HOMES DIRECT OF ALBUQUERQUE

I want to thank Todd Vanberg for his gracious replacement of our certificate of origin of manufactured home. We purchased this home in May 2017. We went to Del Norte our County seat and registered the home but never received the title for the Home. This year I retired and we needed to transfer the title to another church. When we looked at our documents we found that we never did get a title and that I had used white out on the manufactured home certificate. That voided that certificate. When I asked Todd about it he graciously said that he would replace that certificate and did it very promptly and without any charges. Thank you Todd! We have had an excellent experience with the Homes Direct team. JJ Hostetter who sets up Karsten homes here in the San Luis Valley is enthusiastically impressed with the quality of Karsten Homes. He showed me through two HUD homes and suggested we go to Albuquerque and special order our home. He suggested that I connect with Bruce Patt who is now retired but who thoroughly understands Karsten Homes! Bruce helped us with fantastic upgrades and we are very very pleased with the home! We have had a few issues with flooring and electricity just like any home would have, but Bruce gave us exceptional suggestions to solve those issues! I would very highly recommend Homes Direct! I’ve been in the home for seven years and I’m very pleased with the quality, craftsmanship and design of this home! PS. Sorry Todd that it took me so long to give this recommendation!

Bought the home in August 2021 and put half the amount down in cash. Told me it would be 3 months. House came out of the factory in May 2021, 9 months later. I pair the remainder of the full price at that time because they said they would not deliver until 100% paid for. Now it is October 2021 and the house still cannot be occupied. I have no idea if or when I will ever be able to live in a home that I have paid 100% for.

Excellent process, and set up care and repair by crews hired by Homes Direct. Once they get you to sign off on completion it becomes more difficult to get a call back on calls and emails to the construction supervisor Steve Carman when problems and questions are encountered. Calls and emails are not even acknowledged. They also recommended Casa Blanca Builders of Moriarty, NM as a foundation contractor which turned out to be not such a good choice.. Avoid Albert Chavez if you don't want to spend 6 months of hassle getting your home's foundation, block skirting, and drainage installed correctly.
