This was the easiest and fastest refinance we have ever done! Heidi was honest, prompt and very kind! Heidi was taking a vacation soon after we started our refinance. First off, we didn't quite know what type of loan we wanted to obtain. We emailed Heidi and she responded immediately with a very detailed explanation of the different loan options available to us. At the time we were looking at renovation loans, but eventually settled on a home that was in like-new condition so that opened up both conventional and VA loan options. Before deciding to go with Heidi, I had done my homework. I obtained price quotes from 5 other lenders, and VanDyk was by-far the lowest interest rate and lowest fees of all other lenders. Heidi provided a very detailed spreadsheet to help us decide on which option was best. At no point was she pushy or trying to steer us in one direction or another. When asked a question, she would always respond promptly and was extremely knowledgeable about all of the various options and requirements. I was a very demanding client... I would continually ask Heidi questions regarding Debt to income ratio requirements, the process of obtaining inspections, the required fees for escrow and the general closing process. Heidi handled it all with style and grace. It was truly a wonderful experience working with her! I cannot recommend her enough.

Matt Hunter, whose name I got off Angie's List, was our agent. He worked on our refinance from September 1 until closing on November 5 which was the first day we actually met in person. Everything was done by phone and mail. He was very friendly, professional, patient and thorough and never seemed put out by our hundreds of questions. His vast knowledge and understanding of this whole process made it completely painless for us. He's the best!

Matt was very detail-oriented, which is rare in the mortgage broker business, and super responsive to every question we had. He researched all of our options and allowed us to choose the one that worked best for us. Matt spoke to us in terms we could understand. He was on top of the paperwork and always returned calls quickly. I think that Perennial's fees are probably competitive with other mortgage brokers, but they were higher than we had paid in the past. Our previous broker was not on top of the paperwork and was slow to return calls closer to our closing date so the exceptional service Matt provided more than made up for the higher fees we paid this time.
