HOOVER'S AIR DUCT CLEANING

We were originally told to expect them between noon and 2pm. We were pleasantly surprised when they showed up right at noon. They quickly went through the house with us locating all the vents while making friends with our four small dogs. Then they got to work, removing and marking all the registers and filters for cleaning. The house is 28 years old and has only had the ducts cleaned once, so they really did need it. I could hear lots of debris going through the hose. Then the furnace was cleaned, dusted and wiped down. Marshall asked us about the dryer vent, then offered to clean the vent for no extra charge. Turned out, the dryer vent hose needed replacing, so they replaced the hose and the two hose clamps at no extra charge. Wow, was it dirty behind the dryer! They wiped down and vacuumed that too. Marshall also offered us insulated outdoor spigot covers to prevent any bursting pipes with the cold snap expected this weekend. At no extra charge. Marshall, Derrick and Francis were all extremely professional, courteous, polite and very friendly. They pointed out any defects in the ducts so we could be aware of them and cleaned up after themselves. They took off their shoes at the door and covered furniture with plastic to keep it clean. What a pleasure doing business with such a professional and knowledgeable crew. Thanks again for everyone writing reviews on Angie's List so we were able to find these guys!

I said most of it already. They said they would arrive between 11 and 1:00 and called a few minutes before 11:00 to see if it was convenient for them to come then.

We are totally pleased with the Hoover service from the initial phone call to the completion of their work- all professional. For us a great job also means that, after they left, I could not tell they had come into the house; everything in place, neat, and clean. They arrived promptly as promised. Their care given to the furniture and walls is greatly appreciated. Mr. Hoover and his two men did a thorough cleaning job of our vents. Thank you very much. Our breathing will improve!

Mr Hoover and his team showed up promptly and performed all services in a timely and professional manner. They were extremely neat and performed the service within the time frame they has promised. They went over and above to ask questions and supply answers concerning some otherl items at no extra cost. They completed the job and left a spotless work area behind.

Marshall along with Francis and Derek arrived on time. Were most courteous, efficient, and respectful of my property. They work as an efficient team and waste no time. My condo had just had major remodel and had probably never had ducts cleaned, so there was a lot to do. Marshall replaced the furnace filter (no extra charge), and instructed me in how and how often I should do this. I found this company on Angie's List and was so impressed with all the glowing reviews. Now I can include mine. It is a pleasure to find people who are so professional and take pride in their work. Highly recommend and will definitely use again.

A crew of three, including the owner of the company arrived on time. They were very polite and professional workers. I was very impressed by the thoroughness of their work as well as the care they took with my home and possessions. I will hire them the next time I need the vents cleaned and would highly recommend them to any and everyone. For the amount of time they spent I thought the price was very fair.

Everything went well. They were prompt, professional, cleaned up after themselves, and did a great job. I appreciated that they had flexible scheduling and that the owner followed up to see how the job went.

Marshal Hoover and his 2 workers arrived 5 minutes early, explained what the service would entail and immediately proceeded to see where all the ducts were located. They took off their shoes and wore either socks or house slippers!All the vent covers were removed and labeled( to make sure there was no mixup when returning them) . A large vacuum was placed outside with long hoses. While Hoover's 2 helpers were cleaning out the actual vents in the ceiling, Marshall was outside with soapy hot water scrubbing the vent covers. The area around the dryer vent was thoroughly vacuumed and the vent itself was cleared out. It really needed it as the pipe had about a foot of backed up lint! To complete the cleaning of the dryer vent, one of the men took the vacuum hose outside on top of the roof and cleaned it throughly. The only thing that was overlooked was a replacement extra vent cover that was needed was left outside on the ground! Overall my experience was excellent!

Went with Hoover's to clean my air vents and dryer vent based on Angie's list reviews. Neither had been done in the 11 year history of the house. I received a quote and set up the appointment over the phone. As expected, they arrived promptly on the appointed day and were professional and courteous. As with other reviews, they protect the furniture and the corners of the house. They do go the extra mile, as evidenced by Mr. Hoover replacing the cheap plastic tie wraps on my dryer vent connection with sturdy metal hose clamps at no charge. I was also told I was getting a new cap cover for the dryer vent on the roof. I'm not sure that happened, but I may not be looking in the right place, I have not gone up on the roof. I was very satisfied with the service. Go ahead and call them, you won't be disappointed.

Marshall and his crew of two came exactly on time. It took them three solid hours. They were completely professional, polite, and friendly as they went about their work. Before they started, he showed me a picture of the inside of my duct work and you could tell it had not been cleaned for years (I've been in the house for 4 years and I've never had it done). I could hear all sorts of noises as junk went up the suction hoses. They were careful to put towels and drop cloths down, vacuumed when they were done, and cleaned and put back the vent covers even better than they found them. I got a new dryer vent and furnace filter for free, and Marshall also put in a "deflector" in a vent to help direct the central air from where the duct makes a right angle turn towards the front of the house (front room got really warm in summer mainly because it's the room farthest from the central air/furnace). I was even able to use my Angie's List coupon for $25 off! I appreciate their work 100% and highly recommend them. (I originally almost fell for one of those $69 whole house duct cleaning ads until I checked one of them out on Angie's List and saw "Fs" across the board. That's when I found the company with all As, Hoover's.)

Wow. I've never had such a good experience from any kind of contractor/service provider. Mr. Hoover showed up exactly on time with a couple of his employees. He gave me a price quote on the phone and honored that quote even though after almost 2 hours of work, we still couldn't locate the source of the stink. They vacuumed, probed with a camera, and even sliced open a duct. I'd gladly have Hoover's do a full duct cleaning when it's time to get that work done.

Mr Hoover's gave me an estimate over the phone. The process was easier than anticipated. Mr Hoover and his team showed up to my home on time and where very professional and courteous. When cleaning out the furnace vent Mr Hoover informed me that he did not have the correct size of filter needed but quickly went to pick one up to replace the old one. I was also shown all that had been cleaned out. All my questions where answered, and I plan on using this service again in the future.

UNBELIEVABLE! We had contacted several other local companies for estimates and information. It wasn't until we called Hoover's that we KNEW we were talking to a company that had both ours and their interests in mind. They provided an estimate over the phone based on the information we gave them. They showed up at the time we agreed upon but then the REALLY GOOD stuff happened! The crew reviewed the information they received from me over the phone was correct. Then took time to set up their equipment. In doing so they took GREAT care to protect each corner inside the house where their hoses would go around as to not mess-up the baseboards. Took off all vents (carefully) and washed them each with warm water and a cleaning solution. And took care in covering, moving and protecting anything that had the chance of being damaged or in the way before starting the cleaning. The time it took to clean was longer than OTHERS had told us it would take (even with less people involved to do their service). This was a good thing in our minds because they were being thorough. They showed me a filter and dryer vent hose they felt needed to be replaced (both were obviously needing to be) and went to the local hardware store and purchased them - charging me only their costs! They kept me informed during the service of anything they felt I needed to be aware of and walked through when all was done. I was VERY impressed that when they left, EVERYTHING was back in their normal places, the floors were cleaned (they vacuumed a few places that got dirty) and you never would have known they were there unless you knew it. They recommend having the duct work done every 5 years and the Dryer vent every 2 years. We may just have it done more often just so we can experience the professionalism and GREAT service done that is seldom experienced in these days of economic stress and competition. We built our house 18 years ago and had never had the ducts cleaned. They were filthy. Hoover came at the appointed time and were very polite and neat. We had only planned to get 11 ducts cleaned,but he also suggested we get the return air and the dryer duct cleaned. We are very happy we got the dryer duct cleaned because it must have been a fire hazard with the amount of lint that came out. My husband had cleaned it with a kit he got from Home Depot. It was obviously not adequate. Hoover also scrubbed the grates and put them in the right position which they hadn't been in before. Now the air conditioner works better and I assume the furnace will work better in the winter. Overall we are very pleased.

The Hoover's team are very prompt, friendly and professional - they truely live up to the Angie's List rating. They arrived on time, inspected and verified the vent count before work began. Furniture was moved away from vents if required, and gently replaced in the exact location. They worked fast, but remained friendly in the process. I was very pleased with their efficiency and kind manner. I feel their workmanship is excellent, and very reasonably priced. Thank you for providing such great and honest service Mr. Hoover!

Highly recommend Hoover's Air Duct cleaning. Mr. Hoover and his two helpers were prompt, professional, polite and friendly. We had not used an air duct cleaning service before but wanted to get all the dust, grime, construction dirt etc...out of our system due to allergies. The gentlemen were careful and very conscientious about cleaning up any loose detritus (minimal) that may have inadvertently fallen out of the ducts after vacuuming. They were all eager to please, and once finished they wanted to be sure they had done a good job for us. We used the $25.00 Angies List coupon and got 1/2 half off the dryer vent cleaning fee since they performed a whole house vacuum. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Hoover's did an outstanding job. They cleaned all ducts and filters. They were very careful to clean everything up before they left. They went the extra mile on our service. They were going to do a dryer vent cleaning at a reduced rate. However, it was snowing the day of service and it could not be done. However, the owner told us he would honor the special rate on another date, because of the snow. I highly recommend this compnay.

All work was done in a timely, clean and professional manner. Owner and crew arrived on time and the cost was as quoted. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

The owner, Marshall, was very professional and friendly. He just does one thing, has done it forever and is reasonably priced. All I can say is what everyone else says. Very happy. Hoover's had a discount from Angie's List for $25 which we also used -- great service, called and had them out the same day to clean the air ducts in our new rental. They used a system that had hoses feeding all the dust/allergens/etc outside into a separate containment system which made for a clean, efficient job for us! Professional staff and they did an excellent job -- we already notice our allergy problems have diminished (now if we could get Mother Nature to do the same outdoors!). Would recommend Hoover's in a heartbeat :-)
