Hot Springs Spas of Albuquerque

They only had 3 used hot tubs for sale and they were really used looking, very shoddy old spas, and the prices were very high. $3500 for one very small very used spa, and $3000 each for the other two very used, very old spas. It was a very disappointing selection. Then the brand new ones were very high priced. I was surprised how expensive the spas were.

My Review of the owner of Hot Spring Spas in Albuquerque, NM: I bought a spa on Sunday evening right before they closed. The next day, a financial situation caused a change of mind and we called the business to cancel the purchase of it (an $8000 dollar unit, but we only paid half on Sunday). I told them I wanted to wait until end of summer to buy it. Even though the hot tub was STILL in the store, and it was JUST purchased less than 24 hours ago, they would not stop the purchase on my credit card. This is poor and dirty business. There would not have been any loss for them, since it is still in their store. The owner has poor business ethics and customer service skills. If the owner would have worked with me, I would have come back when ready, and been happy to give them outstanding reviews. But, instead he chose not to work with me and force sale his product. Now we are unhappy with the owner and therefore the business. What happened to customer service? Lesson learned, watch for the very fine print that says "Absolutely no refunds". This means even if half was paid less than 24 hours ago, and the product is not even yet delivered. I don't trust business owners who operate in this manner. Since I was forced to purchase the tub, I scheduled it to be delivered and pay in full upon delivery. When they delivered the product, the movers were in such a huge hurry, they didn't work with me to get it in the right place that I wanted the tub in. They kept filling me with lines of why it couldn't be moved to where I wanted it. Chris the Manager had to come after work and help us two gals out with moving a 700 pound tub to where it should be. But, while moving it, it caused a small nick to the side of the tub, which Chris said he would acquire a touch up pen to hide the nick. I see that a prior member posted a poor rating of this business for the same reason (Absolutely no Refund Policy). This should tell you that the business has poor communication skills on their contract.. They should verbally warn the customers of what they are getting into, or have huge warning signs hanging on their walls, rather than fine print on a contract.

Jeff came to our house within a day of of our call and had the spa fixed in 10 minutes flat. The problem was a burned out circuit board for the heater, which he found immediately. Very quick service at a reasonable price.

I ordered the hot tub two months before I needed it, expecting a long lag time. It arrived within a couple of weeks, so Hot Springs kept it in their warehouse until my remodel was ready. Then they delivered it and set it up, all very well done. I got several calls from Chris to see if all was satisfactory. Took a while for my (independent) electrician to hook it up, but now it works fine and we are very pleased!

We purchased a house with a hot tub and were new to hot tubs. When we tried to get the hot tub to heat up, it would not. Hot Sprngs send a great tech out that showed us how the tub works as well as diagnosed the problem correctly immediately. The repair was reasonable and he even suggested a maintenance item that should be replaced that we would not have known about otherwise. Very happy with Hot Springs and will definitely use them in the future.

They had the nicest spa; the spa in color, size and everything that fit our needs.

We agreed to purchase a hot tub and subsequently changed our minds less than 24 hours. We lost a down payment of $1,000 and subsequently were served a letter from the owner's lawyer threatening litigation. We had to pay and additional $1000 for "lost profits" in addition to paying for legal counsel. This is to inform potential buyers of how we were treated and to advise you to carefully read the fine print of the contract IN DETAIL prior to signing.
