician had ever explained how to adjust). I'm totally pleased with Matthew's service. It was quick, accurate, effective, and courteous.

I agreed to pay for the service but after it was done I believe I over paid. Because I had to redo most of the drip I was given $100 off my original cost and then told they could redo my 100 foot of drip for another and quot;discountedand quot; cost of $675.00 plus tax. I had to laugh and decline. I was told I could get a water rebate for my water saving sprinkler heads only to find out it is through the water authority and it's two dollars per head and it is a credit not a rebate. They apply it to your bill as far as I know. I don't know if I am saving money or water with the new sprinklers we shall see. Grass is greener.

Great service, high quotes, recommendations to replace parts that aren't really necessary. We had a quote on the same problem by another Sprinkler company, and it was much cheaper.

I was thrilled with his professionalism, his knowledge of the system components, his ability to find and check all of the parts of my fairly elaborate system. He answered every question since I will eventually need lots of landscaping (particularly in the front yard), made sure I knew that they do landscaping as well as sprinkler systems. He guided me to the website and told me where to find an example of a fancy landscape that they did. I absolutely will use them when I am ready to do my bigger landscaping jobs.

The estimate was given promptly and the work was scheduled within a couple of weeks(July 2013). I had to pay 50% of the invoice amount on the day of the estimate. Two men arrived on the scheduled day and began by trenching through the front yard to connect to the water source. The new system was installed in the back yard just beyond a block wall, so, several feet of trenching was needed to get to the back yard. I only had direct contact with one of the workers. I did not stay outside to watch everything they did, I now know that was a mistake. They finished the installation in about 2 or 3 days. When they finished one of the installers walked me through using the timer attached to the system. What I noticed within the next couple of days was that some, in fact quite a few of my plants seemed to be missing. After digging around I found the plants mashed into the ground and covered with dirt. I had to assume they were trompled during the install. The worst thing was that my front yard was flooded every day for the next 2 or 3 weeks. I called them immediately after I noticed the flooding the first time. They said it could not be their fault as they did not do anything to the irrigation in the front yard. I kept calling them trying to explain that it had to be something they did as the problem started after they connected to the water line in the front yard. They actually sent someone out to look and he stated it could not be their fault and left. I took pictures, several over several days of the flooding and attached them to emails and kept sending them. They kept saying it was not their problem or their fault. Finally they sent a young man out who said 'Oh, yes I am sure it happened during the trenching to connect to the water line'. Since the front irrigation is under the jurisdiction of my home owners association, I cannot touch it and Just Sprinklers cannot touch it either, not even if they caused the problem. So, he explained that issue to me and suggested I contact my homeowners association. I guess I expected Just Sprinklers to fix what they had broken, but, legally they could not. I was concerned that I would be fined by my home owners association for damage to their irrigation water line, even though I personally did not do it. I contacted the homeowners association and they came out immediatley. What they found was about a 4 foot section of their irrigation line that had big cuts in it, exactly where Just Sprinklers had trenched. They fixed it that day. No more flooding and no fine, so far. If Just Sprinklers had been a little more forthcoming about the possibility of their involvement in the problem it would not have taken so long to get it fixed. One thing the estimater stated was that I would get a fake rock to cover the new pipes sticking out of the ground, I did not get any fake rock. I did get a visit from one of the technicians showing me how to winterize the system. I paid the remainder of the bill the day after the install was finished and at that time I was told I would get a paid in full invoice attached to an email the next day. I never got that either. I have decided to use some other irrigation company in the future. I would not recommend Just Sprinklers as I think they care about getting paid and not much else.

The outcome was great. Eugene showed up in the nick of time with a ll the solutions so we can install our freshly cut sod tomorrow and know that the sprinklers will work and he even took the time to program our box so we will get just the right amount of water to keep the new grass happy and healthy. Just Sprinklers, not really they are about great technicians, like Eugene and if you need help with drip systems, water projects or sprinklers, just call Just Sprinklers

Not well. Note: Just Sprinkler parts are VERY expensive - $279 for a timer and $105 for a rebuilt DVF valve. A time at the local big box can be bought for $50. Biggest problem though is the sprinkler system did not go on the next morning as programmed. Vendor will come back to look at and hopefully fix. Question is, will there be a charge?!! In sum, very, very, expensive.

Knowledgeable friendly and helpful staff. Competitive prices and wide selection of sprinkler parts. I tried to get what I needed from Home Depot and ended up coming to Just Sprinklers instead on a regular basis.

Ed from Just Sprinklers was a pleasure to work with. He went above and beyond helping me figure out what zones we're broke when our pool was put in. He also pulled together some guys on short notice and worked with the pool contractors to figure out the best way to run new irrigation lines.

I submitted an online request for someone to repair a leak in a drip line of my sprinkler system. I received a call back the very next morning and Mekyle came out the very next day. He not only repaired that leak, but because I had paid for a service call, he took the extra time to check the rest of the system to see if it was running properly. He found one other small leak, and a broken sprinkler head. He was very professional and very helpful. I will certainly call Just Sprinklers in the future.

Horrible experience. Everything Just Sprinklers did for my yard fell apart, never worked correctly, and is an overall disappointment. Technicians want to sell expensive parts and services and then don't know how to install correctly. Had to call in an independent contractor to fix brand new expensive system that has never worked correctly. I will never call this company again.

Fantastic ! Mark (the owners son) was the most knowledgable and honest person I have ever met! Great kid - great job dad His values is why this company will succeed I swear I never met or did business with this company prior. I am fairly new to ABQ and love when i experience this level of service. I was a little leery at first because it sounded like a large non-caring type of company, but what a surprise. They know their stuff and very fair!

Daryl Wiggins arrived on time, inspected and adjusted heads as needed and replaced one head. He was friendly, quick and informative. The whole experience was great. He instilled a lot of confidence. Thanks Daryl.

Witnessed the worker talking to his boss twice, with guy reporting to me that his boss said: and quot;get out of there. You lost a lot of time and have five other jobs to doand quot;. Felt that the work was done by inexperienced workers who did not have quality in mind, only checking off the job and moving on. It was a stressful experience that occured over a period of 2-3 days costing me in total three times what I expected. The flagstone stabilizing and rock replacement was something I insisted I didn't want done at this time. The worker was very pushy and wrote it up anyway, coming back a day later, instructing the inexperienced worker to do the job. I was totally dissatified with the entire experience and the result I got from so much money spent. Lesson learned. Try someone who is more professional next time and who has a reputation for doing a good job. Would NOT recommend this company.

We had heard about their reputation in repairing a big job for a neighbor, so we had them come out to repair a job gone wrong by one of their competitors. They may be a bit on the higher price side, but you definitely get what you pay for. It's worth it for their great guarantee and their high level of knowledge. We were really happy!

The estimate was too high so I went with another company.

A second visit was needed to collect all the right parts for the repair. The service representative did an excellent job of installation and, just as important, cleaning up after the installation. We have no comparison experience to evaluate the price, but we would be willing to have the company back if the need occurs.

We are rehabbing our yard. To start with, I needed to find out what kind of irrigation system we had. One fellow from and quot;Lobo Lawnand quot; first came and and did a lot of digging, but his prices kept changing and varying wildly before I had the chance to even agree to his additional work. So, we called Just Sprinklers to find out if what the Lobo Lawn guy had discussed and described or needed to happen was correct. I learned alot about the importance of pipe size and depth in the yard during the estimate. I also learned how everything in the front and back yards are hooked up. They sent a fellow who fixed the first area needing repair in the front yard. He came on time and worked quickly with accuracy. There was a related leak in the backtard after the gentleman fixed the pipes in the front yard, but (when I called) Just Sprinklers sent somebody after hours to shut off the leak and show me how the front and back yard irrigation systems were related...hence the repair ended up showing another area in need of repair (this is not what Lobo Lawn had described). That discovery was very helpful for my planning. Finally the originally estimator came to explain the new set up of the yard to me. I feel we got alot of useful information and repair from Just Sprinklers. Their original estimate appears like a lot, but they did what they said they would do and the price did not keep rising as with Lobo Lawn. I feel that we certainly got our money's worth with Just Sprinklers. I plan to use their service again!

Answered questions in detail, informed me of the proper parts to use and showed me how to install. Cleaned up all old parts. Double checked that everything was in good working order.

When one leaking plastic buried sprinkler pipe from late 1980s was dug down to be fixed, another part of the pipe would burst, and that was not Just Sprinkler's problem, but the age of the plastic piping. -- What I disliked was the way they calculated the final charge to me, adding an additional portion of an hour (15-20 minutes) to the 2 hours they were here. That was not ethical nor justified, and I watched the person who was here doing the work phone his supervisor for total billing hours, and his supervisor had him charge more. -- Previous, in 2007/8, I had spent thousands of dollars to Just Sprinklers, having them come out to the house (residential area), to bring front and backyard boxes up to code with reverse osmosis. However, that added unjustified charge in 2012 of less than $50 really irks me, so they should not expect to get my business again. THE ISSUE IS ABOUT OVERCHARGING...AND THE and quot;JUST SPRINKLER'S RESPONSE IS OFF THE MARK and IMAGINARY and is SO OFF BASE. IT APPEARS TO BE A and quot;CANNEDand quot; RESPONSE, NOT BASED IN THE REALITY I HAD AT MY LOCATION. I HAD TO SHUT OFF ALL MY WATER FOR SPRINKLERS immediately after the visit. So, Just Sprinkler's TOTALLY missed the mark in their response, and lives in Dream Land. Where they write: and quot;Aparently the work done at your house solved the problemand quot; -- WRONG, and IMAGINARY -- and quot;Thankfully you didn't have any further leaksand quot; -- WRONG and IMAGINARY -- and quot;and the system functioned well for you in the 2012/2013 irrigation seasonsand quot; -- WRONG, and IMAGINARY -- and and quot;Hopefully your system continues to work as well.and quot; -- IT COULD NOT WORK... THE REASON I DIDNand quot;T HAVE FURTHER LEAKS IS BECAUSE I HAD TO SHUT OFF THE WATER ... -- PLUS, THE ISSUE I WROTE ABOUT WAS OVER-CHARGING.

I have been troubled by severe dry spots on my lawn ever since the landscaping was installed. Some of my sprinkler heads were failing to lift completely when activated, and the system obviously was not providing adequate coverage, although and quot;professionallyand quot; designed and installed by a landscaping company. The person who was providing normal lawn maintenance service had not been very helpful in troubleshooting or solving the problem, so I attended one of and quot;Just Spriklersand quot; free seminars to see what I could learn. I was very impressed with the presentation, so I decided to have them come out for consultation, thinking they surely had the expertise needed to solve the problem. The technician who came out was pleasant enough. However, I do not feel that he was all that knowledgeable. He didn't do much of an evaluation, other than to pronounce that my water pressure probably was not strong enough to handle the number of sprinkler heads I had. He recommended a different kind of sprinkler head, explaining that if I changed one head, I would have to change them all, at a cost of about $20 per head. (The particular type of sprinkler head he was recommending costs about $6 - $7 at hardware stores.) Other than his cursory observation, he didn't really demonstrate much expertise or offer any other insights or options for resolving my issues at anything less than the nearly $3000 and quot;Just Sprinklersand quot; would charge to change out the sprinkler heads.

The entire project went very smoothly. They were well organized and efficient. The same foreman was here every day. Other than hauling concrete, all work was done by their staff. Minor adjustments had to be made in the schedule due to weather and we were kept informed. Everyone from the company was courteous, professional and skilled at the job they were performing. Staff provided great attention to detail and to getting everything done properly. We are extremely pleased with the project and plan to use this company again.

I have had excellent experiences over the years with Just Sprinklers. Their techs are normally willing to answer questions and give advice as to Sprinkler system. They are very reasonable, do not push to sell extra services or products. A couple of years ago, it happened to be sleeting and raining and snowing all at once. They worked on a leak for hours in those conditions to stop a major leak in the system. Again, the price was very reasonable. I would like to recommend them very strongly.

They came to and quot;trouble shootand quot; sprinklers, but discovered problems with solenoid that would require additional $850 replacement of manifold and valves. Seemed like a racket to me. And in any case, way more than I had in budget. When I said no thanks, they still pressured me to pay $90 just for coming over. I flatly refused, on the grounds that they had done nothing more than give me an estimate for future work. Clearly, they make their money from selling expensive systems that cannot be easily repaired. And they don't like to be questioned about the parts and pieces.
