After attempting to use the known combination, John Schneidt drilled a small hole to access the mechanism and used a light probe to move the tumblers so that it could be opened. He then took the combination mechanism to the shop and reconditioned the unit to like-new. Considering the work was done on a Saturday, his travel time, and the repair, the cost of service was extremely reasonable. John was very courteous and knowledgeable,

Everything went well. The lock and new plate were installed as per our agreement. The folks at Heights Key & Lock are very professional, efficient and knowledgeable. They only sell high quality materials. Also, they gave me a 15% senior discount. For home installation, there is an additional trip charge.

They had the part and i was out of the store in 10 minutes.

A nice young man waited on us right away. He looked at the trunk lock and said that a portion of the key was sticking out enough that it could be easily removed and the key replaced quickly. The car is an old 2004 Hyundai Sonata. Their shop manual showed a number of key patterns for that vehicle The first one they tried making, didn't work. They tried making a key to the next pattern and it wouldn't work. a bunch of keys were made to the suggested patterns. Nothing worked until the technician happened to see a number embossed on the broken piece of the removed key. That did the trick! Two technicians patiently worked through the problem and resolved it after over one hour of frustration. They kept composed and friendly throughout the ordeal and to top it off, they would not accept any remuneration!!!!

Replaced it, made it easier to use by mounting it so the key slot was parallel to the ground, not perpendicular like before and recommended/provided a flip-covered lock to keep dust out, 5 extra keys, too. Highly recommend these guys.

I had new locks installed. The job went fine. They do free estimates. They were on time and they came prepared.

I took the broken parts to the shop. It was an older model of door latch. The technician at the shop was familiar with that type and was able to fix it .They were so friendly and professional, and fixed it by the next morning. The repair cost a bit but saved me from having to buy a new one which would have been much more expensive and harder to install.. They showed me how it worked and how to reinstall it and made sure I understood so I would do it correctly.

Have used for years. Emergency service available late. Good old fashioned craftsmanship you don't find everywhere. Started using them when my last locksmith could not make an emergency call at night and told me to call back Monday morning.

They were prompt. The lock had to be replaced but they were able to secure the door while parts were acquired. The parts came in and were installed the next day, as promised. We were very pleased with the work.

I believe there was only one time a key didn't quite work and they fixed it immediately no questions asked. Over the years they have done a good job of getting it right the first time and have good, friendly staff.

Called on 8/7/13 at 12:30 and told them this was an urgent request. They said the soonest they could come would be the next AM at 8:30, 9:00. They called back and said they had a cancellation today and would be there by 1:00! Service tech was here by 1:30. Very nice tech, professional, wasn't sure about something, called his office, a few minutes he was at the job, rekeying the locks and was done within the half hour, gave me some info about buying this lock in the future, retested the new key in all the locks in my site, and was done, paid and gone within an hour.

I walked into Heights Key, Lock and Safe with my broken front door entry lock, looking for a replacement. They looked at the lock to make sure it couldn't be repaired without replacement, and showed me a new comparable entry nob/lock. Because my door is thicker than the standard door (2-1/4" vs. 1-3/4"), they went over the basic installation to show me how to install with the included nob installation screws. The locksmith who was in the middle of another project, then took about 5 minutes to re-key the new lock while the original person who waited on me, duplicated 2 keys. All of this while I was waiting, so I would not have to come back later (30 minute drive each way) to pick it up. Great service! Great price! When I got home, I installed the new entry nob/lock without a problem.

The serviceman arrived on time and was helpful. He solved the problem quickly and then made sure the 3 other fire proof cabinet locks were working properly and gave me a suggestion how to engage the lock before shutting the cabinet that he said would prolong the life of the lock.

They were able to quickly solve my problem and at a reasonable cost. I had already been to Home Depot and Lowe's and they didn't have what I needed. Another customer overheard me and recommend Heights Key based on his experience with them.

The locksmith was extremely nice, professional, came on time, and actually fit us in--was full, but with our urgency of getting something new in, he accommodated us on a Saturday! We were very, very thankful and would use this company again!!!!

At work, a key to a file cabinet containing important documents was lost. I called Heights Key & Lock and spoke to Kevin. Per his instructions, I gave him the lock number of the file cabinet (it is a 4 drawer lateral file cabinet that is too heavy to move). Based on the number and make, he was able to locate the information for a replacement key. The next morning, I went down to the shop. Kevin cut two keys for the the file cabinet. Our company has an account with Heights, Key & Lock so I only had to sign for it. The key fit perfectly. I have used Heights, Key and Lock off an on for the past 20+ years. I have used them for replacement keys for home and auto and they came out once to replace a lock. The service is always prompt and the products are of high quality. I highly recommend Heights Key & Lock for any key or lock replacement needs.
