Jack Davidson Handyman

The project turned out better than we even expected. Jack is skilled at listening to clients needs and helping envision the end result. We are so pleased and will definitely be hiring Jack again in the future.

Jack worked very efficiently, and I was always surprised by how fast he completed tasks. He is also far cheaper than large companies and other handymen around town.

I would advise against hiring Jack. New Mexico has many incredible crafts people and Jack is likely one of them. But after engaging in him for custom work, I was left with very expensive custom bookshelves that were not built to spec and last minute gotcha costs that were not communicated until delivery. Jack was curt, defensive, and dismissive of my concerns upon delivery. He did not treat me like he was at all invested in the project I had commissioned him to do but rather appeared annoyed that I had concerns about how off we were in price and spec. The bookshelves are too large by several inches to go where I had measured them to go. When I measured out the difference and showed him how ill fitting they were, he just shrugged and told me to "put them somewhere else". He also added additional cost, which he said was due to lumber being more expensive, which is fine but he could have communicated that when he purchased the lumber not after delivery. I felt like he was shaking me down for my last penny so he could be on his way. I ended up paying 1350 for the bookshelves, which is a huge sum. As it is, I have rescinded the recommendations I have made to neighbors. I wouldn't want anyone else to have the same experience. But I hope my experience was a one off and he is able to find his professional footing.

Jack is great to work with. I am very satisfied with the woodwork he has done for me, although he does other kinds of work also. He is very reliable, and reasonably priced. He shows up at agreed to time and very responsive by text and phone. All traits I find excellent in persons I choose to work with.

It went extremely well. Jack performed all the requested items in a very short time and in a very professional manner. I couldn't have been happier. I will definitely use Jack again.

It was wonderful. Jack listened patiently while I described what I wanted. I also wanted him to take a little creative license. I would say he hit the balance perfectly! And he made the banco (which actually also has storage under the seat) exactly the right height for me. All three pieces are extremely well-made and absolutely beautiful (see posted pic). He sealed them with walnut oil for us, which is great for my chemical sensitivities. I literally could not be happier with the end product!

Jack did beitiful wood work in my kitchen and installed a new floor. The result was lovely! He worked with usthroughout the project and gave us great ideas. We were very happy!

We hired Jack to frame in, insulate, and sheetrock our cinder block garage to turn it into a more comfortable living space. He met us to check out the project, asked pertinent questions about the level of insulation we needed, and gave us what turned out to be a spot-on, accurate estimate. He purchased the necessary materials, showed up on-time with all the tools he needed to do the job, and completed it on schedule. The results were great, with snug joints and smooth taping that, when textured and painted later, looked just as nice as any of the walls inside our house. The insulation worked wonders, transforming our sweltering/freezing garage into a cozy, secondary living room. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Jack Davidson for any construction/handyman jobs you might have around your house.

Jack was very easy to work with and extremely competent and knowledgeable. He did a great job on all the projects we asked him to complete.
