 + 1 moreMade a complete mess of the job. Had to hire another company to complete the job. Job included removing the bottom 2x4 of the soffit up about 1.5 inches over a length of 12-feet to raise the soffit to ensure installation of new kitchen cabinets. He installed sheet rock on the horizontal surface. Major gap (~ 0.25 - 0.50 in) across entire length of soffit. He did NOT smooth coat the soffit (wanted additional money for smooth coat). Time = 3 hours WORST CONTRACTOR WE HAVE EVER HIRED. (HAVE HAD ~ 12 HOMES)
Description of Work: Soffit needed to be reduced in height by 1.5 inches.
