Description of Work: Did a poor job and never finished.

Description of Work: Was to do complete landscaping of new home. He did all water works, courtyard brick, gravel and tree and plant planting . Of the 10 trees planted, 5 died and he had garanteed them for 2 years. Chuck worked with Jerico Nursery and they fired him so he nor the nursery would warranty the trees. He did the drip system water works and we had to redo a large portion of it.. Chuck was very undependable on answering calls or keeping appointments. I would not hire him again.

Description of Work: Terrible winter freeze in January 2011 killed many of my trees and shrubs. I employed Intellegent Design (Charles Lopez) to replace them. He did a good job. Chuck met me at Jerico Nursery where he has an account to help me pick the 12 replacement plants. Some of the dead ones had been Rosemary. Chuck recommended alternative species to use in place of the ones that died. Buying the plants at Jerico allowed me to have Intellegent Design's 20% discount. My total cost of plants was about $330. The next day Chuck's three man crew showed up on time with all the new plants to (1) plant the replacement shrubs, (2) trim two giant butterfly bushes that had simply gotten out of hand in recent years, and (3) totally dig up and remove two 12-14 foot dead trees. My yards are graveled and I requested that the gravel be pulled back from the plant locations before removing the dead plants and replanting. This they did on all but one plant. They removed all dead plants and cuttings and hauled them off in a trailer. They seemed to be adequately equiped for all the work required. They came with three big bags of soil enhancement for the planting and only used one so too much of that was bought but they left it with me and gave me instructions on use of the quart of liqid root stimulator during ensuing days. My total cost for labor was $660

Description of Work: We had Charles Lopez (owner) from Intelligent Landscaping work on our backyard. At first it seemed to be good, but it continually got worse. He seems very intelligent of landscaping and had great ideas for our yard. He showed us 2 yards from his work, along with introducing us to his partner who was financing his business. We had decided to work with Charles to do our approximately 1,000 sq. ft. backyard landscaping that included irrigation and a sprinkler system, approximately 625 sq. ft. of sod, two trees, 3 bushes along the back fence, and another 8 various bushes spread throughout the yard in the rocks. They completed the yard quickly within two days. It was looking great and we were impressed. When they left nobody failed to turn on the sprinklers or explain to us how the timers work, what they were set too, or even how the entire system should operate. Long story short, started the landscaping on 6.9.05 and he never completed the job until 7.23.05.
